Jo Min A
- Name: Jo Min A
- Native name: 조민아
- Given name: Jo Min Ah
- Also Known as: Jo Harang, Cho Min Ah, Jo Min Ah, 조진주, Cho Jin Joo, 조하랑, Cho Ha Rang, Jo Ha Rang, Jo Jin Ju
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Female
- Born: June 23, 1984
- Age: 42
She made her debut in 1995 as a child actress using her birth name and was a trainee at SM Entertainment as a teenager.
She made her singing debut (using the stage name Jo Min A) in July 2002 when she joined as the group's new sub-vocalist with their second album, "Again". JEWELRY debuted in March 2001; however, sales for their first album were dismal, and the company, Star Empire (스타제국), decided to make lineup changes as soon as the promotional period ended. The following year, 2 members were dismissed, and she was brought in as a replacement. Their second album proved to be more successful, but the agency was never able to provide stability for the group as their concept kept changing radically from album to album.
In 2005, JEWELRY took a break in South Korea and began promoting exclusively in Japan. During that time, news leaked that she had quietly left the group in February 2006. The agency did not make an announcement until much later as they were actively looking for a replacement. She was part of the group's second official lineup.
In 2010, she legally changed her name to Jo Ha Rang and decided to debut as a solo artist with 2 digital singles. Unfortunately, she received little attention and decided to switch paths and become a musical actress. She could never be cast for a lead role and, in 2013, decided to open a bakery, which has been criticized multiple times for the high prices and low quality of the products and her apparent lack of hygiene while baking.
In February 2023, she decided to start a new controversy herself when she complained on social media about not being invited to JEWELRY's reunions (they had one in 2018 and another in 2022 for two different variety shows). None of the members ever answered, so in July of that year, she escalated the situation by claiming she was a victim of bullying by the other members (referring to Park Jung Ah, Seo In Young, and Lee Ji Hyun). She alleged that the others were smokers and that she had to go to events in a separate van or be used as a "human ashtray". As none of the members ever replied to her allegations, the public did not react in her favor.
She is currently an insurance policy agent.
