Ok, so I debated with myself about posting this because I know I'm probably about to piss off everyone in these…
I understand where you're coming from, and it's absolutely valid to feel disturbed by scenes involving assault, especially when it involves a character who later becomes a romantic lead. However, I think it's important to separate fiction from reality. Revenged Love is a work of fiction, and like countless dramas—not just in BL but across all genres and industries—it explores dark, morally complex, and even controversial themes.

Take Game of Thrones, Outlander, The Handmaid’s Tale, or even older classics like A Clockwork Orange. These are critically acclaimed shows that feature graphic scenes of rape, torture, and violence. Many Western crime dramas, action films, and revenge thrillers feature leads who are murderers, traffickers, or even rapists. And yet audiences are still drawn to them—not because they condone those actions, but because fiction allows us to explore the extremes of human experience, including redemption, power, and the consequences of trauma.

In Revenged Love, yes, Chi Cheng’s early actions are deeply problematic, but that doesn’t mean the story is celebrating or romanticising them. He is portrayed as a product of a brutal world, and much of the intrigue lies in seeing whether someone like him can be changed—or even deserves change. That moral tension is the whole point. It’s the same with “villain to lover” or "morally grey" tropes—they’re not endorsements, they’re what ifs. If you want only purely good characters, you’ll miss out on a lot of layered, emotionally complicated storytelling.

And no, audiences liking a character or show doesn’t mean they’re okay with everything that happens. People can engage critically with media and still find it compelling. Just like watching a mafia drama doesn’t mean we support organised crime.

It's absolutely okay to opt out if it's not your thing. But calling out fans for watching or enjoying a fictional character’s arc—without considering the broader literary and cinematic context—feels a little unfair. We don’t have to like everything about a character to be fascinated by their story.

AAA Why is there a tire with ABO? Help!
The “ABO” on the tyres stands for Alpha/Beta/Omega—a cheeky little nod reminding us to check out another Chinese BL masterpiece while we wait for Revenged Love.

ABO Desire has already started airing, and this Saturday will be episode 5. If you’re not watching it yet, you’re seriously missing out. China really knows how to keep us fed!

Perhaps someday, perhaps ten years from now, or possibly twenty years from now.
Hopefully, with the rise of a new generation of government, China will move toward greater acceptance and eventually legalise same-sex marriage. It would be amazing to see them follow in the footsteps of Taiwan , which has already set a powerful example. I’m not expecting it anytime soon, but maybe in the next 20+ years, we’ll see real change.

I truly hope China 🇨🇳 lifts the BL ban one day, because when it comes to potential, Thailand 🇹🇭, South Korea 🇰🇷, and Taiwan 🇹🇼 are no match. China dominates in so many areas—cinematography, acting, storytelling, chemistry—and let’s not even get started on their costume dramas and fight scenes. No one does it like China. The scale, the elegance, the intensity—it’s on another level.

The Untamed was heavily censored and still pulled in billions of views. Imagine the power of a high-quality, uncensored Chinese BL. Here’s hoping that in the next 20+ years, a new generation of leadership in China 🇨🇳 will be more open and accepting. The talent is already there—they just need the freedom to truly let it shine.

It’s so rare to find a 24-episode series where every single episode hits this hard. I swear, each 40-minute episode feels like just 5 minutes—I’m completely hooked and always left craving more.

since they dub the drama, do they actually kiss in while dubbing or it's just sound only?
Yes, I’m serious 😏 The kiss is definitely real—you can even see their saliva if you zoom in! The dubbing is just to replace Chi Cheng’s actual voice because of his different dialect and accent, not to fake the scene.

Wu Suo Wei’s mum: “The bed in Da Qiong’s room is especially big, you two can roll around.”

Chi Cheng (in his head): Oh, we’ve done more than just roll, Mother-in-law. That bed’s already seen sweat, moans, and legs in the air. All. Night. Long. 😏🔥

Will it be 2 eps every other week? or just for a start
Based on the airing schedule (July 22, 2025 – September 30, 2025), we’re getting two episodes today, followed by one episode per week for the next 10 weeks. So get ready for a weekly dose of drama every Tuesday!

i was so excited for this drama but the episode felt too rushed like they could do 5 episodes with this episode…
I totally get where you're coming from—it did feel quite fast-paced. But it's funny how with My Sweetheart Jom, people were saying it was too slow and nothing happened until Episode 10, and now with this one, it's too fast. We really can’t win! 😂

Honestly, I think both styles have their own charm. Some stories take time to build, while others dive right in. I personally enjoy both—whether it's a slow-burn romance like University, a wild ride like Mafia, or an enemies-to-lovers setup. Each has something unique to offer, and sometimes it's just about enjoying the ride, no matter the pace. 💖

Just watched the first two episodes and yes, it’s another fake relationship to real love plotline, but this one wastes no time. The pacing is wild, they’ve already kissed and the tension is thick.

