If China cannot do it, then I really hope South Korea steps up and produces a full 16 episode BL drama with the same scale and budget as their hit K dramas on Netflix. The market would explode if they invested in it.
Do not get me wrong, I love Korean BLs, but most of them are short format series with lower budgets compared to mainstream K dramas. Imagine if we had a BL with the same production quality as Crash Landing on You, Queen of Tears, or My Demon, with sweeping cinematography, lavish sets, intricate storylines, and an A list cast that pulls in global audiences.

Now picture someone like Cha Eun Woo, Kim Soo Hyun, Park Bo Gum, or Song Kang leading a BL romance with full character arcs, deep emotional beats, and multiple subplots. South Korea already has the storytelling expertise, global reach through Netflix, and a proven track record of making international hits. If they applied that formula to a BL drama, it could easily dominate streaming charts worldwide and change the industry forever.

Not trying to compare, but now that the masterpiece Revenged Love is over, ABO Desire is the closest BL I can put beside it, mainly because both are Chinese and uncensored.

I really hope China 🇨🇳 lifts the BL ban one day, because when it comes to potential, Thailand 🇹🇭, South Korea 🇰🇷, Taiwan 🇹🇼, and Japan 🇯🇵 cannot quite match them. China dominates in so many areas such as cinematography, acting, storytelling, chemistry, and their breathtaking historical costume dramas. No one does horse riding and martial arts fight scenes like China, with the scale, the elegance, the precision, and the sheer intensity on another level.

Even The Untamed, which was heavily censored, still pulled in billions of views and generated millions to China's economy. Just imagine the impact of a high quality, uncensored Chinese BL with all the grandeur of historical costumes, sweeping horse riding sequences, and beautifully choreographed martial arts.

I am really looking forward to upcoming 'Kill to Love', our first proper Chinese historical and martial arts BL. It feels like such a big step for the genre, and I cannot wait to see how they bring it to life.

Hopefully, in the next couple of decades, a new generation of leadership in China will be more open and accepting. The talent is already there, they just need the freedom to let it shine.

i dont understand why people are dropping or critiquing the series without watching it as a whole, i am for one…
I agree with everything you said. Just imagine the actors, crew, and staff putting in all their hard work to bring this show to life. Some people judge way too early. I’d rather just be positive and enjoy it. There’s already enough negativity in the world, and this BL has been such a fun escape for me.

Agreed, that’s why you see him running after JunXi like his life depends on it. It’s just common sense. I would do the same.

Now that Revenged Love is over, what are me and you going to talk about? Don't tell me if will only just be this series?😭

I hate the lead character. He's an Abuser a dominant. A real fuckpig i would rather see him castrated!
If he was just a green flag, it would be another safe and predictable romance with no real intensity or edge. I do not see him as an abuser or some dominant monster at all. What I see is someone who loves JunXi so deeply that it comes out as jealousy and possessiveness, which is part of his personality and how he expresses his feelings.
Plenty of dramas have characters who are rough around the edges but still deeply in love, like Chi Cheng in Revenged Love or even in Western series, you see this dynamic in characters like Damon from The Vampire Diaries or Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl. Their actions are not always perfect, but they are driven by genuine care and passion. That complexity is what makes the story engaging.

Holy crap, this series moves so fast, like a rocket launcher. They cleared the misunderstanding in under 60 seconds, while other BLs would probably drag it out for at least a few episodes. At the rate we are going, they will be married and have kids in the next few episodes. I am loving this series so much, it is such a nice change. Really looking forward to the next 7 episodes.

What's your top 5? I don't want to miss any. So difficult to choose from but mine probably are:Revenged LoveLife:Love…
I’m glad we have similar taste.
You got three out of five of my top BLs.

As for the other two, I also love Be My Favourite and Lovely Writer, both solid 9/10 for me.

If you liked Up from Lovely Writer, you should definitely watch My Stand-In. His character is so different, yet it’s another 10/10 series for me.

I have said this many times already but this is truly the best BL I have ever watched in my life. I have watched more than 350+ BLs across 7 countries over the past 10 years and nothing even comes close. The plot is gripping from start to finish, the acting is phenomenal, and the chemistry between the leads is unmatched. Every episode kept me hooked and every emotion hit deep. A masterpiece I will never forget. 1000/10 from me.

I feel bad for saying this, but this series is just so boring. I’ll probably finish it since I’m already halfway through, and I hate leaving dramas unfinished but honestly, it just feels like another box-ticker so I can mark it as “completed.”

I’ve watched 10 Japanese BLs this year, including 5 that are currently airing, and honestly, most of the kissing scenes have been pretty bad. But finally, episode 2 of this one proved otherwise! Looking forward to the next 8 episodes.

Watch Love Sea: Ai no Ibasho, a new Japan reamke BL, kissing scene in ep 2 was really good.

I’ve poured my heart into writing one for every episode and this will be the final one, the last before the finale drops in just five hours.

Episode 23 shall be called ‘A Love That Sacrifices Everything.’

They said the last few episodes had too much comedy.
But this episode, the comedy is gone.
Episode 23 is sorrow in its purest form. 💔

Yue Yue drifted from Wu Suo Wei,
to Wang Zhen Long,
to Chi Cheng,
changing lovers like changing clothes,
always chasing the richer man.
And when Wu Suo Wei finally rose from poverty,
she dared to return.
When he refused her,
she turned to his mother.
If this is not the definition of a gold digger,
what is?

But Wu Suo Wei,
my heart aches for him.
Born poor,
counting every cent,
saving every coin.
Yet for Chi Cheng,
he sold everything,
even his home,
losing two million yuan,
just to save him.

Back on the streets,
he worked from dawn till night,
moulding sugar figurines,
hands raw and aching.
He knelt before Wang Zhen Long,
pride shattered,
for the man he loves.
And still, Wang Zhen Long came back to mock him.

Yet he stood tall.
He kept going.
If this is not love,
then love does not exist.

Even Chi Cheng’s rich parents stayed silent.
Was it because their son loves a man?
Would they rather leave their fortune to a grandson
than save their own child?

But there was one bright light,
Dr. Jiang Xiao Shuai,
offering help without hesitation.
A friend like that is rare.

And then the jail scene.
Two men, tears falling like rain.
Wu Suo Wei’s voice steady,
his love unshaken.
Chi Cheng saying, “I hate you,”
when what he really meant was,
I hate that you gave up everything for me.
I hate that you sold your family for my freedom.

Chi Cheng, crying quietly over a simple meal in prison,
is an image I’ll never forget.

Sometimes silence carries the loudest pain.
When Chi Cheng said, “I hate you,”
he was not pushing Wei Wei away
but drowning in the weight of sacrifice.

I hate that you gave up everything for me.
I hate that you sold your family for my freedom.
I hate that your happiness came at the cost of mine.

It is not hatred for Wei Wei
but hatred for a cruel fate they cannot escape.

If he truly meant those words,
he would not have sat there crying,
eating quietly, his tears falling unseen,
his walls crumbling, his heart bare.

His silence and broken guard
speak louder than any words ever could.

Tonight it all ends.
One last episode.
One final goodbye.

“I don’t need luxury,
I just need you.”

If this is not love,
tell me what is. 💔

Just so you know, Addicted, Revenged Love, and Stay With Me are all from the same author, Chai JiDan. Also, Stay With Me is actually a remake of Addicted, FYI.

the last ep comes out in 8hrs and 30mins from now !
That’s common here on MDL. No countdown in the last few hours before the final episode, yet users can already mark it as ‘Completed,’ showing 24/24 watched, when in fact episode 24 won’t be released for another 7 hours.
