I think both FL and SFL are have formidable intelligence, while one has a knack for investigation the other knows how to handle politics. Han Muzhi lack political flexibility which causes a lot of problems for him and will hinder his political tenure, SFL is a panacea to his situation. Similarly, FL is to stern and doesn't think out of the box (meaning creatively) while ML being an avid reader lacks intelligence but is too creative, plus FL's nature makes ML work harder for his own growth while ML's presence gives FL the warmth she lacked all her life. I think the writer made good matches although I still don't like the way FL and SML broke off (there should have been more convincing reasons for that).

Update from episode 16: it's over, everything that could happen has happened but the conclusion FL decided was SML. At this point,t I believe whatever the author does there is very little chance that FL and ML pairing will seem convincing if it were to happen in the future (if it will happen that is). Also, even if it does happen won't it be darn awkward for the ML to explain that he is marrying someone, who his former associate proposed in front of a lot of people in a desperate life-and-death situation while the girl in question seemed to reciprocate?

Well, episodes 12-13 made me see ML in a new light, I thought he was too innocent, but the way he reacted to FL's and SML's situation, encouraging him, scolding him, while also keeping himself within the boundary. Now he seems even more like a side character who gives up but helps the leads till the end😂. Although, his way of doing things is less refined his thoughts are pure and clear than everyone else.

I guess ML won't be getting the girl in this one (I am judging way too early), in episode 10, it's pretty clear FL and SML are a done deal while ML isn't even worth a supporting character in her life yet. But I liked how he doesn't give an F about her status, he is a good, naive, and sunshine type, but I guess that isn't FL's type in this one. If they are still going to get paired together I hope the author doesn't make it feel like she settled for him like it should seem natural, (I did like how they were together this whole time but considering how calmly she reacted and reasoned why him going away is a better off deal for both of them screams their care is not mutual in that way at all.)

One locks the other in the mortuary, while the other gives "the medicine" to take revenge😂😂. The way ML pretends to faint to avoid facing FL or the embarrassing situation reminds me of Princess Lin An from the Guardians of Dafeng.

ML is the only character who lightens up the mood of the drama the way he is a naive, bookworm-style innocent thinker, who is curious but also plays pranks while being humbled repeatedly by our FL. Them together is like watching a bad cop good cop pairing.

I am at episode 1, the moment 2ML gave FL a name, rang catastrophe-level alarms in my ears. That's not how you design a 2ML, that's something for ML or FL (if the roles were reversed in gender) to do. I can bet that people are going to be obsessed with the FL and 2ML pairing while despising ML because it seems he is going to play a dumb scholar or spoilt-child type character considering the type of misunderstanding between ML and FL.
although the cold character and naive sunshine-type couple pairing is my cup of tea I am good. I hope the writer doesn't take his naiveness or the misunderstandings (future ones included) too far, making him unlikable.

I hope they give us season 2 fast!!!! the whole ending seemed rushed meaning a lot will be explained in the season 2 or a lot will happen in it. It feels really bad that they all forgot about him but its obvious that the spell will either end giving all of them their memories back or our ML will remain in the real world instead where we will meet the FL and maybe the other people too (similar to how he meet her in the illusion). But 1 thing for sure is that we might not get most of our beloved cast in the S2 as the story will take place in another state. Hope we get a happy ending with all of them alive and well at the end.
Hope we get the S2 near the end of this year if the shooting is already over or else we might not get it for the next 2-3 years.

I watched the teasers, and finally, the scene where they start dating is here in episode 34😭. FL is so adamant about chasing after him in that scene. She is running, chasing. She clears out the boat and starts rowing towards him. While ML is freaking worried, drops the sails and jumps into the water trying to get to her. Oh man, I can't😭😭.

Oh man oh man, the illusory formation part was so good. It was maybe around 5 minutes long, but it made me feel all kinds of emotions, especially the part where ML gives up on his police academy dream to make money for his mother's hospital bills, and his dating era with FL was so well directed and the portrayals were so on point. It was as if I too was in the illusory formation because it felt like I had watched a whole drama in the span of 5 minutes. This episode gave me a fascinating new experience even though I have been watching dramas for years.

I won't be surprised if ML's sister ends up with the crown prince😂, can't even guess the match for his youngest sibling😂.

oh my god, our FL really is the most pampered one in the royal family😂😂. The way her sister made sure of her safety while our FL was on the run. I laughed so hard when Grand Princess's guard explained the whole trip and the way those soldiers rejoiced when FL finally reached her destination😂😂. Our cute little innocent FL should always be well-protected🙂‍↕️ good work guys.

(also, ML and his family (-1) moving to another house bought a package of disasters😂 first his brother, then his brother's love life, and now our princess😂)

The funeral part seemed unnecessary to me other than the fact that it felt so reassuring seeing how many people cared about the ML and to what extent they could go for him, maybe later down the plot, we will know this part's meaning (I hope so). We still don't know FL's reaction, maybe she didn't receive any news, considering she is on the run from the royal family while traveling to her heart's content she might not even be able to return (let's see how it goes).

The good times are now over, soon we will have only one episode a day😭😭 with 2 episodes once in a while. Why can't cdramas give us 2 episodes daily😭 why the wait!!!!!

this drama is superb, a gift for the farewell of 2024 and to welcome 2025. After watching Blossom, When the Phone Rings, and Story of the Pearl Girl, I thought about how long it takes for another good drama to show up. But it did and it did quickly. The first 4 episodes give a picture that it's a dark comedy with a lot of humor but is not restricted by it rather it also has fantasy elements, a mysterious plot, a power struggle, and a lot of fighting scenes. The portrayal is also good so far I liked all the characters, especially the moments where they switch from funny to their serious selves. Instead of feeling odd about it, the transitions in these moments felt natural. Although the pacing is all over the place maybe cause they want to end the intro part and move into the main story they also don't want any character to be left out. I am excited about when and how he will join the guardians and how he will meet the FL.

wait, so they have a patient with a bomb (12 minutes left) and somehow everyone is calm as hell. It felt like "oh, wait there is another one today. Gosh, let me handle it"🤣. Their expression or the tension (which wasn't built at all) didn't match with the dialogue at all, it made it all so bland. Hope the dramas become better moving forward.

It feels good to see that even though everyone had doubts about FL, ML was the only one who not even once considered the scenario where she could be the culprit. It gave off, "Even if the world stands against you I will gladly walk over to your side" vibes (although the situation wasn't that extreme but it just felt peaceful).

It was like she knew we have only 2 episodes left so she was like let's skip the drama for everyone's sake😂
