She spent several years as a trainee at Coridel Entertainment (코리델 엔터테인먼트) and was part of the pre-debut lineup of PLAYBACK, but rumors began circulating about her being a sasaeng fan of EXO, and despite never finding definitive evidence, Coridel decided to remove her from the group.
She made her debut as a solo artist in June 2017 with the digital single, "I Understand". However, around the same time, PLAYBACK was struggling to find opportunities to promote, so she was added to the lineup as the new main vocalist and maknae. Unfortunately, they became inactive in February 2018, and while the company has never made an official statement regarding their status, it is assumed they have quietly disbanded since mid-2019.
In June 2022, she was appointed as a professor at the Department of Entertainment Arts at Dongmyeong University and in early 2024, she opened an audition academy for trainees.
