? Perfect Ending to a Perfect BL – The Special Episode We Deserved!
10/10 – Sweet, Spicy, and So Satisfying!
The Love in The Air Special Episode was the perfect way to wrap up both couples’ stories. At 70 minutes long, it didn’t feel like an afterthought — it felt like a proper continuation and closure for PayuRain and PrapaiSky 💞.
We got more of everything fans love: hot NC scenes 🔥 (yes, multiple and yes, they delivered), beautiful beach visuals 🏖️, and those funny, relatable relationship moments — like when Rain and Sky both left their boyfriends because they were mad and jealous 😆. It was such a cute parallel, and seeing Payu and Prapai panic and try to win them back was chef’s kiss.
Sky and Prapai’s scenes were especially tender and healing 🫶, while Rain and Payu brought the usual fire and chaotic charm 💥💨. The emotional beats landed well, the humor was light and genuine, and visually it was one of the prettiest episodes in the whole series.
This episode felt like a gift for the fans. It gave us closure, laughs, tears, kisses, and… well, a lot more 😏. If you loved the main series, the special episode is a must-watch — and yes, the uncut version is 🔥🔥🔥.
? Beautiful, Bittersweet, and Deeply Moving – 10/10
Tokyo in April is... completely stole my heart. It's not just a love story—it’s a quiet, powerful journey about healing, reconnection, and the lingering impact of first love. From start to finish, I was emotionally invested in every moment, and it’s one of those rare series that stays with you long after the final episode ends.📝 Story & Writing
The plot is simple yet profound. It follows Kazuma and Ren, two high school friends reunited as adults after years of silence and heartbreak. Their past is filled with pain, but their reunion is beautifully restrained, realistic, and emotionally layered. The storytelling never rushes, allowing space for meaningful glances, silences, and subtle emotional shifts that speak louder than words. It’s mature and authentic, and I deeply appreciated the way it explored trauma, identity, and forgiveness.
🎭 Acting
The performances are outstanding. Takeda Kouhei as Kazuma and Sakurai Yuki as Ren bring so much depth and nuance to their roles. You can feel the history between them in the way they look at each other—the longing, the hesitation, and the unspoken words. Their chemistry is undeniable, but more than that, it’s genuine. It felt like watching two real people find their way back to something they thought they had lost forever.
Takeda Kouhei as Kazuma is absolutely adorable—gorgeous, beautiful, and effortlessly charming. He plays Kazuma with such warmth and tenderness. He's the kind of character who cooks, cares deeply, and lights up when he sees Ren. His acting in Episode 7, when he breaks down crying, and in Episode 8, when he’s overwhelmed and confused about his feelings for Ren, was so moving—I cried right along with him. He truly comes across as the kind of husband or boyfriend anyone would be lucky to have. When Ren says, “I’ll do whatever it takes to come home to Kazuma,” I felt that deeply—and completely agreed.
🎬 Production & Atmosphere
Visually, the series is soft and atmospheric, with a beautiful use of light and Tokyo’s quiet corners to reflect the characters' emotions. The soundtrack is gentle and perfectly chosen, adding to the emotional pull without being overpowering. The pacing is slow in the best way—it gives room for the story to breathe and for the emotional beats to land.
❤️ Final Thoughts
I binged all 8 episodes in one sitting—I simply couldn’t stop watching. The emotional pull, the gentle pacing, and the connection between the leads kept me fully hooked. This show melted my heart in the best way.
I really hope we get a Season 2, especially with the hint of Ren moving toward marriage and family life. There’s still so much story left to tell, and I would love to see where their paths lead from here.
10/10 – A tender, heartfelt series that reminds us that sometimes love finds its way back, even after years of silence.
? Johan and North Stole My Heart – Best BL Couple Ever!
