I wish HJE would return to her roots and go back to more serious dramas like Secret or KMHE. Still her best role for me is in Secret...she was so perfect in it. It's a shame to see she stopped taking on good projects and her acting became really overexaggerated and comical. NKM is the only reason I was able to finish this. He's as good as always
Hes become the king of fake tears. If you watch his press conference, none of the reporters were allowed to ask questions, only to report and observe. He intentionally ignored the question one of the reporters asked even though it can be heard. Thankfully, his acting is being called out by everyone. I can't believe people are defending someone like this.
This drama is one of a kind, dark melodramatic tragedy. The misfortunes that happen to the FL in the beginning are not for those who are too faint-hearted, as some moments made me question the writer's sanity. But, once you can get through those, it becomes much better as the hatred the ML has for the FL dies down more as he finds out the truth, and gradually his obsession and hatred for her (his reason to live) become worry which leads him to fall in love with her deeply eventually. Both their character arcs are just excellent, as cold-hearted JS learns to open up his heart, and the overly kind HJE learns to become more selfish. So many moments made me cry, while others made me laugh. I loved the plot and secondary characters too. JS and HJE have much better chemistry here than even Kill me Heal me, and the acting is just so perfect from both of them. Both of them kill their roles here with stand-out performances compared to KMHE which didn't give enough room to either of them. JS's character is really easy to hate but he plays it so well to show off his vulnerabilities and emotions that you find yourself thinking about whether you would ever be able to go this far to repent your sins. If you watch this, you will surely get wrapped up in this disturbing little world of theirs like I did.
8.5/10 This needs to be rated higher! Must watch! Only problem is that it's 16 episodes so it feels dragged out near the end, but it's a perfect romance that addresses how relationships are a two-way street. The ML and FL are perfect with their chemistry and acting, and same goes for the secondary characters. This drama starts off not too well, but it becomes amazing after you get through the first couple episodes. The second half was my favourite part! Super relatable characters that grow to understand and truly make amends with each other. The OST, acting, comedic scenes, and friendships are just perfectly cast and written. There is a slight love triangle too, but it doesn't last long.
Also you might hate the wife in the beginning, but remember we look at things from Joo Hyuk's POV. This is largely about his character development, although the wife does get her own. You'll later find that there were a lot more reasons to why the wife had so many anger outbursts than were revealed at the start, since Joo Hyuk didn't really pay attention, and acted more self-centered in their marriage.
just starting, this wife is ridiculous. I guess that leaves plenty room for character development

Not overrated in the slightest. It does slow down in the last quarter as 20 episodes was too much. 16 episodes would have been perfect, but nevertheless, it's a straight up Oscar worthy performance from Ji Sung. He brought every personality to life seamlessly, and there were many subtle moments where I could always tell which personality was out even when it wasn't clear just through his eyes and body language. I found myself fall in love with every one of his personalities who are very well written to have specific purposes for specific reasons, and his chemistry with Jung Eum is amazing. Seo Joon and her acting is very much on par with Ji Sung when it needs to be in the most emotional and heartbreaking moments. The couple scenes had me smiling wide, just cause they're such a perfect pairing, when it comes to their acting, backstories, and just their screen presence alone. This is perfectly highly rated, and I am so glad I watched this! I didn't expect to be as serious of a story as it is, based on the comedy scenes in the trailer. I will also never get over the OST.
I am so glad there's no two guys fighting over the FL which is what I felt was hinted at in the beginning with Dr. Lee. Zero love drama. It's just so nice to see such a nice and slowburn romance between a ML and FL with top chemistry. Both get development and learn to support and care for each other before anything really sparks, but man, the teasing is wonderful from the ethereal scenery to the incredible amount of tension their interactions bring. This drama has a very sad main plot and some equally sad cases, but provides a happy ending (albeit rushed timeskip), and provides one of the most comforting feelings to me. It's a must watch. Ji Sung is at the top of his acting, and I found LSY a perfect match for him in her role. The secondary characters are also perfect with brief setbacks of their own, but they get their own developments throughout without hindering the main plot. Overall, cast writing is one of the best. There is also perfect pacing and the great OST made me emotional in moments. The twists hit very hard. I only didn't like one part of the last episode about the whole unnecessary "stalking" thing. Everything else was perfect for me.
This really needed more episodes or maybe a season 2. Incredible drama in all aspects but ending felt very rushed and left me disappointed cause there was so much more to the characters and plot that could have been covered more extensively. FL got done really dirty
I'm thinking about to watch this drama, but I'm not sure yet.Can someone please let me know, what this drama is…
Yes, it's now one of my favourite dramas of all time. Synopsis makes it pretty clear what it's about. Just watch the first episode and decide if its for you.
One of my fav Ji Sung works. This is an absolute must-watch for his acting alone. He truly comes across as a man who has lost everything, becoming desperate and delusional for justice wherein he becomes a true fighter by the end of the show and returned to his former sharpness as a prosecutor. The payoff is just so perfect, and everything about the final episode feels well planned. I don't think 18 episodes is that much. I thought the pacing was well done and every episode had me hooked onto the next. Some plotholes, but the mind games and plot twists more than make up for it. Ji Sung and Ki Joon have one of the best dynamics I've seen in a thriller as well, and I love how well they are written and portrayed as enemies. Both of them are toyed with and manipulated through their vulnerabilities, as one who has received enough love for a lifetime, while the other is someone who has always been seeking it. Ki Joon plays his double roles to the fullest, and I was immensely entertained until the very end. It was refreshing to see a more unpredictable thriller, and to see the villains developed more to be something more than just human scum as there were moments for the villains where I also felt some level of pity. All the actors were brilliant, especially the child actor who gave one of the best realistic performances I have seen in dramas so far. The direction was superb, and I will never forget how insanely good the OST for this is in hyping up the big moments, and leaving you in serious suspense.
Can't wait for S2. Huge plot twist at the end of episode 6 just flipped the entire script on it's head and it's way more interesting now to see how it moves forward.
I loved it! It's a great feel-good comedy with a surprising amount of character development for everyone and moments that had me laughing out loud from episode 1. The story gets much better as it develops, especially in episodes 3 and 4. They wrote the plot and comedic beats very carefully, and this is easily another of NGM's best roles of all time. I came for NGM but LJH's acting also had me hooked. Their bromance is great in the latter half. The entire BO team is a delight to watch, and they perfectly capture the funny office vibe of this drama. Furthermore, OST is perfect and the scene drawings at the end of the episodes always had me wanting more and anticipating the next episode. This has been made with a lot of heart and passion to it.
Wish we could have Season 2. It started very strong, had some incredible moments (especially the fantastic choreographed fight scenes), and huge chemistry between the cast. The pacing is very good from the start, and each episode keeps you glued to the screen. I found the villains especially well-written (Chief Gu and Killer were brilliant), and Namkoong Min's acting is amazing as always, making this maybe one of his favourite roles for me now. The rest of the actors are very well cast too and I found it flawless. There are slight hints of romance which I wish could have been developed, as I really liked ML and FL's pairing and interactions. Comedic moments also made me laugh in-between very serious moments and I was glad they were there as this story gets really heavy at times with all the cruel setbacks the ML faces. Lots of twists and turns, mind-blowing schemes and manipulation, etc. This definitely had lots of potential if it had been with better writers who weren't as greedy with the story, but I still enjoyed the hell out of it. 8.5/10
