I'm so excited for this! Huge LJW fan since AOS and this role seems so perfect for him. I swear no one does slow-burn emotions as good as him, and all the real locations filmed are going to make this an incredible experience! May 16 can't get here soon enough.

Also, people should seriously watch the trailer. It literally tells you that the ML and FL aren't related, but throughout they do develop a bond with each other coming to trust in one another. I don't think this will be full on romance. "Whether you are a fake or not, I hope you will no longer suffer."

This is really unnecessary. I loved S1 (other than the ending) and it was a complete story. What's the point of a season 2 for this when other dramas need it more like Vincenzo or Vagabond? SJK probably won't be coming back for this.

I love how this movie just put me 100% entirely in the director's mercy, with no idea where the story was taking me anymore, but my absolute faith in the storytelling and filmmaking made the journey well worthwhile.

uhhhhh hope there is no romance cause........
FL and LJW aren't related. He seems to be faking as her brother based on the trailer.

Wait and its not? 😂 or does half-sister means something different in Korea?
From the trailer, LJW is playing a fake Hong Rang. Him and the FL probably aren't actually related, which is why romance is a thing in this.

Can this old man retire already he is almost 50.
L opinion for so many reasons, but you clearly just aren't a fan of older actors from what I see in your absurdly lowest rated dramas and least liked tropes (bio). I find it pathetic you feel the need to seek attention by posting on a drama you won't even watch. You can be as narrow-minded as you want, but don't go around spreading that sickening mentality of yours where you can't even respect the hard work and talent that goes into people's craft just because of their age. I really feel sorry for you.

I was only able to finish this for Lee Jae Wook. He's as great as always (so is LJY), but the story, and especially the FL, bring it down after the great first 2 episodes. There is an unnecessary love triangle with zero chemistry, and the girl does not know how to act whatsoever, so every scene with her made me groan and fast forward. This is the first time a drama has completely failed to connect to me emotionally. This should have been more bromance, and they should have cut the FL completely. It would have been a lot better without everything that has to do with her. One of the worst FL actors I've seen in kdramas!

Really underrated. It's not like other sports dramas with a lot more fluff and positive growth. In this, you'll see people giving up on their dreams in heartbreaking moments because of injuries and their own choices, sports politics that affect the players' careers negatively, nepotism, betrayal, etc. I don't think there's any other sports drama that come close to portraying the technicalities of the sport itself, and the real struggles and angst of competitive sports. I agree the romantic relationships suck, but they are meant to drive character growth whether it's for the worse or the best. Xu Tan changes because he realizes there's no value or trust in relationships, while Yu Ke Nan becomes too involved with it that he neglects to focus on his career. I think it's a great drama with a lot of heart and real emotions behind it, but it does hurt to see how much Xu Tan gets tortured on his way to the top so I understand why so many people fail to enjoy it as much. Also, there's a deleted scene of the final episode that people should go watch as it's a really happy moment for Xu Tan and I don't know why it was deleted.

I think they tried to cover too much story in just one season. A season 3 would have been nice, but I doubt we'll get one since almost everything is resolved. Pacing was very rushed, but everything from the characters to the acting was as amazing as season 1, but the story was much better in Season 1. I can easily rewatch that compared to Season 2, which I most likely never will cause of the rushed buildup and going through the motions. Plus, the moments with Si-Eun monologuing his observations of his opponents and making plans was completely removed from this season, which I really missed.

Good drama, engaging storyline, beautiful OST, actually good acting, Hong sisters cooked. Horrible director though,…
Why is the director horrible?

Title Hidden Love
No you don't. I didn't like First Frost it was boring whereas Hidden Love is one of the best
Yeah, we did talk about preference anyways. I just meant that people tend to talk about how HL and FF are different enough, that you can watch one or the other without problems, even though they're in the same universe. People do compare them through their differences, but not through their similarities or by bringing one's quality down over the other which is fine. I've enjoyed both for different reasons.

Ah, as for why it's not on my list, I just tend to not track cdramas that I've watched on television as they aired. Most of them, I didn't pay complete attention or I don't know how to rate them anymore, so I plan to rewatch binge them some day and write proper reviews like I do for kdramas and the like.

Anyways, have a great day :)

I can't say much about how much attention it gathered, since in my experience, nobody pairs HL and FF together. They're treated as standalones across most of the places I have seen. Also your last comment is perplexing. I have watched Hidden Love though?

Damn the amount of praise and score of this, really high and one universe with hidden love which i like so i try…
It's a shame but I think this just wasn't for you. I normally hate FLs cause they're poorly written, but I found her very well-written in this. There's maybe only one time she actually runs away from a problem and that's when she is directly confronting the source of her PTSD and wanting to protect someone. She doesn't really run away any other times, and it's reasonable for her to cry when she needs to, as that's a good thing, rather than being cold-faced and emotionless at the start. She did leave the ML in the dark for a long time, but there are valid reasons behind it if you keep watching. I don't know if you finished or dropped it early.

Seems unnecessary. The chinese drama is too perfect that I doubt the movie will be as good as it. I'll keep expectations low for this.

First Frost is definitely not boring, but each to their own. HL and FF are very different types of romances so it's all up to preference. I prefer FF by far as I found HL is more romance than story, and I prefer the more mature healing romance and chemistry in FF.

This is now one of my all-time favourites. I could not stop watching after the first two episodes, and I love the portrayal of Wen Yifan's trauma all the way to the last episode. There are no dramas that portray trauma like hers so authentically without rushing to resolve it, and I love mature, slow-burning, and patient romances like this where the other person recognizes when they need to keep space. Sang Yan's everlasting love and patience for Wen Yifan stole me away, and I hope the ML and FL actors get awards, because their acting and chemistry are brilliant. I truly felt for these real-life-like characters that I grew to love and understand. The second ML and FL leads are also great, and I was actively surprised by how much I was invested in their story, too. Only thing I would slightly modify is the HK arc, but it was very much needed. The final episode left me really empty in the end, but there was no way to improve it as it's already perfect like all the puzzles fitting into place for a sendoff to the bright future. Overall 10/10

The Queen Dowager knows the king is just a clown standing in for the real king, yet she still wants to kill him…
I feel like I'm losing my mind replying to this. If you don't want to be using your brain to understand something, that's fine, but don't call it garbage cause it doesn't fit your preference. You have nothing worthwhile to discuss about, but yes that plot does make sense. Also no, it's never meant to show him as a good person, but it's a huge twist on his character. He's someone who does everything for the betterment of the country and his singular dream, whether it's betraying his own king and people. The real king didn't need bigger punishment, as he was literally forced onto drugs and haunted by ordering his brother's execution which is why he changed so much into a tyrant. He suffered his entire life for the things he did, and then he died in the arms of someone he considered akin to his father. I don't think you know what you're talking about, and I'm not even sure where you suddenly came from. I'm done wasting my time. Delete the spoilers in your comments or add a spoiler bar if you have any decency in you.

Very relaxing and wholesome! A little overrated, though. Lots of clichés and tropes to move romance and relationships forward, and it doesn't represent how badminton is in real life. I found the matches hard to watch because they were very rushed, repetitive, and poorly thought out, with the same smash wins. That being said, this really represents what youth is like. I love the developments that all the children and adults go through. I found it refreshing to see a show about youth touch on how manipulative and vile adults can be in the real world. It's great to see a drama that lets teens be teens. The actors are all brilliant and perfectly cast.

What's even your point?? The answers to most of your questions are obvious if you actually cared to pay attention to what was going on. You turned off your brain too much while watching or you don't have one in the first place, considering you don't even seem to even understand the basic character motivations.
