I also love your GUI HAI (Johnny Huang) from Addicted 2016 avatar! That was my first ever BL too. I’ve rewatched it so many times, and I even read both Book 1 and Book 2 six times 😂 I was definitely addicted and still am now, I was so disappointed when it got banned after ep15, and the Thai remake just didn’t do it for me. So nice seeing someone still using an avatar from a series that’s more than 10 years old!

Not only did we get our first Chinese BL wedding, but we also got our first Chinese BL couple appearing together in another series. We’ve seen this countless times in Thai BL, but this is the very first time we’ve had this in Chinese BL. I can already imagine the fans shipping them all over again.

So true. So far, 5 to 6 minute episodes have never really left a good impression on me. The reason I watch them is because they’re easy to watch during my lunch break or when I’m bored at work. But honestly, it’s probably better to wait and binge them all at once.

So glad it’s a completely different genre! I’m already so excited for this. Chinese BLs don’t usually bring back the same couple the way Thai BLs do, so seeing these two together again is such a treat. They have so much chemistry and work so well together, and I’m honestly so happy they’re getting another series together. I can’t wait to see them in a completely different story and dynamic!

I’m so glad you continued watching! As someone with a finance and banking background myself, episode 11 definitely nailed it for me. Seeing everything from a 1990s perspective made it even more interesting and gave the episode such a great vibe. I really hope episodes 11 and 12 will change your rating and make you appreciate the drama a little more!

I’ve said this so many times, but when it comes to plot, cinematography, fighting scenes, and acting, no country does BL better than China.
