Heartfelt Moments with a Few Missed Opportunities
What I LikeAfter Episodes 1 and 2, and my heart is so full right now š„¹š. The way these two communicate is everything, honest, sweet, and straight to the point. Thereās no drama or unnecessary games, just pure connection. The pacing of the first two episodes is fast, but itās got me hooked; I love how quickly things develop. The chemistry between the two leads is off the charts, like, itās almost too perfect to handle! Both actors are drop-dead gorgeous and ridiculously cute, making every scene a joy to watch š„°.
I also really appreciated Episode 9, where we finally see them move in together as a couple. Itās so heartwarming, especially because the dynamic feels so real. You know the kind, one is neat, the otherās messy, and itās just a perfect example of opposites attracting. The small arguments they have are realistic too, but what stands out the most is how they deal with things. They apologize and work through everything with raw, honest communication. Itās real life in its truest form, and I couldnāt love it more.
Kanade Shinichiroās family situation was also something that hit me hard. His reluctance to go home because of his fatherās expectations feels so relatable, especially in Asian cultures where family honor, expectations, and shame often loom over every decision. Heās terrified of being rejected for being gay, even though society has shifted. This is so much more than just a coming-out story, itās about the emotional toll of living under the weight of generational pressures and fear. The way this was portrayed was poignant and made me reflect on how deep those family dynamics can run.
Episode 11 was a standout, where the whole family dynamic was brought to the forefront. Kanade's mom and sister offering their unwavering support was deeply moving, it's a reminder that sometimes, the people we fear rejecting us the most can end up being our greatest allies. Itās a beautiful portrayal of hope and acceptance, especially in cultures where the fear of disappointing loved ones can be overwhelming. The scene with Kanade and his father walking and talking together was so emotionalāit felt like a real breakthrough.
What I Dislike & Room for Improvement
I absolutely loved Episode 6, honestly, the jealousy moments were peak cuteness š. But Japan⦠itās 2025, and we need to talk about that kiss. It was, like, 0.5 seconds. A blink. A peck. A goldfish kiss lasts longer. š Please, Japan, we need a real kiss! Iām all for teasing, but by this point, these two have known each other for years, their love is deep, and when the moment finally comes, itās a total letdown. I was expecting passion, fire, but it felt so restrained, almost hesitant. For a couple thatās been through so much, this was the moment weād been waiting for, and it just⦠fizzled.
The lack of emotional payoff here was frustrating. I get that thereās a fine line between restraint and giving fans what they want, but after eight episodes of building tension, this was a huge missed opportunity. The chemistry was there, and weāve seen them grow into their loveāso why hold back on the most important moment in their relationship? Iād rather have no kiss at all than a scene that feels half hearted and rushed. It wasnāt about fan service; it was about respecting the emotional journey weāve all invested in, and delivering a moment that was worthy of everything theyāve been through. They earned it, and so did we.
Final Thoughts
Despite my frustrations with that kiss (honestly, Japan, come on), Stay by My Side After the Rain is still a beautiful series. The honest, raw portrayal of love, family, and personal struggles in a Japanese BL setting really makes this show stand out. The pacing, the character development, and the chemistry between the leads have all been incredibly strong. The series handles some heavy topics with care, and even though itās not perfect, itās genuinely moving. Iām looking forward to the finale, but I canāt help but wish for just a little more passion where it counts.
Rating: 8.5/10 Solid, emotional, but with room to improve on those key moments!
10/10 Review for Pit Babe ā A Thai BL Masterpiece
What an absolute masterpiece! I binged all 13 episodes of Pit Babe in just two days ā that's how hooked I was. From the very first episode to the last, not a single moment felt boring or out of place. Itās been a long time since a series gripped me this hard, and I couldnāt stop watching.
One thing that immediately stood out to me was the absence of any female characters ā not even in supporting roles ā which is honestly so refreshing. It created a uniquely immersive atmosphere, centered entirely around the relationships and dynamics between the male leads, and it worked perfectly.
The genre itself is such a breath of fresh air ā car racing and garage life? Yes, please! Finally, a Thai BL that's not set in a university or high school. The adrenaline, the heat, the roaring engines ā it all added a thrilling edge that elevated the story beyond the typical love-line drama.
