Before that, he worked as a psychiatrist at Yale University Medical School, research professor at Korea University, an assistant professor in the Department of Bio and Brain Engineering at KAIST, and an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical School. His research interests include neuroscience of decision-making, mental disease modeling, and brain-robot interface, and he is an expert in complex systems science, nonlinear dynamics, and decision-making brain cognitive science. He is also the current president of the Korean Baseball Association.
