Haha, I wonder too. Thou he was a good friend, he was too rough on her
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Yexian especially towards the end when he grew up but that doesn’t mean he is good for her or I see any chemistry with them. Even if YeXian was the ML, I won’t wish him on her. With all that she had experienced in life, she dint need someone like him. She needed someone stable to show her that life isn’t all “I will fight for myself” but “we are in this together”
That is what the drama has so much depth. A Splendid Match shows the kind of man the FL truly needs and deserves.
im episode 34the story is interesting but their love story has no chemistry for me personally....like they together…
I understand, we all like different things. I did not see any chemistry between the FL and the 2 ML at all. Gave more of a younger brother and sister vibe. T
Does anybody else feel that there’s not much of a spark between the leads? I think Gu Jin Zhao has a more interesting…
I felt literally no chemistry between the Main Lead and the Second Male Lead. All I saw between them was just friendship whereas the ML and The FL’s chemistry on the other hand blew me away. Yexian was just a child at first throwing tantrums all the time (glad he changed) whereas the ML is what you call a Man.
I started this drama with literally no expectations, I have never watched anything by any of the main actors except the nephew who was in fated hearts.
I went in completely blind because of clips I saw on TikTok and boy was I blown away by the depth of this drama. I am a sucker for Actors that act with their eyes…and the ML Cisha did that for me. My teen years are far behind me so I tend to gravitate towards matured romance. Thank you A Splendid Match team for giving me this rare genuine love between two people. Couples that don’t play games, communicate all the time, support each other. It is truly A SPLENDID MATCH.
WINWIN was another exceptional actor. Especially towards the end when he came into his character and owned it.
I wish commenters would stop talking about shipping the 2nd ML. Once he hit her with that crop, he was done, done,…
Naaa the ML acting is so onpoint. Interestingly his acting won me over, I am a sucker for Actors that act with their eyes…you can see every emotion on his face.
Besides his character was supposed to be calm and calculated. Characters like that are supposed to be less dramatic, It reminds me slightly of Wang Yibo’s character in The Untamed.
Really, the drama was exceptionally done. I followed the plot so easily and saw absolutely nothing wrong with…
Oh wow this is a lot. Almost like an essay. I can see your passion and I respect your views.
For me I prioritize strong, smart characters over anything. When a character is cunning, morally good and smart, you have won me over. The Emperor and Chen Yan completely sold me on the drama and the matured acting, same reason I love The Legend of Zhang Hai. Ofcourse I loved the romance, giving me a character that puts a woman’s need first especially in that era is a plus for me. I had no issues with the plot…I can’t even think of an issue, everything flowed seamlessly.
Yexian death scene was so nicely done, I loved every part of it. Giving me that part towards the ending was a gift. I cherished watching that.
Was the ending rushed? Yes, Do I wish the ending was done better? Yes, but it is what it is i can live with that. I have noticed that whoever directed A Splendid Match is used to directing really long dramas that they struggled compressing all they had into 40 episodes. Even with this flaw I still think the drama was a very refreshing watch and I absolutely love it.
I strongly believe that no drama is perfect. If you want to pick at any drama you are going to find something. The untamed is my favorite Cdrama in the world, even I know the CGI wasn’t perfect.
Me, myself and I is my priority. I like a drama I like it, I am not watching it because I am studying for an exam. I am watching to be entertained. Am I entertained? If the answer is “yes” nothing else matters. And I think that’s how life should be, we shouldn’t take things too seriously. We all like different things and that is ok.
At the end of the day, to be entertained is the goal of the drama industry and I was entertained. Goal Achieved
From ep 1 to 16 to 10 out of 10, then the logic left the chat and it went really so-so, but the last 5 ep were…
Really, the drama was exceptionally done. I followed the plot so easily and saw absolutely nothing wrong with it. The acting, customs, directing, the characters…A splendid match is a masterpiece.
Anyways it is ok, i understand that we all cannot possibly like thesame. We all have different views and perspectives about Life.