Letās talk about the acting: Pavel absolutely stole the show. His performance was packed with raw emotion ā every time he cried, I cried. And visually? His face is just stunning to look at, expressive in a way that made every scene hit even harder. Charlie, on the other hand, brought such tenderness to the series. His unwavering love and devotion, no matter how many times Babe turned him down, made my heart ache in the best way. He was the definition of a sweet, loyal boyfriend.
The rest of the cast? Just as incredible. Every actor brought depth to their role and their visuals? Top-tier. Talented, gorgeous, and completely convincing in every scene.
As far as action BLs go, Pit Babe is right up there as one of the best I've ever seen. The blend of fast cars, high stakes, and raw emotional intensity was already amazing ā and then they gave us that NC scene. Hot. Steamy. Unforgettable. 10/10.
Iām beyond excited for Season 2, which is dropping next week ā but Iām not emotionally ready to watch only one episode per week. The wait is going to kill me! š
Perfect 10 Liners = Perfect 10 scores
To be honest, I was initially hesitant to watch this series, as I was wary of another university-themed drama with a lengthy 24-episode run. I only began watching it a week before the finale aired, and Iām so glad I did. The series was so compelling that I ended up binge-watching 23 episodes in just three daysāI was completely hooked from start to finish.I particularly enjoyed the development of the three main couples, from enemies to lovers, as they faced and overcame their fears together and gradually opened up to love. I appreciated how seamlessly their storylines were woven together throughout the series, creating a harmonious and engaging narrative. The relationships were filled with "green flag" moments and genuinely heartwarming scenes.
The cinematography and plot were exceptionally well done, and all six lead actors delivered stunning performances. Even the two secondary couples added charm and fun to the overall experience. It was a beautifully executed series that exceeded my expectations in every way.
Slow Burn, Fast Kiss⦠We Were Robbed!
Binged I Became the Main Role of a BL Drama in one sitting before Season 2 drops ā only 3 eps, under 3 hours, super easy to get through. The leads? Stunning š with great chemistry š„ (that birthday cake moment was seriously cute š°š).But letās be honest ā the plot is very simple. It gave me similar vibes to The Spark in Your Eyes (2025 Chinese BL) ā both are about actors falling for each other while filming a BL. Not saying one copied the other ā just funny how the trope is back again š.
Still, I was kinda bored š . Nothing really grabbed me or made me feel butterflies. And the biggest letdown? That so-called kiss at the end. ONE. SECOND. I waited all 3 episodes for something swoony and we got crumbs š¤. Whereās the passion? Whereās the drama? Hoping Season 2 delivers a proper kiss and some actual heat! š„š„
Itās a light and visually pretty BL with a cute pairing, but if youāre looking for intensity, keep those expectations low.
š 7.5/10
š Watch for the pretty faces, stay in hope of a real kiss next season!
Love, Curry Rice & Green Flags ā Only Boo! is BL Comfort at Its Finest ?? 10/10
Just finished all 12 episodes in 2 sittings and I couldnāt stop smiling from start to end ššThis is honestly one of the cutest and warmest BLs Iāve ever seenāpure, wholesome, and full of heart.
⨠Mooās first love for Kang was adorable right from the start. I still canāt get over that beautiful moment when Moo wrote the theme song for Kang and sang it through the schoolās speakers š¶š« If someone ever did that for me⦠Iād simply melt into a puddle.
šµ I also LOVED the OSTāespecially the theme song Moo wrote. I've listened to it so many times now, it's stuck in my head and heart šš§
š Loved the lack of unnecessary dramaāno annoying third wheels, no miscommunication, just healthy communication, apologies when needed, and emotional maturity.
The break-up scene on the Metro was so unique and heartbreaking š„¹ And Moo keeping the frozen curry-rice in the freezer for a year?? That was LOVE in its purest form ššš
š« I also adored the second couple, Potoe and Payos. Watching all four boys grow from high schoolers to successful idols while supporting each other was so heartwarming.
š¤ A special shoutout to Keen (Moo) ā I was shocked heās only 18!! Heās super talented: he can act, sing, dance, and just lights up the screen with his cuteness and charm š„¹ Canāt wait to see more of him!
This series gave TharnType x Lovely Writer x TopForm vibes ā showing how tough idol life is and the price of love in the public eye.
