My thoughts on this is that when he went to the cliff after he cried to Buyeon/Yeong, he was closing a chapter.
When he woke up and she was still there he was ready to open a new chapter. The only problem is that this new chapter isn’t really one as I fear he’s accepting her with the belief that Naksu is communicating through Buyeon’s clairvoyance to him, which is not very nice.
At the grave he told her to keep the jade so that Naksu can answer his questions through her so I don’t know for sure where his mind is at tbh

Yeah, I actually asked the same thing when the episode 21 opened and Uk was fighting the shifter man and then when he killed the woman shifter he said it then I realised but yeah I had the same reaction at first too.🌸

Remember episode 3 or was it 2 , I can’t fully remember the queen asked the king to allow her to shift into another body and he said he can’t allow it. I think either 12 or 24 ejectors came in the batches from the shaman queen so it’s really likely Jin Mu has a few left over from then, he wasn’t using them carelessly, he mainly uses them for people who are helpful to his cause so it only makes sense that he has some left over ones.

We don’t know how long that girl has been a soul shifter because we didn’t see the process, however it’s possible that there’s still shifters inside the palace walls. Remember Jin Mu has a whole cult following him aside from the gaurds. Most of them are probably shifters from before

I remember the queen sending Jin mu a batch and we didn’t see Jin mu use them. Part 2 episode 1 when Uk killed the woman soul shifter at Jinyowon, He said ‘ You shifted a long time ago. The queen is still a shifter and she’s still here.

Before episode 18-19-20 Queen Shaman gave a new batch of ejectors to Jin Mu, also most of the soul shifters were probably from before staying calm not to run wild and they were probably just secretly feeding off other people’s energy not to run wild.
Jin Mu probably was controlling the girl at the banquet from behind closed doors.

It seems Naksu is dead once and for all and Cho Yeong gets to live. She’s no longer an assassin, even if she uses her sword to fight it shouldn’t be as an assassin because I’m really hoping Jin Mu her Master no longer has any thing left hidden to control her.

I Don’t accept her as UK’s mother in law, I’ll accept her help to protect Yeong but that’s as far as it goes for me as I will never see Naksu/Yeong aka Buyeon as her daughter because Buyeon’s soul is dead.😭

I love him too and I kind of see why he’s doing what he’s doing, it’s his lines I don’t understand as they come across quite contradictory at times, eg. T what he said to master Heo about erasing what was unnecessary, what does that mean? He said in episode 2 Buyeon’s soul was merely hanging on to Naksu’s energy, is he saying that He erased her soul from hanging on to Naksu? I know the original body belongs to Naksu but even to HoGeong he is calling Naksu her daughter which is not the case , if it is then what is the purpose of souls?

Just rewatched the teaser for next episode, I think he may realise when she does the hand Ring symbol and her words because she’s not holding the birds egg that she thought fed her those memories of the so called owner. Fingers crossed as if I’m right then he’ll probably take her to the tree to see what happens.
