On Every You, Every Me Nov 4, 2024
This series is honestly such a surprise. I started it thinking it's just going to be another pulp BL. But no! It's actually a true little gem. I like the concept of telling several different stories, that way there aren't any boring filler moments. And even though the characters are very different in each story, the actors are nailing it every time. Chemistry is off the charts too! This is probably going to be one of my favorite BLs this year :3

For once a series actually benefits from a shorter runtime. I remember that I skipped quite a bit of the Thai version, because some scenes were dragged out too much. I think I like this faster pace better

tbh don't understand why Korea-Japan-Thailand keep remaking each other work instead of creating new onesor at…
They've been doing it for decades, not just with BLs. Popular series tend to get adaptions in several countries, mostly Japan, Korea, Thailand and Taiwan. I'd say the most famous example is Hana Yori Dango/Boys before Flowers/F4. Hana Kimi and Itazura na Kiss got several adaptions as well. I guess if it's popular and guarantees some good income, the producers would rather create a remake than something new. Though a Thai original getting a new adaption in another country isn't as common, I think. It's usually the Japanese stories that are based on popular mangas that get the remake.

In short: It's a bit of a tradition for those countries, I suppose

from what i remember of ep 1, yes most of the episodes are on the same level as ep 1 - some worse. if youre into…
I like them as well, wich is why it's a bit unfortunate that the plot of this series doesn't really seem to be my thing. But what I think I'm going to do is: I'll wait till the series has finished and then watch only the plot lines that are good/important and maybe skip the rest

Slow burn is one of my least favorite kind of plots, I think I'm too impatient for itπŸ˜… I mainly watch BLs for the romance part (and the good old traumatized idiots who still make it work somehow).

Does the series remain on the same level as episode 1, or does it improve? Asking, because I'm kind of struggling to even finish the first episode. There are so many standard tropes in this one, that it's too easy to predict what's going to happen next. I'd watch it for good fighting scenes alone, but... Yin isn't Bruce Lee, that's for sure (he and the other's try, but eh... I'm a bit picky about my action/fighting scenes)

Just when I thought "I hope DoHoe's dad dies a lonely death" the guy really dies lol Deserved tbh. I don't understand why JuYeong kept in contact with him. Only explanation I can come up with is that he kept visiting the dad in the hopes to see DoHoe there or at least hear some news about him. But even so, after 12 years it's really time to move on from one's teenage years crush and to stop going after that one guy who managed to slip through your fingers. But I guess JuYeong likes to feel miserable...

As for DoHoe: Good for him that he got out of that shithole of a small town and away from his abusive father! Finally he is free :)

Thank the gods that those two boys picked up on the teacher's creepy vibes πŸ™ Hopefully this will be the last thing we saw of that guy. Kudos to the actor though, because that teacher really creeped me tf out πŸ’€

I have summoned myself, the Trauma Intensifier himself, to correct you on something: he didn't get his dick cut…
Oh! Somehow my brain refused to remember that it was bitten off and not simply cut off 😭

Damn Fuji-san is something else πŸ˜‚ Hope she'll find someone who doesn't puke while being with her (maybe that new girlfriend of hers?).

Anyway, I really love this series. There is a lot to unpack here, but I'm glad they added some funny scenes as well.

Some of the performances are questionable, the actor I'm enjoying the most is actually the mafia boss actress.
I'd let her step on me 😩

That was actually a cute little series with a good ending for all characters πŸ₯° I'm also glad they didn't drag it out and didn't turn it into a 12 episodes series. Lengthwise it's like a 10eps series, I'd say.

That teacher is so creepy. I love Futoshi πŸ’™
He's got serious nice guy energy. The way he keeps wanting to accompany Futoshi on his way home. At first I thought he just wants to make sure the bullied kid will get home safely, but after ep 2... Idk, Futoshi might end up dead in a ditch! I bet the teacher had to leave Tokyo, because he tried to have an affair with a student or something like that yuck

Damn, even though the episodes are relatively short, there is a ton to unpack here. There are so many ways how this story could go really dark really fast... We've got Mishima, who is a sweetheart, but unfortunately has got a big fat target sign on their back. Kirino who is the personification of self-hatred, Yumeno who might have a crush on Mishima and can't deal with it so he resorts to violence and that new teacher whose gaze is lingering a bit too long on Mishima if you ask me (creepy much? I bet he had to leave Tokyo because there was an incident with one of his students)... I just hope Mishima and his mom (love her! And she's a former Bosozoku, how cool is that?! :D) will be ok in the end.

I feel sorry for Diew. The poor boy got thoroughly traumatized by his asshole of an ex and his overbearing mother. I understand why he doesn't want to share anything too private with anyone. That can already be hard under normal circumstances, but in his case... I mean his mother alone gives him enough material for several years of therapy. On the other hand, if Diew wants to date God, he needs to learn to open up about these things. Otherwise the relationship can't work and it would be better for Diew to be a single turtle dad instead.