š Only Boo! is soft, genuine, healing, and full of green flags š± Highly, highly recommended!
Title: Most Intense Enemies-to-Lovers Ever ā Completely Obsessed!
I just finished all 12 episodes of Love Syndrome III in just a couple of days ā and let me tell you, I was hooked. I watched the uncut version (1 hour per episode) and I highly recommend everyone do the same. Do not watch the cut version on Viki ā it loses so much depth and emotion. The uncut version is raw, powerful, and totally worth every minute.Honestly, this is the perfect example of why you shouldnāt trust MDL ratings blindly. Despite its low 6.5 rating here, Iām giving this drama a solid 10/10. I wasnāt bored for even a second. Each 1-hour episode flew by. If you love chaos, pain, deep emotional bonds, and intensity ā this is it. One of the best, most brutal and emotionally exhausting enemies-to-lovers Iāve seen. And Iāve watched a lot of BLs. Nothing comes close to the level of obsession and emotional whiplash this series delivers.
I watched Love Syndrome III after finishing Unforgotten Night and Love Syndrome: The Beginning ā and to be honest, the order doesnāt really matter. But if I could rewatch them, Iād do it in reverse release order:
1. Love Syndrome: The Beginning (2024)
2. Love Syndrome III (2023)
3. Unforgotten Night (2022)
The characters Day and Itt appear in all three, but each version features different actors. My favorite by far is Long (Day) and Frank (Itt) in Love Syndrome III. The chemistry between them is insane ā intense eye contact, explosive fights, and passionate moments. Both are tall, gorgeous, and incredibly talented. Their portrayal of Day and Itt is unforgettable.
What I Loved:
The Plot: People say itās toxic ā and yes, it is. But thatās exactly what makes it so addicting. If it wasnāt ātoxic,ā it would be just another forgettable BL. You have to watch the entire series to fully understand the emotional layers and the reasons behind their actions.
Emotional Shift: At first, Day is endlessly patient with Ittās childish behavior. But after the accident, the roles reverse. Itt sacrifices everything for Day. The love, pain, and loyalty he shows is heart-wrenching.
Ittās Devotion: Heās so tired, emotionally wrecked, and all he wants is to be loved back. And still, he never gives up. Even when heās hurt, even when itās unfair, he takes care of Day. That is real love.
The Title: It lives up to the name ā Love Syndrome. It's not a light romance. It's about obsession, sacrifice, heartbreak, and healing. Itās a full-blown emotional syndrome.
Theyāve been through so much together. This was not just a love story ā it was a war, a survival, a test of what love can endure. One of the most unforgettable and chaotic BLs Iāve ever watched.
If you're into dark romance, high-stakes emotions, and rollercoaster dynamics, do yourself a favor and dive into Love Syndrome III. You won't regret it.
Beyond Life and Death ā A Standout BL That Touches the Soul
I randomly stumbled upon "My Stand-In" while browsing iQIYI, not expecting much ā and I ended up binge-watching all 12 episodes in one sitting (over 15 hours with breaks!) because I simply couldnāt stop. I still canāt believe I missed this gem when it aired. Every second was worth it.This is my first time seeing Joe (Poom) and Ming (Up) ā and wow, both are absolutely stunning. Their acting is phenomenal, their chemistry is electric, and they brought so much depth to their roles. Joe, especially, completely broke my heart. Growing up as an orphan, all he ever wanted was something so simple: a home-cooked meal and someone waiting for him. His journey, the pain he hides, and his quiet strength made me fall in love with his character.
As for Ming, I honestly donāt get the hate. Yes, he made mistakes and came off as toxic in the beginning, but context matters. It was a misunderstanding, and by episode 9, everything changes when he realizes it was Joe, not Tong, who he fell in love with at first sight. He fought his entire family for Joe, starved himself to the point of hospitalization, and gave up everything ā money, family, reputation ā just to be with him. And when Joe got kidnapped, Ming was ready to trade his life for him. Thatās not a red flag ā thatās a man who learned, changed, and truly loved. He even apologized with sincerity. To me, Ming turned out to be one of the biggest green flags in any BL Iāve watched.
And letās talk about that moment when Joe shielded Ming and took the bullet for him. If thatās not love, I donāt know what is.
