She is one of the few female directors in the 80’s Hong Kong cinema. Her directorial debut I Do ! was nominated for Best New Performer (Yu Ka-hsi) in the 1983 Hong Kong Film Awards. Her subsequent projects include horror The Siamese Twins (from her screenplay) and drama Parking Service, both are distinguished at the box office.

She has also appeared on the big screen, with a cameo in Wong Chung’s Cops Of The Town, Chu Yuan’s Let's Have A Baby etc.