Chance, who plays Han Tuo, is absolutely gorgeous, seriously unfairly hot. And that height difference, 187cm vs 172cm, is giving major power couple energy. Every glance, every touch has this quiet heat simmering underneath. The childhood flashbacks add just the right amount of emotional pull, making their connection feel fated.

Honestly, I’m hooked. Taiwanese BLs have been pretty quiet this year, but this one is fire and easily my number one so far. Bring on the next 10 episodes. I’m ready for the slow burn, the heat, all of it.

In my country it releases 1h before Revenged love
Same here, I’m in Australia and it airs an hour before Revenged Love—so not exactly the same time.
Two episodes are airing today—Episode 1 is 26 minutes and Episode 2 is 24 minutes, so that’s a total of 50 minutes. You can easily finish both in under an hour and then jump straight into Revenged Love!

Ren is hansome, but an asshole
The actor’s name is First—I’ve loved him since TharnType, Don’t Say No, and Be Mine Superstar. It’s a little sad he’s no longer paired with Ja; they were such a great couple on screen. But honestly, First is such a talented actor—he shines in every role he takes on.

The shooting scene in episode 8 was executed with haunting precision—tense, raw, and unforgettable. Peter and Pond delivered such powerful performances, it felt like time stood still. And then, in the quiet aftermath, Peter caring for Pond in the hospital was pure tenderness. The way they look at each other… their chemistry doesn’t just spark—it burns, quietly and endlessly.

Does anyone knows at what time it airs?
If you scroll up, the MDL countdown timer will show the release time in your own time zone. For me, it’s 9PM Australian Eastern Standard Time—so I’ve got about 2 hours to go.

I just watched the special episode—it was only 29 minutes long, but I really enjoyed it. It featured just two characters: San Lian (Victor’s twin) and Nadol, a new male lead. Short and simple, but definitely worth the watch.

While your words are well-chosen, personally I’m still not a fan of it as an overused trope, and there are some…
You raise some really solid points, and I get where you’re coming from. I agree that the breakup trope can feel overused, especially when it relies on poor communication or trust issues that could’ve been easily resolved. In those cases, I totally get why it feels lazy and frustrating to watch—it’s like conflict for the sake of conflict.

But I also think breakups, when done well, can add emotional depth and growth to a relationship. Sometimes characters need to be pulled apart to understand themselves and their feelings better. It doesn’t always have to be about toxic patterns. It can be about timing, personal struggles, or circumstances outside their control. That’s what keeps me interested.

I also see your point about how some stories succeed beautifully without a breakup. Trapped and Someday or One Day are amazing examples, especially the latter, which handled romance and fate in such a powerful way without relying on the traditional “break up/make up” formula.

But like you, I really enjoyed the breakup in We Best Love. It was painful, but the emotional explosion when they reunited was worth it. That’s the kind of payoff I’m hoping to see with Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei.

Thanks for the thoughtful response, and love that you’re still riding with the show despite what’s coming. It’s going to be an emotional rollercoaster for sure

So many people here and on YouTube are dreading the breakup era—but honestly, name one iconic drama or movie, BL or Western, that didn’t include a breakup? It’s part of what makes the love story hit harder.

Think of Call Me by Your Name or La La Land—those breakups crushed us, but they also made the love more powerful and unforgettable. Sometimes, you don’t realize how much someone means to you until they’re gone. 💔

And that’s true in real life too. My sister broke up with her husband because of his gambling. But during those six months apart, he missed her—her cooking, her care, her presence. Now they’re back together, and stronger than ever. Real-life redemption arc!

So yes, Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei will break up. We know it’s coming. But when they reunite? The chemistry will be explosive. The emotions, the passion, the crazy sex—it’ll all hit like a truck and leave us breathless. 😮‍💨

Sometimes love needs a little distance to come back even deeper.