I also adored their home ā finally, something different from the typical uni dorm! That city-view balcony where they shared so many moments felt like its own character in the story. I also liked the bodyguard Jim, and I really wish we had more screen time with Mike!
From the cinematography to the music to the unique supernatural twist ā this show had it all. The plot was emotionally layered, never predictable, and handled so beautifully. It made me cry, smile, ache, and hope. Iāve watched over 200+ BL series, and I can confidently say "My Stand-In" is in my Top 5 of all time.
This isnāt just a show ā itās a story that stays with you. An absolute 10/10.
? Perfect Ending to a Perfect BL ā The Special Episode We Deserved!
10/10 ā Sweet, Spicy, and So Satisfying!
The Love in The Air Special Episode was the perfect way to wrap up both couplesā stories. At 70 minutes long, it didnāt feel like an afterthought ā it felt like a proper continuation and closure for PayuRain and PrapaiSky š.
We got more of everything fans love: hot NC scenes š„ (yes, multiple and yes, they delivered), beautiful beach visuals šļø, and those funny, relatable relationship moments ā like when Rain and Sky both left their boyfriends because they were mad and jealous š. It was such a cute parallel, and seeing Payu and Prapai panic and try to win them back was chefās kiss.
Sky and Prapaiās scenes were especially tender and healing š«¶, while Rain and Payu brought the usual fire and chaotic charm š„šØ. The emotional beats landed well, the humor was light and genuine, and visually it was one of the prettiest episodes in the whole series.
This episode felt like a gift for the fans. It gave us closure, laughs, tears, kisses, and⦠well, a lot more š. If you loved the main series, the special episode is a must-watch ā and yes, the uncut version is š„š„š„.
? Beautiful, Bittersweet, and Deeply Moving ā 10/10
Tokyo in April is... completely stole my heart. It's not just a love storyāitās a quiet, powerful journey about healing, reconnection, and the lingering impact of first love. From start to finish, I was emotionally invested in every moment, and itās one of those rare series that stays with you long after the final episode ends.š Story & Writing
The plot is simple yet profound. It follows Kazuma and Ren, two high school friends reunited as adults after years of silence and heartbreak. Their past is filled with pain, but their reunion is beautifully restrained, realistic, and emotionally layered. The storytelling never rushes, allowing space for meaningful glances, silences, and subtle emotional shifts that speak louder than words. Itās mature and authentic, and I deeply appreciated the way it explored trauma, identity, and forgiveness.
š Acting
The performances are outstanding. Takeda Kouhei as Kazuma and Sakurai Yuki as Ren bring so much depth and nuance to their roles. You can feel the history between them in the way they look at each otherāthe longing, the hesitation, and the unspoken words. Their chemistry is undeniable, but more than that, itās genuine. It felt like watching two real people find their way back to something they thought they had lost forever.
Takeda Kouhei as Kazuma is absolutely adorableāgorgeous, beautiful, and effortlessly charming. He plays Kazuma with such warmth and tenderness. He's the kind of character who cooks, cares deeply, and lights up when he sees Ren. His acting in Episode 7, when he breaks down crying, and in Episode 8, when heās overwhelmed and confused about his feelings for Ren, was so movingāI cried right along with him. He truly comes across as the kind of husband or boyfriend anyone would be lucky to have. When Ren says, āIāll do whatever it takes to come home to Kazuma,ā I felt that deeplyāand completely agreed.
š¬ Production & Atmosphere
Visually, the series is soft and atmospheric, with a beautiful use of light and Tokyoās quiet corners to reflect the characters' emotions. The soundtrack is gentle and perfectly chosen, adding to the emotional pull without being overpowering. The pacing is slow in the best wayāit gives room for the story to breathe and for the emotional beats to land.
ā¤ļø Final Thoughts
I binged all 8 episodes in one sittingāI simply couldnāt stop watching. The emotional pull, the gentle pacing, and the connection between the leads kept me fully hooked. This show melted my heart in the best way.
I really hope we get a Season 2, especially with the hint of Ren moving toward marriage and family life. Thereās still so much story left to tell, and I would love to see where their paths lead from here.
10/10 ā A tender, heartfelt series that reminds us that sometimes love finds its way back, even after years of silence.
? Johan and North Stole My Heart ā Best BL Couple Ever!
