No wonder Barth is so quiet, guarded, and distant. Some wounds are too deep for words.
He grew up watching his mother suffer at the hands of his father. While other children grew up surrounded by love and warmth, Barth grew up witnessing violence, fear, and pain. The person who should have taught him what love looked like instead showed him cruelty.
Then came the night that changed everything.
His homophobic father discovered that he was gay and turned his hatred toward his own son. Faced with the impossible choice between protecting her child or remaining silent, Barth's mother chose her son.
She struck her husband to save Barth.
But years of fear, anger, and suffering had built up inside her. It wasn't just one blow. It was the release of years of pain, years of abuse, years of helplessness.
In a single night, Barth lost both of his parents.
His father died.
His mother went to prison.
No child should ever have to witness something like that.
As if fate hadn't been cruel enough, Barth returned to a world that offered him little comfort. He was bullied by his classmates simply for being gay. Everywhere he turned, he was met with judgment, rejection, and loneliness.
That is why Tanrak means so much to him.
Tanrak isn't just someone he likes.
Tanrak is the light at the end of a very long tunnel.
When Barth said that without Tanrak he would be lonely, those words carried far more weight than people realize. They weren't simply words of affection. They came from someone who had lost everything. After losing both parents, Tanrak became the one person who stayed by his side.
The one person who made the darkness feel a little less overwhelming.
The one person who reminded him that he deserved love.
That is what makes the waterfall scene so beautiful.
The waterfall itself feels symbolic. For years, Barth carried pain, grief, and loneliness in silence. Yet beneath the rushing water, surrounded by nature's beauty, it was as if all that weight finally began to wash away.
The scenery was breathtaking, but what made the scene unforgettable was the emotion behind it.
For one brief moment, Barth wasn't the boy haunted by his past. He wasn't the child who lost both parents. He wasn't the victim of bullying or rejection.
He was simply someone being loved.
The kiss beneath the waterfall felt like more than a romantic moment. It felt like healing. Like hope. Like a promise that despite everything he had endured, happiness was still possible.
After years of storms, Barth finally found a place where he could rest.
And standing beside him was Tanrak, the light that guided him out of the darkness.
Sorry for the long post. I love writing and poetry, so once I start analyzing characters and scenes, I can go on and on. But Episode 4 really touched me.
They have improved so much since High School Musical. It doesn't feel like a GMMTV series at all.
My only complaint is that there are only 6 episodes, and we are already halfway through. I am not into God or religion, but this series is amazing so far. Fourth and Gemini are absolutely nailing it.

Sorry for the long post. I love writing and poetry, so once I start analyzing characters and scenes, I can go on and on. But Episode 4 really touched me.
The later posts didn’t have spoiler tags because they weren’t spoilers and I’m not going to edit or change anything.
I said I think Jay is Director Arthur. That’s just my guess. It hasn’t been confirmed, and I could be completely wrong. How is that a spoiler when it’s only my opinion?
I also think Jay might find out Sun’s identity when the tattoo is revealed. Again, that’s just my prediction. I’ve never read the novel, so I’m only making assumptions.
Those are predictions, not spoilers. If you don’t like reading theories or speculation, then don’t come into the discussion threads. We’re here to talk about the show, share our thoughts, and make guesses, not talk about the weather.
Right now, Jay seems to think Sun is different and cute. The cheek kiss felt playful and affectionate rather than romantic. I kiss my friends on the cheek all the time, so I didn't see it as a big deal.
But once Jay discovers that Sun is actually the guy he had a one-night stand with five years ago, I don't think it'll stay at innocent cheek kisses anymore. His feelings and reactions will probably become much more intense.
My theory is that Jay will recognize Sun as soon as he sees the tattoo. The tattoo feels like the biggest clue connecting their past, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's the moment everything finally clicks for him.
By that logic, thousands of comments in this section would also have to be hidden as spoilers because people constantly ask questions, discuss scenes, and talk about plot points.
