eh...tell me about that, but we decided it was actually him
Now I just have to win the lottery and produce this⦠honestly, when they were alive, I didnāt much like the second pairing⦠after they died, I realized they brought the spice and excitement to show š Really wish we could see more of those charactersā¦
eh...tell me about that, but we decided it was actually him
Honestly, the that might be his best option. Maybe they just wander around the jianghu, protecting the innocent and repaying for the bad karma in their first 2 lives. Both of them are pretty competent fighters. They drink wine, wander, wax poetry beneath blossoms, and exploring the world and vibing. Maybe we petition for special episodes haha
eh...tell me about that, but we decided it was actually him
Do you write? Because I would honestly read Yin Zhouās second chance, in which he leaves Yin Qi and Pei Yanzhi tf alone, tells his mom to take a hike, cleans up his uncleās fraction himself, romances his soul mate, and becomes the Crown Prince he was destined to be if only he hadnāt been so blinded by spite and power. (And maybe he succeeds in killing dad, because he was the true villain of the show lol)
eh...tell me about that, but we decided it was actually him
Yeah, rebirth is definitely looser in period dramas now, whereas transmigration is still strict. So dramas like Si Jin, The Legend of the Female General, The Princess Royal, etc. fly now, but unfortunately, The Double aired before that took effect...oh well⦠I wish we could get full transmigration long form dramas, but Iāll settle for dramas like Romance on the Farm or Love Game in Eastern Fantasy has to be explained away as a dream, video game, for now.
I would also be down for Yin Zhou to get a second chance too! Couldnāt Yin Qi have let him borrow the wolfās fang haha
eh...tell me about that, but we decided it was actually him
Ruyi is the best. The perfect combination of qualified and deadly, kind and juducious, but also innocent and awkward. They stayed equal till the end! Jiang Li definitely got the short end of the stick, but I think the dad finally understood his wrongs and lived with them till the day he died from the guilt. Since we donāt know for sure if thereās an afterlife, I think thatās the best we can hope for šI think after they caught the stepmom, the drama really started unraveling, but it made it up for me when Xue Fangfei confronted her ex-husband. But what happened with Jiang Li is I think thatās why I prefer rebirth dramas, like the Blossom, but I understand The Double was created during that weird rebirth censorship phaseā¦
eh...tell me about that, but we decided it was actually him
Omg! I didnāt notice Ruyi there; sheās so OP haha Honestly, idgaf. Iām going to live in illusion that Ruyi and Yuanzhou survive because theyāre too badass to die and really do have 2 kids in the mountains⦠Yeah, at some point, I honestly stopped crying because I was too emotionally numb from it all. Or The Double? That open ending made me want to tear my hair out!
eh...tell me about that, but we decided it was actually him
I love that drama. I was just rewatching it! I think Iām still traumatized by A Journey to Love. They make you believe the main couple is alive, but then it turns out the final surviving character was just experiencing a mirage while dyingā¦that was just cruel of the writersā¦
šššMy brain immediatly looked for clues, like Aunt Lin wasnt around and the other girl was running the…
Omg same! Iām legit so traumatized š«Cdramas were cheaper than therapy⦠now theyāre a cause to go to therapy lol The time skip + the streets were totally empty set off my alarm bells. Thereās always a time skip, a series of flashbacks, looking out over a familiar scenery, amid falling blossoms and/or snow⦠it was perfectly set up to leave Pei Yanzhiās fate in Japan open ended⦠but Iāve decided the reactions are too legit to be a dream lol (gotta keep telling myself that haha)
I hate that I've watched so many Chinese dramas that my first thought when Pei Yanzhi showed up at the bridge was: Is Yin Qi experiencing an illusion? After watching the ending twice, I choose to believe that they're reunited and he was cured of his illness and Yin Qi was surprised and crying tears of joy. But I genuinely hate that my mind is trained by the trauma of watching Cdrama open endings to assume the worst...
Ahahaha I just read your comment by chance ! I loved your second sentence ! š
Hahaha thanks! I just caught up to Ep. 7 and it struck me that Pei Yanzhi and Yin Qi mustāve been so dumb in their first lives to get fooled. Itās only because Yin Qi literally already lived through this that they could finally win⦠but now Iām getting worried because Yin Qiās not smarter, just more experienced. And now that heās outlived the past time line, how is he going to navigate this new future and will he spot Pei Yanzhiās noble sacrifice BS in time before itās too late š„
I've been binging the show and I'm finally at Ep. 5 now I understand why Pei Yanzhi's plan blew up in their faces... it kinda sucks š Like yes, Yanzhi... let's help join two slimy, powerful, conniving mass murderers who thirst for power and both your and Yin Qi's heads on a silver platter and hope that they'll spare y'all and the emperor and not stab y'all all in the back... I finally understand what his servant meant when he said his love for Yin Qi makes him stupid... But the Ep.5 finale makes it all worth it š¤

EXACTLY š I was literally crying for Wayu, my boy had been thru a lot already in his personal life, but a disgusting…
Fr š He is the strongest one š When I was his age, I was stressed over what the uni cafeteria was serving that day... When Wayu was kiss-distracting Ice after being kidnapped for the nth time, I literally had a movie reel flashback of all the times Wayu had been sexually harassed and/or assaulted, drugged, etc. Job or not, he's just a college student trying to support his family. Yes, and in the next lifetime too! I need him to have that happy ending or I'm going to riot!!!
Really wish we could see more of those charactersā¦