Fourever You is a shining gem in the world of Thai BL, delivering a rare blend of emotional depth, strong character dynamics, and feel-good storytelling. After watching Perfect 10 Liners, I came into this series with high expectationsāand it absolutely did not disappoint. Both shows are must-watches: cute, non-toxic, and filled with supportive friendships and an incredibly charming cast. I was so hooked that I binged all 17 episodes in just three sittings!š Story & Characters
The series follows four close friendsāEaster, Hill, North, and Johanāas they navigate university life, personal growth, and romantic relationships. While it took me a bit to warm up to the first few episodes (especially with Ter/Easter, played by Earth), I gradually grew to appreciate his character more. Iāve loved Earth since My Only 12% and Until We Meet Again, but here his character felt a bit immature at first. That said, his friendship with North was a highlightāsupportive, wholesome, and real. My only small critique is that Ter studies veterinary science, yet we never see him interact with animals or do anything related to his fieldāmost of his screen time involves art classes, which feels like a missed opportunity.
Hill (Pond) is visually stunning and has undeniable screen presence. I really enjoyed his calm yet captivating portrayal and canāt wait to see him in his upcoming series Reset. As a couple, HillTer has great chemistry, and I would rate their pairing an 8/10.
š But the real stars for me are Johan and North. This couple completely stole the show. Johan (Maxky) is tall, handsome, smart (a med student!), and comes from wealthāheās the full package. Paired with North (Bas), who is just adorable, genuine, and emotionally expressive, they became one of the best BL couples Iāve ever seen. I wholeheartedly agree with the many MDL and YouTube comments: JohanNorth is top-tier BL couple goals. Their dynamic felt mature, affectionate, and deeply romantic.
JohanNorth couple rating: 10/10 ā perfect chemistry, perfect pacing, and emotionally fulfilling.
šØ Important Viewing Tip: Watch the Uncut Version!
Please allow me to emphasize this: do not watch the cut version available on YouTube. I strongly recommend watching the uncut version. While it may only be a few minutes longer per episode, those minutes are crucial. They contain key emotional scenes that elevate the storytelling significantly.
Take Episode 15, for instance. After Johan returns from Boston, there's a heartfelt rooftop moment where he asks North to be his boyfriend. They hug and share two intense, passionate kissesānone of which are included in the YouTube cut. Having compared both versions myself, I can confidently say the uncut version offers a much richer and more emotionally complete experience. Donāt miss out on that depthāitās well worth it.
š¬ Production & Final Thoughts
Studio Wabi Sabi continues to deliver. While Thai BL production budgets may not always match those of Korean dramas, the chemistry, storytelling, and emotional payoff are all there. The show is visually appealing, the pacing is smooth, and the soundtrack enhances the atmosphere beautifully.
Fourever You is the kind of series that sneaks up on you emotionally. Itās about friendship, love, and growing into the people youāre meant to beāwith lots of heart along the way. Iām already counting down to Season 2, especially to see more of the other three couples.
Highly recommended for anyone who loves soft, romantic BLs with real emotional impact and a cast that feels like family. 10/10. š«
? Hooked from the Start! Big Stole My Heart ?
Rating: 9.5/10
Monster Next Door (2024) is hands down one of the CUTEST BL series Iāve seen this year! š„° I was totally hooked from the very beginning and binged the whole thing in just two sittings ā true bindweed behavior šæš
The friend group was such a joy to watch ā I loved how supportive and genuine their bond was š It made the emotional moments hit even harder.
Now letās talk about Big as God... Iām completely OBSESSED š Heās literally perfect ā the height, the body, the smile, the everything. Heās so cute and handsome, like the ultimate boyfriend. Iām already counting down the days until Me and Who ā canāt wait to see him again! š«¶
Also really liked Park as Diew ā heās adorable too! Though I wasnāt the biggest fan of the blonde hair š Sooo happy heās back to his natural black hair in Me and Who ā he looks 1000x better with it š¤āØ
Highly recommend this if you're into sweet stories, lovable characters, and a sprinkle of chaos š«
A Masterpiece That Captures the Reality of Same-Sex Relationships
At first, I was confused by the imagery of the characters walking in a straight lineābut by the end, everything made perfect sense. The title, āLife: Love on the Line,ā resonates so deeply now. Itās not just a metaphorāit encapsulates the entire journey of Akira and Yuuki, who meet at 17 and grow old together until theyāre 82.
