Did we watch the same drama sorry ? The ML was her partner who left her thinking it would save her from the trouble…
I actually agree with all your sentiments. I think drama kinda skimped on building their relationship before the love trial/feud. Like I'm told that they've been together since time immortal, fell in love in the most ultimate form of opposites attract to shake the heavens, loved each other for so many centuries that they decided to endure a love trial together to strengthen their bond and abilities as a couple, but never once did I personally feel that way. Maybe that was the point. That they were never mutually in love before their love trial (since HRY had to be convinced multiple times that BJS truly did love her) and BJS one-sided love that HRY blissfully enjoyed without any shred of consequence finally caught up with her, resulting in 10 years of Mortal Suffering.
Personally, I wanted better for BJS by the end. I felt sorry for everything HRY went through- no parent should watch their child die, but at the same time, you'd think a millennia of knowing someone, she would have known that BJS's love language is acts of service, that he has difficulty expressing his emotions as a several thousand year old god who's role is to bring balance to the world, protect the stele and remain impartial, that he's a poor communicator etc. It says a lot when a bond that long and supposedly powerful gets shattered in 10 short mortal years, with some shadowy backhanded manipulation.
But BJS never gave up on her, never gave up on trying to understand her perspective. She paid him back 20 fold by the end, and yet he never turned to vengeance or outright violence against her. He wanted to give his wife a chance to explain herself, something HRY had never given him. He is already a bigger man and better partner than her. I have never looked at simp in such a negative light before...
And the fact that she had to be told again and again he loved her after she literally saw the pain and desperation on his face for centuries is wild to me. Like woman, get your glasses checked. And before anyone says: but he never properly expressed himself, but all the suffering she went through in the human realm blah blah once again, it makes no logical sense that all the years she's known him meant nothing (unless she's extremely stupid and unobservant) AND WOMAN JUST ASK. YOUR HUSBAND HAS ASKED SO MANY TIMES. IF YOU JUST SAID: HI I'M HERE TO KILL YOU BECAUSE YOU KILLED OUR SON, PROBLEM SOLVED.
I get that the drama doesn't exist without this feud, but at the same time, you can't drag me through 32 episodes and expect me to throw logic out the window and just accept and support that such a dysfunctional couple should be together after all that. It would've been more believable if she had acknowledged she never truly loved him to begin with, found out the truth, apologized, and said: We can be friends.
At a certain point, if there hadn't been a couple of nice plot twists, I would've been bored out of my mind with the same repetitive HRY tricks BJS, BJS spits up blood and asks her what he did wrong, HRY refuses to explain and continues to let him play home detective until his primordial core is so damaged her reverts to a child...
I'm happy if BJS is happy. But I wanted to tell both of them to fly a kite by the end. They need to put themselves back on the immortal dating market.
100% agree with your sentiments above...Like did she really think after killing an all powerful, immortal drought dragon that her only punishment would be 10 years, powerless in the immortal realm? Humans go through that shit every day hahaha
She should go to medical school- I've got plenty of suffering to show her rn hahaha
The novel kinda shaping up to be different though. So I started reading the book at the point of the most recent…
Omg ikr ! The saddest part of the drama was hearing that Kla’s only wish is for Tong to be happy, healthy, and have a loved one… and what about you? Your only wish is to win one basketball championship? 😭
I agree. I think it’s too early to tell if Kla is officially dead DEAD. As someone who just spent the evening reading the novel to see if Kla comes back, I can assure you the book is very different. In the book, Mark and Tong are making out when Tong gets a phone call that Kla has overdosed. His body was found next to drugs and is currently being autopsied. He stays dead in the novel, so there is a possibility that the overall outline of the novel stays the same, but I was in shock reading the differences.
Do book readers know if Tonkla somehow survives or is book quite different to series
The novel kinda shaping up to be different though. So I started reading the book at the point of the most recent episode to see if Tonkla comes back, but everything in the book has been different so far. Like the general story beats are the same, but how they happen is very different. For example, before Kla dies, Tong was told that the Golden Blood would kill him at 21, and he has a fight with Mark about whether he knew this or not. Mark does know this, upsetting Tong. So instead of having a fight about whether Mark is using his blood for good reasons, Tong fights with Mark for hiding the truth about his Golden Blood- maybe this will still happen, and everything is arranged differently in the book though. And then Tong gets drunk and decides he was going to loose his virginity so his blood wouldn’t be pure and maybe he’d live longer. He and Mark kiss passionately. And then he gets a phone call that Kla died from an overdose. He is told Kla’s dead body was found next to drugs and he is currently being autopsied (there is more behind this, but so far, this is what Tong knows). There’s no mention about Tong’s blood being made into a special perfume antidote either. So far none of this has happened in the show. Mark and Tong are in a relationship. Tong has DEFINITELY lost his virginity to Mark. They haven’t had this discussion about his 21st birthday being his death day. And Kla definitely doesn’t just “overdose”. We saw the poor boy get skewered 🥲 So I don’t know if Kla is dead for good. So much is different in the novel that it’s hard to be 100% sure where this story goes from here on out. Maybe the result will be the same, but the journey there is DEFINITELY different.
First 10 mins in and I’m not opposed, but I AM very confused 😵💫 Who are these characters, how do they know each other? Is public jacking off just a regular lunch break for the Dude 1? Is Dude 2 breaking in to rob Dude 1 only to get robbed of his virginity? Dude 2 has a “girlfriend”? Is the bridge really more secluded than the fountain? So many questions and I don’t even know the characters names yet 😆
Were some scenes from Ep. 1-8 released on wowow cut from the original Youku Ep. 1-8, or am I just misremembering? I admit it's been a minute since I saw the first 8 episodes on Youku...

From what I can gather online:-- March 7th: Drama premieres in Japan (Ep 1)- April 4th*: Expected release date…
That’s so exciting! The show ended right as they brought in the suspected culprit… I even read the books because I thought they’d never drop the remaining episodes. I’m so pleasantly surprised!
So March 7th is the date it’s released in Japan? But April 3rd is the date that the 9th episode is released in Japan? I’m confused by the two dates; someone please break it down like I’m a kindergartener 😂
Outside of the fact that that was one of the most traumatic parent reactions I've seen in recent BLs, my first thought was: how is Shen Nan getting water/food? There's bars on the window and no gap in the door. Unless the father went through psychopathic levels to keep him in there, like sneaking in at odd times and making random schedules to prevent Shen Nan from rushing and over powering him, I saw no food in that room... I don't know why I'm even fixated on this...😅
I feel so sorry for the ML…every episode is just him being raked across the coals by the FL. I kinda don’t want him and the FL to end up together… Atp, I either wish he would tell her about his condition. Or he dies in her arms so she can realize that her revenge has blinded her from realizing what’s really important. Their love for each other. Then she’ll know all this lying was futile and she should’ve just enjoyed their reunion and the brief time they have together…and then she has to spend the rest of her life living in regret.
Wow! This is definitely going on my watch list! I’m excited to see Pond in another BL so soon! But… that hair cut is… really something… it’s unflattering, startling, fake looking, shaggy, and at some angles, pretty? I’ve never been so confused by a hair cut before 😅
Lmaooo 10 ft tall; so real tho! Shaopeng said he was deaf and mute in Ep. 5 :)
EP. 5 Timestamp: 13:00 minutes And I quote (WeTV): Don't worry. I won’t tell Cheng Fengjie anything. I’m deaf and mute. Gaga/IQIYI: I can't hear and I can't speak. Idk what else to tell you. Other than that he's NEVER said I'm NOT mute.
