Oh LORD...The curiosity got the best of me and made me read the novel...I cannot fvcking put the feelings I felt when SY told ZY he LIKED her from the moment he met her in words....Like come tf on man she was motherfvcking EIGHT and you were pushing TWENTY be serious please that is insane and crazy BE FOR REAL 😭 I genuinely thought okay maybe he started liking her when she turned 18 which would still be creepy but Iin could kinda pretend she was already fully an adult and feel less uncomfortable but WHAT?? He liked a kid that was barely TEN...It deffo looks like they changed that in the drama but I can't not think about what the actual hell the author was thinking writing this...Master x student xianxia novels never fail to amaze me with the amount of glorified MADNESS they contain lmfaooo This is unacceptably awful but besides from that, I REALLY love the world building and characters in this story. The fantasy side of it has studio ghibli vibes to it and the characters are interesting, they're flawed and not necessarily supposed to make you love them all the time but are complex and quite human. I'm going to hell for this but I'm gonna pretend the weirdass shite was never said and continue reading cause I'm so invested in it lol..

I know personal opinion and all but i feel like I have to say this lol...Crystal is actually really pretty! the L&R team just did her dirty with the styling and makeup. (Just see her My sassy princess pics and you'll know what I mean lmao...they made her look so pale and the hairstyles and customs were just AWFUL, the colors didn't do her justice) In contrast, the styling and makeup team for this drama actually knew what kind of hairstyle and makeup would flatter the actors well and make them look GOOD GOOD ^^