Fourever You is a shining gem in the world of Thai BL, delivering a rare blend of emotional depth, strong character dynamics, and feel-good storytelling. After watching Perfect 10 Liners, I came into this series with high expectations—and it absolutely did not disappoint. Both shows are must-watches: cute, non-toxic, and filled with supportive friendships and an incredibly charming cast. I was so hooked that I binged all 17 episodes in just three sittings!🌟 Story & Characters
The series follows four close friends—Easter, Hill, North, and Johan—as they navigate university life, personal growth, and romantic relationships. While it took me a bit to warm up to the first few episodes (especially with Ter/Easter, played by Earth), I gradually grew to appreciate his character more. I’ve loved Earth since My Only 12% and Until We Meet Again, but here his character felt a bit immature at first. That said, his friendship with North was a highlight—supportive, wholesome, and real. My only small critique is that Ter studies veterinary science, yet we never see him interact with animals or do anything related to his field—most of his screen time involves art classes, which feels like a missed opportunity.
Hill (Pond) is visually stunning and has undeniable screen presence. I really enjoyed his calm yet captivating portrayal and can’t wait to see him in his upcoming series Reset. As a couple, HillTer has great chemistry, and I would rate their pairing an 8/10.
💘 But the real stars for me are Johan and North. This couple completely stole the show. Johan (Maxky) is tall, handsome, smart (a med student!), and comes from wealth—he’s the full package. Paired with North (Bas), who is just adorable, genuine, and emotionally expressive, they became one of the best BL couples I’ve ever seen. I wholeheartedly agree with the many MDL and YouTube comments: JohanNorth is top-tier BL couple goals. Their dynamic felt mature, affectionate, and deeply romantic.
JohanNorth couple rating: 10/10 — perfect chemistry, perfect pacing, and emotionally fulfilling.
🚨 Important Viewing Tip: Watch the Uncut Version!
Please allow me to emphasize this: do not watch the cut version available on YouTube. I strongly recommend watching the uncut version. While it may only be a few minutes longer per episode, those minutes are crucial. They contain key emotional scenes that elevate the storytelling significantly.
Take Episode 15, for instance. After Johan returns from Boston, there's a heartfelt rooftop moment where he asks North to be his boyfriend. They hug and share two intense, passionate kisses—none of which are included in the YouTube cut. Having compared both versions myself, I can confidently say the uncut version offers a much richer and more emotionally complete experience. Don’t miss out on that depth—it’s well worth it.
🎬 Production & Final Thoughts
Studio Wabi Sabi continues to deliver. While Thai BL production budgets may not always match those of Korean dramas, the chemistry, storytelling, and emotional payoff are all there. The show is visually appealing, the pacing is smooth, and the soundtrack enhances the atmosphere beautifully.
Fourever You is the kind of series that sneaks up on you emotionally. It’s about friendship, love, and growing into the people you’re meant to be—with lots of heart along the way. I’m already counting down to Season 2, especially to see more of the other three couples.
Highly recommended for anyone who loves soft, romantic BLs with real emotional impact and a cast that feels like family. 10/10. 💫
? Hooked from the Start! Big Stole My Heart ?
Rating: 9.5/10
Monster Next Door (2024) is hands down one of the CUTEST BL series I’ve seen this year! 🥰 I was totally hooked from the very beginning and binged the whole thing in just two sittings — true bindweed behavior 🌿😅
The friend group was such a joy to watch — I loved how supportive and genuine their bond was 💕 It made the emotional moments hit even harder.
Now let’s talk about Big as God... I’m completely OBSESSED 😍 He’s literally perfect — the height, the body, the smile, the everything. He’s so cute and handsome, like the ultimate boyfriend. I’m already counting down the days until Me and Who — can’t wait to see him again! 🫶
Also really liked Park as Diew — he’s adorable too! Though I wasn’t the biggest fan of the blonde hair 🙈 Sooo happy he’s back to his natural black hair in Me and Who — he looks 1000x better with it 🖤✨
Highly recommend this if you're into sweet stories, lovable characters, and a sprinkle of chaos 💫
A Masterpiece That Captures the Reality of Same-Sex Relationships
At first, I was confused by the imagery of the characters walking in a straight line—but by the end, everything made perfect sense. The title, “Life: Love on the Line,” resonates so deeply now. It’s not just a metaphor—it encapsulates the entire journey of Akira and Yuuki, who meet at 17 and grow old together until they’re 82.
