She is the daughter of Hong Kong actors: Patrick Tse (謝賢) and Deborah Lee (狄波拉), and the younger sister of singer/actor Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒). She immigrated with her family to Vancouver, Canada as a child where she still currently resides and holds a Canadian citizenship. Jennifer graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of British Columbia.
