At first, he joined Motoo Hatta Production Research Institute (1949) and aspired to be a director. He was recommended by Murayama Tomoyoshi, and made his debut in Murayama's "Dead Sea" (1952).
He also served as a lecturer for Watanabe Productions, Tanaka Productions, Nihon University Theater Department, etc., and trained many young actors. His students include Eto Jun, Ishida Eri, Yamazaki Senri, Matsumoto Akiko, Wakamura Mayumi, Moriguchi Hiroko, and Tani Emi.
He died at the age of 91 of congestive heart failure on January 12, 2018. Edit Biography