I can’t believe this was released in 2020 and I only came across it five years later. This is far from the typical Thai university BL series filled with light-hearted romantic tropes. Instead, it's a deeply mature and realistic portrayal of a same-sex relationship navigating the complexities of life, family, and societal expectations.
Akira was the first to feel attracted to Yuuki, initiating their first kiss. He was drawn to Yuuki from the very beginning. But after living together for 11 years, it becomes evident that Akira faced immense pressure—from both his parents and friends—to lead a so-called “normal” life: marriage, children, and conformity. That inner conflict resonated with me on a deeply personal level. I found myself in tears, overwhelmed with emotion, because I too am in a similar situation. In my early 30s, still closeted, I continue to face pressure from family and friends to marry and start a family, all while hiding who I truly am.
Akira, like many, may have momentarily lost sight of the person who truly loved him—Yuuki. Sometimes, people don’t realize what they have until it’s gone. That realization can come too late.
Many viewers may feel anger towards Akira for leaving Yuuki, but the context matters. Yuuki’s mother was open-minded and supportive, while Akira’s mother was not. Akira simply wanted to be seen as "normal" in the eyes of his family. But in the end, he recognized the mistake he made and showed genuine remorse. His confrontation with his mother was powerful, emotional, and incredibly realistic. He not only stood up for himself but also supported his sister through her own struggles.
It begs the question: Does living a “normal” life truly bring happiness? For many parents, like Akira’s mother, being “normal” means avoiding gossip or judgment. But happiness doesn’t come from fitting in—it comes from being with the person you love, someone you want to spend your life with, regardless of what society expects.
What I loved most about this series was its realism. The chemistry between the two male leads was profound, the storyline was compelling, and every moment felt authentic and powerful. It’s an absolute masterpiece—10 out of 10.
I wholeheartedly recommend this series to everyone. Japanese BL dramas hit differently—they don’t just entertain; they make you feel, reflect, and relate.
A Bold and Steamy Step for Korean BL
Tide of Love is our first Korean BL that leans into BDSM and while it is not as explicit as Thai or Japanese BLs, I still really enjoyed it. I already love both main leads from Sweetheart Service and Myeong continues to impress me with every role. He is tall, handsome and incredibly attractive which makes every scene with him even more captivating. The kiss scenes and the erotic moments are definitely the highlights. They are intimate, well shot and full of chemistry.
My only criticisms are the very weak plot and the editing issues. Some scenes feel mismatched with the audio and the pacing suffers because each episode is only around ten minutes. I wish it were longer because the potential is there.
Despite its flaws, Tide of Love is still a fun, hot and refreshing BL to watch and a bold step for Korean BL content.
Unrequited Love Under the Summer Sky That Doesn't Drag
The first two episodes hooked me right away. I have a soft spot for high school crushes turning into romance, especially when there are unrequited feelings involved, and this series delivered that without wasting time. I was genuinely surprised that Saeki confessed in the very first episode instead of stretching it out for half the season. The story feels simple, light, and refreshing, focusing more on the emotions and awkwardness of adolescence than unnecessary drama. The chemistry between the leads is natural, the acting is convincing, and the soundtrack fits the youthful summer atmosphere really well. I'm always happy to watch another high school BL, and this one has already pulled me in.
I can't wait to see where the next ten episodes take their relationship.
Mystery, Brotherhood, and Adventure at Its Absolute Best
Wow, this series came completely out of nowhere. I was just browsing on iQIYI and stumbled across Archives: The Nanyang Mystery, and what an incredible surprise it turned out to be. This Chinese bromance starring Xin Cheng and Zhou Jie has quickly become one of my favorite series of the year. The production quality is outstanding. The cinematography, costumes, visuals, soundtrack, and action sequences all feel incredibly polished. Every episode pulls me deeper into its world, blending Action, Thriller, Historical, and Mystery elements perfectly. There is also a great balance of adventure, suspense, slight comedy, horror, and conspiracy that keeps the story constantly engaging.
