just finished watching the drama. I thought it was pretty good though I still struggled to understand certain…
Yaun Tong didn't suddenly switch sides. He was always supporting the emperor. The emperor knew about the second prince's plan to rebel and overthrow him. He wanted to stop him but didn't want to confront him directly. That's why he, with the help of Yaun Tong, tried to stop him. It was all a plan. They fooled the second prince. Regarding Song Han, I believe that after discovering his involvement in his mother’s death, he became mentally ill. He began to experience hallucinations as well. Although he loved his brother, he constantly feared that his brother might kill him upon learning the truth. If you observe closely, there were moments when he lost control. He was unable to reason properly. Like his father, he believed that power was the only means to an end, which led him to ally with the second prince. For the second prince, Song Mo represented a threat. To demonstrate his loyalty, he felt compelled to harm his brother. The fear and seeking for power drove him to hate his brother and attempt to murder him. He had gone too far, leaving no path for retreat. Additionally, being an illegitimate child also contributed to his actions. Ansu loved Song Han, who constantly sought her sympathy and tried to manipulate her. He presented himself as weak to gain her trust and made her believe that Dou Zhao viewed her not as a best friend, but merely as someone who earns money for him. She was misled and influenced until she realized his true nature. This later motivated her to help Song Mo and Dou Zhao.

I get it. It happens to me as well. The only explanation that I have is maybe in the earlier episode, we really liked that dark vibe that it had. The leads are not too close and not too distant. The anxiety, the tension in between them. But after they get together there is a sudden change in their personality. Like from being cold to becoming a puppy in love. The tension is gone. They acting like a high schooler being in love for the first time. Being overly dramatic and lovey-dovey. The same thing happened to me when I was watching My Demon. For me, it became cringey at some point.
Although "naysayers" are blaming "Freedom of expression" used by other people to voice their opinion regarding…
absolutely agree. the series went down hill after ep8. the sexual tension that they had in the beginning of the eps was mellowed down. it became flat, esp with the argoan storyline. it felt like i was watching a different drama altogether. as someone who eagerly waited for it air, watched it ongoing, and had high expectations it was total disappointment.
I just watched ‘close to you’ song MV. Lee Min Ho is looking so good. now, I am in a dilemma whether to watch it because I’m not particularly interested in this storyline. after reading the Sinopsis, I didn’t find it appealing.
