I just finished watching, and I am pleasantly surprised. I actually really appreciate how mature, smart, and understanding they both are. Their relationship was so sweet throughout the drama, which made it a light drama. I cannot imagine how people liked the 2ML because the ML was just better in every aspect and respected the FML.

It's not necessarily forebidden love in my opinion? The ML finds out she's definitely not his sister early on before he actually starts liking her. The FML finds out in episode 27-28, but she just sees him as a brother before that. There can be some moments where it's a bit awkward because technically they're still known to be siblings to everyone else but us. However, it is very sweet, so it's nothing uncomfortable.
No love triangles and it's not angsty. The leads are reeally smart/mature, and arguments get solved very quickly. The SML is her ex, but she is clear that she does NOT like him anymore. Only ML and SML like FL, but FL is only comfortable with ML.
This is focused on the ML and FML and their family matters with a bit of politics and fighting action. You can say it is focused on (sweet and cute) romance... but nothing gets serious until they both know they're not siblings and things settle down (episode 32/33).

Watch it if you love Dylan Wang!! Romance is a subplot in this drama, but for the screentime they had, I really enjoyed their scenes. I usually like romance dramas more too, BUT this was a masterpiece through and through! He became one of my fav actors with this drama :)
so I watched this up to ep4 before while it was airing. but back then I was consumed by SOKP n I’m a 1 drama…
I also had the same experience with the bad reviews holding me back from watching this. But overall, I thought is was a good drama. Also, WHD's acting in Guardians of the Dafeng was amazing too if you want to check that drama out!