Without revealing too much, the series follows a mysterious investigation that begins with a bizarre case connected to the Zhang family during the Republic of China era. What starts as a dangerous mission gradually unfolds into a much larger mystery filled with secrets, hidden organizations, and unexpected twists. The writing is extremely clever. Every episode leaves me with new questions, but the answers slowly emerge through carefully placed clues, making the journey feel rewarding rather than frustrating.
Xin Cheng continues to impress me after Justice in the Dark. This is his second bromance, and while I wish it could have been a true BL, China's restrictions on the genre do not stop this from being a masterpiece. His chemistry with Zhou Jie is fantastic. The bond between their characters goes far beyond friendship. They constantly protect, trust, and sacrifice for each other in ways that feel deeper than many actual brothers. Their dynamic as polar opposites works wonderfully, and their relationship is easily one of the strongest parts of the series.
The supporting cast is equally strong, especially the skilled and badass female characters who bring even more energy to the story. The teamwork, mentor-mentee elements, smart characters, secret organizations, and intense fight scenes all add to the excitement.
I am only halfway through, but I am already completely invested. Between the mystery, horror atmosphere, thrilling action, emotional character relationships, and fascinating adventure, this series has exceeded all my expectations. If it continues at this level, it will easily remain one of the best shows I watch this year.
Highly recommended. 10/10.
One Drunken Kiss, One Forbidden Summer, and Two Beautiful Boys Who Were Meant to Fall in Love!
I watched the 57 minute movie version of The Summer You Kissed Me on GagaOOLala instead of watching the individual five episodes, and honestly, I am so glad I did because I absolutely cannot stand waiting every week for the next episode! This was such a cute, adorable and surprisingly charming little BL. Wang Chen Rui as Gao Ran, an art student, immediately caught my attention from the opening scene where he is naked and drawing himself while looking into a mirror. Drawing yourself is already difficult enough, but doing it while staring at your own reflection takes some serious skill. And yes, his body definitely made that opening scene even more memorable!
Then Gao Ran meets Chen Zihan as Mosua, and their first interaction instantly turns into clashes, bickering and playful arguments. Their chemistry was so much fun to watch. For Gao Ran, it was basically love at first sight, and I absolutely loved how openly flirtatious and dirty minded he was whenever Mosua was around. It gave his character so much personality and added a really fun charm to their dynamic.
One of my favourite moments was when Gao Ran described Mosua as white and cute like a lychee and then basically said he could not wait to peel his lychee. 😂 That was an absolutely wild line to say, but somehow it perfectly suited Gao Ran!
Then they meet again at a bar, things get complicated, and they end up kissing. It was a drunken kiss, but the chemistry between them was intense and surprisingly passionate. What made it even more interesting was that this was both of their first time experiencing something like this with another man. They were clearly confused about their feelings and what the kiss actually meant to them.
Luckily, Mosua's flight gets cancelled, giving them another chance to see each other. I really enjoyed how the story eventually moved beyond the idea of a one night stand. Their confession towards the end was genuinely adorable because they realised they did not just want that one moment. They wanted each other.
"Can you only kiss me and only me?" 🥹
That line perfectly captured what they were feeling.
Overall, The Summer You Kissed Me is extremely short, but sometimes a short and sweet story is exactly what you need. It is light, cute, romantic and thankfully non toxic, with two gorgeous leads who have great chemistry. I really hope these two actors get the opportunity to lead a full length BL drama together because I would 100% be watching.
If you like good looking boys, love at first sight, rivals to lovers, a one night stand turning into something more, cute romance and a very flirty male lead, definitely put this on your watch list.
Another short but sweet Chinese BL that proves China can still surprise us with something this cute.
A Gripping Psychological Thriller That Never Lets Go
Wow, I was completely hooked from the very first episode to the final moment. The Price of Confession is one of those rare dramas where not a single minute feels wasted. The pacing is tight, the tension never drops, and every episode leaves you wanting more. The two female leads are absolutely outstanding. Their performances are powerful, layered, and magnetic, carrying the entire series with emotional depth and quiet intensity. Watching their dynamic unfold is both thrilling and unsettling in the best way. Every look, every line, and every silence feels deliberate and meaningful.
