Yeah I think we can agree to disagree...I wanted a moment to see what she went through to understand her character better and sympathize with her more, her past is part of her identity and it's not just about revenge or doing something to the plot. Besides, if DFQC's backstory played a part in his character development, showing more of Xiyun's background could also make us as the audience understand why she decided to act so after her rebirth and the reason behind the decisions she made more clear. That's also considered playing a part in character development right?
and also, I just needed a moment of dfqc comforting her like how she did for him back then which had lots of contribution to their bonding. I just wanted the healing to be mutual and not just "she heals him" as it always is.

The point is that she WANTS to live were she was born and raised because that's her home and she does still WANT to protect the three realms as the Goddess she is lol...The last arc in the drama would have never happened if she just "wanted" to be the moon queen.

This drama ended and I'm STILL translating subs for ** and it's still got so many episodes left that fvckass drama is so damn long lord save me please...I wish I could give some of those episodes to CLJ

The first one from XLH to DFQC when he told him he didn't love her and used her for his gain, and the second from dfqc to Xitun when XLH was reborn as a completely different person lol. They became even actually

Yup DY is LOVE 😭 I was just really happy with every single side character and the way their stories turned out and were wrapped up. DY and JL found e/o after DY losing others and JL having lived a lonely life for such a long time and they are really NOT at fault for the last minute HE lol. Neither are CD and RH. Their screentime was needed and necessary...It's really just the episode length limit and maybe a little bit the pacing that didn't let the mains have their moment together in the end

Yup she can. That's what I think they'd probably do too. Just disappointed that people have not accepted that she has her own set of responsibilities too. She could've said no to them but she probably chose both her lover and to protect people in the end.
