Shin Hye Jung is a South Korean singer, dancer, actress, model and member of AOA (에이오에이). She graduated from Dongil Girls' Commercial High School.

She first appeared as a commercial model when she was in high school. Her mother signed her up for a supermodel pageant, but a scout of FNC Entertainment (FNC엔터테인먼트) was there and convinced her to become a trainee.

Before debuting as an idol, she made her acting debut in 2012 with a role in the SBS drama "Cheongdamdong Alice".

Then, in April 2012, FNC revealed plans to debut a new group that will have a rotating concept between a girl group and a rock/indie band, with 7 members being part of both and one member being only part of the band.

She made her debut in July 2012 as the group's lead vocalist, lead dancer, visual and center with their first single album, "Angel's Story", to very little success. AOA did not find success until mid-2014 when the single "Heart Attack" became one of the most downloaded songs of 2015 and was also one of the longest-charting singles on Melon's Top 100 Chart. Afterwards, the group kept releasing successful materials.

Then, she became part of a new sub-unit, AOA CREAM (AOA 크림), in July 2016. They debuted with the single "I'm Jelly Baby" but became inactive soon after promotions ended.

AOA has not officially disbanded, but they have not released any new material since late 2019, and all members have left the company. Her contract with FNC expired in early 2023, and a few weeks later, she signed with TH Company (티에이치컴퍼니) to continue her acting career.