A discussion thread exists so viewers can share their thoughts, interpretations, and questions about the show. Simply asking for clarification or discussing an episode shouldn't automatically be treated as a spoiler.
I’m hoping Jay arrives in time to help, or that Sun finds a way to get himself out of the situation safely. I hope Sun does not do it even though he has a gun pointed to his head. Will be more satisfying if he grab a knife and cut that fat guy's dick off to teach him a lesson.
Imagine you're in class, bored, and you daydream that you got murdered. It's just a thought in your head. It isn't real, and it never actually happened. Because if it did then you will be dead.
That's the same logic as Episode 3 and Episode 4. I saw so many comments saying the scene was forced and non-consensual, and because of that they dropped the show or lowered their ratings. But Episode 4 reveals that the forced kiss was only Sun's imagination. It never actually happened.
Going back to the murder example, imagining that you were murdered doesn't mean it happened. In the same way, the forced kiss was part of a character's imagination, not a real event within the story.
People judged too quickly.
But even if it is not Sun's imagination and it is real, watching dark or controversial content does not mean you support it. Nobody watches a serial killer movie and thinks, "Wow, I want to do that."
Fiction allows us to confront uncomfortable truths. It explores trauma, redemption, and the darkest parts of humanity, not to glorify them, but to understand their impact. That's what storytelling does. It creates tension, challenges our empathy, and reflects the worst aspects of society so we can examine them.
If we only consumed stories with perfect morals and flawless characters, we'd lose works like Breaking Bad, Dexter, Joker, The Godfather, and Scarface. Entire genres would disappear.
So no, watching a rape scene does not mean someone supports rape. Watching a forced kiss scene in episode 3 and 4 does not mean they're normalizing it. Watching a story that includes abuse does not mean they support abuse.
It simply means they understand the difference between fiction and reality, something that some people in these comments seem unable to grasp.
Millions of people watch Game of Thrones, and The Handmaid's Tale, all of which contain murder, rape, assault, and other disturbing acts. Does that mean all those viewers support those actions? Of course not.
If you can’t separate storytelling from real life, that’s a you problem, not this show problem.

The kissing scene really surprised me. I couldn’t believe it turned out to be Sun’s imagination and not something that actually happened. When they finally share a real kiss, I think it’s going to be a very powerful moment.
The ending was difficult to watch, especially when that man pressured Sun into doing something sexual. I know situations like this can happen in real life, but I really hope Sun doesn’t give in. It’s a clear abuse of power and a form of sexual coercion.
I’m hoping Jay arrives in time to help, or that Sun finds a way to get himself out of the situation safely. I hope Sun does not do it even though he has a gun pointed to his head. Will be more satisfying if he grab a knife and cut that fat guy's dick off to teach him a lesson.
I’m not saying people should never watch through unofficial sources. I’m saying they should try to watch through legal platforms first whenever possible.
I understand that some people are students or unemployed and simply can’t afford multiple streaming subscriptions. That’s completely understandable. But if you do end up watching through unofficial sources, please don’t promote or share illegal streaming websites.
If everyone had the mindset that it’s fine to pirate everything without ever trying to support the official release, we would end up with fewer shows because the industry, the actors, and the production teams wouldn’t receive the support they need.
Many GMMTV BL series are completely free on their official YouTube channel. A lot of other series also release the first few episodes for free on their official platforms. If you don’t want to pay for the later episodes, that’s your choice. But at least make an effort to support the official release whenever you can. Every legal view helps show there’s an audience for these series and encourages more productions in the future.
I always try to watch a series through legal platforms first, or on YouTube if it’s available for free on the official channel. If it’s not available anywhere I can access, then I have no choice but to watch it elsewhere.
As I said in my original post, if you choose to watch it through unofficial sources, that’s your decision. Just don’t promote or share illegal streaming websites here.
Also if it’s not available in your region you can always change your VPN
