I find the synopsis intriguing and cast looks great I'm not familiar with FL but she has such a cute look. I'm waiting for this drama and sattt.

This is the second drama I've seen with Meng Zi Yi as FL and I find that her acting never lands with me. I did like her as a supporting character but this drama is just not my cup of tea either. I'm glad to check it as completed.

I came back to rewatch this drama and I really think this drama is good It's not a drama you really watch for romance(I do like it though) but a human drama. I have to give credit to the actors who play the villains they did a great job I genuinely hate these people and I don't often feel visceral disgust over fictional characters (since they don't exist) as much as these villians (because they just feel so real to life it's actually scary).

The ML is good and the FL is very beautiful. I wished her character could have been more proactive but nonetheless she was likeable. I found the premise unique and very interesting. The first 13 episodes were great I was hooked. The last episodes were the weakest where the logic was iffy. The scenes got repetitive and confusing. I would give it a 9/10 because how good the first/middle episodes were I just wished it had kept the momentum because it would have been a perfect 10/10 for me.

The styling looks so good though it fits the character and she's so pretty she can pull it of here.

Started strong then settled into a frustrating slow pace sometimes. The leads are good actors but I concur with those that say the chemistry is non-existent (so the romance lacked for me). The story was engaging but overall I wish for better execution. I'm very glad I watched it but let's just say it won't be a fav of mine.

I have not been excited for any drama before it aired since LITC was announced ( I was counting down the days back then) and I absolutely loved Esther in LBFAD (it is one of my top all time fav dramas) I care nothing for his drama airing right now but I will be there for this drama. I saw some bts and she looks like a beautiful mermaid princess ( love the river spirit role they are giving her) and Neo looks good too. Anyway I'm so sat for thissss. I feel like they will have so much chemistry between them I'm so readyyy.

Yes I agree with " I hope it's not normalised, afterall, even if this is a drama, we the watchers are real people living in society and we would hope that minors are protected" especially.

I'm one of those people skipping out on this drama. It's honestly sad that the show is actually turning out to be good (from what you said) because there is no way I could now watch this and ignore the fact that I know now she is 17 and he is 28. It is chilling that I saw both those dramas and she was giving romance (I assume with older men). I don't understand why that is ok in China and what's going on there (if I had known her age I would have felt the same way I do now). I'm no hater and I respect people have a right to choose if they will watch or not but I don't care how good it is I know I will get the ick knowing that the FL is not even 18. I feel bad for the cast and I strongly condemn the people responsible for this choice nonetheless. I just wanted to say we are not all haters but some of us don't want this type of casting choices to become the norm.

You are right I had a similiar thought watching it became the theme each episode.

It's been a while since I've seen a bl drama. I'm going to start of by saying that is not a flawless drama but that said I liked Love Of Silom enough to invest time and finish it. I'll start with the pros (from my pov) I do like the couple of Krit and Wayu, and I think they have chemistry. The acting from the leads is good. The soundtrack is good. The sets and lighting is good. The shots look pretty. I think the cons (from my pov) come from the writing choices made towards the latter half. I won't spoil much but let's just say I thought they could have focused more on Krit and Wayu (ultimately their situations and their relationship) instead of side stuff no one really cares about. Regardless I still enjoyed the last episodes when the focus was put again on Krit and Wayu and their situation. I liked My Stand In more (because it was more cohesive in terms of tone and writing) but Love of Silom made me avidly root for Krit and Wayu to be together. It fully delivered for me on romance which is something My Stand In due to it's nature didn't as much. I'm glad I decided to watch due to liking My Stand In so much (even though it's different). I give this a 8.5/10 really enjoyable viewing experience I wish it had done some things differently but still good.

I'm dropping this show might come back to it later but I just don't have the patience nowadays to force myself to watch dramas that don't hook me in especially dramas this long. The FL is beautiful but her acting does not convince me here. I know she's supposed to be strong and calculating but you can still play that without being wooden. The lines get repetitive. The chemistry is not amazing it's just ok I think she had more in Blossom. I think this is not an awful show but it's just bland I feel kind of bored watching it. The ML is bland I think the sml overshadows him. The way the drama is cut sometimes also feels a little choppy.

You sound so narcissistic and deluded (the fact that you think your rant/comment is in your words a gift to the Community and you're their mouthpiece like who are you? and I'm assuming you are not even part of the Community so to say you speak for them...). You compare heterosexual dramas to Bl by saying there is no explicit scenes in straight dramas. The ones that air on cable are censored but straight dramas have sex in them and extreme violence and gore. Why are you ok with one and not the other. Why can straight people have variety but not bl. You also say BL Dramas should represent healthy relationships not toxic but straight dramas represent all types of relationships and that is not a problem so why is it when it's BL. You ever seen Lighter Princess (red flag ml) or Boys over flowers (red flag ml) or Fated Hearts (leads use violence against eachother). Sure there are cute fluffy dramas but as far as I know Korean Men and the Male Leads in Kdramas are not the same. What I mean is you sound like those girls that assume because they see a drama of a charming Korean Male Lead with ideal romance the reality must be that and try to go hunt down a Korean Boyfriend (only to find out that's not the case) because like you they cannot tell FICTION AND REALITY APART.
How dare you try to say what BL fans (which I'm a casual viewer but your comment piss me off) what they should want in their entertainment. That's very presumptuous of you. If they want a sex scene or a gory scene they are in their complete right to consume it as long as they are aware of what they consume, and they do it responsibly.
Lastly even I as a casual viewer of BL can see that there are different types of BLs and guess what I do when I see one I don't like? I stop watching and go look for one that suits my taste. You deserve the backlash you are getting.

Only saving grace for me was the casting I don't know the story just didn't convince me.

I want to say some really mean stuff but I'll just say that if AI replaces an actor's job (or any) should be his first because this isn't that Humans think they are exceptional on the contrary Humans are trying to preserve art as our form of expression that holds soul (and most importantly keep jobs to survive and preserve the environment). He just seems so passive about it I will definitely not be watching any future works with him in.

I didn't like it the leads are beautiful appearence wise but the script lacked to me (they could have done so much with this premise with the story) but I should have dropped it earlier on. Maybe I when in with too high expectations based on the first episodes. I didn't like the build-up and the ending we got but anyway for some it was a hit for me a miss.

I know right I don't know either what's happening but she's like 17 that's too young in my opinion to be paired up with who's 28 like Neo or 30 like ARP. I'm glad to hear that I'd be up for him working with them but actually now that you mention Bai Lu I really did like them in Moonlight Mystique if they decide to have them work together again I'd be up for that lol. I hope he gets a good script with an actress that's more age appropriate for him and a good choice.