I canāt believe this was released in 2020 and I only came across it five years later. This is far from the typical Thai university BL series filled with light-hearted romantic tropes. Instead, it's a deeply mature and realistic portrayal of a same-sex relationship navigating the complexities of life, family, and societal expectations.
Akira was the first to feel attracted to Yuuki, initiating their first kiss. He was drawn to Yuuki from the very beginning. But after living together for 11 years, it becomes evident that Akira faced immense pressureāfrom both his parents and friendsāto lead a so-called ānormalā life: marriage, children, and conformity. That inner conflict resonated with me on a deeply personal level. I found myself in tears, overwhelmed with emotion, because I too am in a similar situation. In my early 30s, still closeted, I continue to face pressure from family and friends to marry and start a family, all while hiding who I truly am.
Akira, like many, may have momentarily lost sight of the person who truly loved himāYuuki. Sometimes, people donāt realize what they have until itās gone. That realization can come too late.
Many viewers may feel anger towards Akira for leaving Yuuki, but the context matters. Yuukiās mother was open-minded and supportive, while Akiraās mother was not. Akira simply wanted to be seen as "normal" in the eyes of his family. But in the end, he recognized the mistake he made and showed genuine remorse. His confrontation with his mother was powerful, emotional, and incredibly realistic. He not only stood up for himself but also supported his sister through her own struggles.
It begs the question: Does living a ānormalā life truly bring happiness? For many parents, like Akiraās mother, being ānormalā means avoiding gossip or judgment. But happiness doesnāt come from fitting ināit comes from being with the person you love, someone you want to spend your life with, regardless of what society expects.
What I loved most about this series was its realism. The chemistry between the two male leads was profound, the storyline was compelling, and every moment felt authentic and powerful. Itās an absolute masterpieceā10 out of 10.
I wholeheartedly recommend this series to everyone. Japanese BL dramas hit differentlyāthey donāt just entertain; they make you feel, reflect, and relate.
A Bold and Steamy Step for Korean BL
Tide of Love is our first Korean BL that leans into BDSM and while it is not as explicit as Thai or Japanese BLs, I still really enjoyed it. I already love both main leads from Sweetheart Service and Myeong continues to impress me with every role. He is tall, handsome and incredibly attractive which makes every scene with him even more captivating. The kiss scenes and the erotic moments are definitely the highlights. They are intimate, well shot and full of chemistry.
My only criticisms are the very weak plot and the editing issues. Some scenes feel mismatched with the audio and the pacing suffers because each episode is only around ten minutes. I wish it were longer because the potential is there.
Despite its flaws, Tide of Love is still a fun, hot and refreshing BL to watch and a bold step for Korean BL content.
A Gripping Psychological Thriller That Never Lets Go
Wow, I was completely hooked from the very first episode to the final moment. The Price of Confession is one of those rare dramas where not a single minute feels wasted. The pacing is tight, the tension never drops, and every episode leaves you wanting more. The two female leads are absolutely outstanding. Their performances are powerful, layered, and magnetic, carrying the entire series with emotional depth and quiet intensity. Watching their dynamic unfold is both thrilling and unsettling in the best way. Every look, every line, and every silence feels deliberate and meaningful.
This drama delivers everything a top tier psychological thriller should. Suspense that keeps you on edge, mystery that constantly shifts your assumptions, the fear of being wrongly accused, and chilling mind games that crawl under your skin. The atmosphere is dark and gripping, yet never confusing or overdone.
What truly elevates this show is how smart and confident it is. It trusts the audience, challenges your judgment, and makes you question what truth really means. By the end, it leaves a lasting impact that stays with you long after the screen fades to black.
A flawless, exhilarating watch and an easy 10 out of 10.
Disappointing and Dull: One of 2025ās Worst Japanese BLs
I feel bad saying this, but this series was incredibly boring. Iām more than halfway through, and Iāll probably finish it simply because I dislike leaving dramas unfinished, but honestly, it feels like just another box-ticker to mark as ācompleted.āThe plot is dull, the characters lack chemistry, the casting feels off, and the music does nothing to elevate the experience. I hate being negative, but this has been one of the worst BLs Iāve watched in 2025 and the worst Japanese BL of the year.
