The worst scenario about starting to watch an ongoing series is that I most of the time get tired waiting for 1 episode each week. 7 years passed and I'm ready to start watching it again. I miss seeing my mother, Erika Sawajiri, in a drama.
The plot is just simple. But I'm amazed by how they discussed the word "normal." I get what the movie wants to convey and I agree with it. Do we really need to adapt to what the world believe is "normal" just because many people are acting like it?
I only watched it because of Kaya but I ended up so invested. She really is a versatile actress. Her character's personality is different from each role she take. She can be gloomy, naughty, cheerful, etc. That's why I'm always looking forward for her works.
But that love hotel scene of her and the author nearly gave me a heart attack! Swear, I will cry if something really happened.

I think it depends on the director, the actors, and the genre. I've been watching jdramas for a decade and I've got to know great actresses with great dramas. See the works of Kaya Kiyohara, Suzu Hirose, Yui Aragaki, and Nana Komatsu. There's still many but these 4 are my top favorite.
7.8 is not a bad rating imo? but its a show that keeps getting more and more interesting with every new episode…
I usually watch the drama if it has a 8+ mdl rating. Also the other dramas I love are rated 8+. But I guess I should lower my standard now. And Anti Hero is still ongoing so maybe it will change depending on the ending.

Sorry, I get it. It's not about them being teacher-student or him being younger. It's because he is 15 and considered a minor in the first half. Well, it's not okay for most of the viewers too. But I think the word pedophile is too heavy. Pedophilia is a sexual attraction towards a child and that's not really the case in the drama.
The teacher is still in the right mind. She admitted she's wrong. She distanced herself, started a new life in a different town, and she even found a new lover. The boy became 18 and found her. Later on, she distanced herself again. She just made a mistake but she repent from it over and over. It is also the boy who's being too assertive, not the teacher.
I trust jdrama. I know they will redeem the teacher from those mistakes that's why I continued watching.

They are just openminded because it happens in real life. That's the point of most of us here. It's not about being right or wrong, but being realistic. You can also judge me because I sometimes get attracted to men in 30s when I'm in 20s. But again, it happens in real life.
