He originally began his career as a reporter at a regional iTV station. He always wanted to become a comedian but failed the test 6 times before finally being accepted as part of the 15th open recruitment for comedians at KBS in 2000. He appeared in "Gag Concert" but, after a few years, his segments began losing popularity and, in 2004, he decided to leave the show.
He returned to TV in 2011 with appearances in "Comedy Big League" but he only lasted one season before leaving.
He established as a photographer and book author and later opened a pizzeria in Jeju Island. He has a YouTube channel where he updates his fans on his everyday activities around the island.
