In the Taisho era, the dawn of Japanese cinema, he became an exclusive member of Ogasawara Productions, which was established by his brother Ogasawara Akimine, and entered the entertainment world in 1921.
After the war, he appeared in many works including bit parts, as well as in TV dramas when TV broadcasting started and was active until the 1970s in his later years. Meanwhile, he was also a film director under the name of Miyoshi Eiji.