This drama delivers everything a top tier psychological thriller should. Suspense that keeps you on edge, mystery that constantly shifts your assumptions, the fear of being wrongly accused, and chilling mind games that crawl under your skin. The atmosphere is dark and gripping, yet never confusing or overdone.
What truly elevates this show is how smart and confident it is. It trusts the audience, challenges your judgment, and makes you question what truth really means. By the end, it leaves a lasting impact that stays with you long after the screen fades to black.
A flawless, exhilarating watch and an easy 10 out of 10.
Short, Addictive, and Full of Suspense
The Lie We Lived In proves that a short series can still leave a big impact. At only 20 minutes per episode, every episode ends in a way that makes you desperate to watch the next one. The story follows an assassin forced into a dangerous lie while hiding his identity from a detective, creating plenty of suspense, tension, and mystery without dragging things out.The chemistry between the two leads is excellent, and the romance develops naturally alongside the thriller plot. The kissing scenes were passionate and well done, though I definitely wouldn't have complained if they had lasted a little longer. What really stood out was how the series balanced lies, secrets, and attraction, leading to a satisfying plot twist near the end. A gripping Korean BL that keeps you hooked from start to finish.
Disappointing and Dull: One of 2025’s Worst Japanese BLs
I feel bad saying this, but this series was incredibly boring. I’m more than halfway through, and I’ll probably finish it simply because I dislike leaving dramas unfinished, but honestly, it feels like just another box-ticker to mark as “completed.”The plot is dull, the characters lack chemistry, the casting feels off, and the music does nothing to elevate the experience. I hate being negative, but this has been one of the worst BLs I’ve watched in 2025 and the worst Japanese BL of the year.
Gorgeous Men, Sizzling Chemistry… and a Plot That Did Them Dirty
Okay so... I just finished Exclusive Love and my brain is melting but also mildly raging?? 😭First off, let’s talk visuals. ALL FOUR main guys? Literal walking perfection. Like, did the casting team just raid heaven?? Tang DuZhi and Wang Zhan had me staring at my screen like 🫠 every time they shared a scene. And don’t even get me started on Zhang YiQing and Tu JingHe—those high school flashbacks?? TOO CUTE, I was kicking my feet fr.
And episodes 11 and 12?? MA’AM. The NC scenes were 🔥🔥🔥. Steamy, emotional, intense—the chemistry between both couples was insane. I was living for every second.
One scene that broke me: Tang DuZhi secretly listening to Wang Zhan sing after losing his parents. Like?? The pain?? The love?? He never even told him. I was curled up in a ball sobbing.
BUT—and this is a big but—the plot? Baby what is you doing?? 😩 The whole "he’s a funeral director and he gets kidnapped" angle was… unnecessary. He’s a grown man, why are we doing this? It felt like a weird excuse to get the story rolling.
Also... WHY are both couples acting like they're in a slow-burn soap opera when they've already admitted feelings??? Tang DuZhi and Wang Zhan playing emotional ping-pong, and YiQing still going through with a marriage after confessing to Tu JingHe??? It’s giving frustration. Just kiss and be together omg.
And don’t even get me started on that ending. 12 episodes and they CRAM everything into the finale—confessions, NC scenes, then suddenly both couples are married?? No proposals, no proper resolution?? Girl, I needed at least two more episodes for that emotional payoff!
I’m giving it an 8/10 because the cast and the chemistry CARRIED. But man… this was a waste of such an insanely beautiful cast. Give them a better script next time 😭
A Promising Omegaverse Romance Turned Into My Biggest Disappointment of 2026
I really tried my best to give this series a chance. As one of my most anticipated dramas of 2026, especially with the combination of the Chinese ABO Omegaverse genre and the reunion of Boat and Oat after My Stubborn, I went into this series with extremely high expectations. It honestly felt like it had everything I wanted: a unique concept, a strong pairing, and the potential to become one of the standout BLs of the year. The biggest highlight is definitely seeing Boat and Oat together again. They proved in My Stubborn how strong their chemistry could be, and they remain the strongest part of this series. Oat is great as Phatsa, while Boat perfectly captures Nakhun's commanding presence and cold personality, making him feel like a believable True Alpha. Their individual performances are enjoyable, and I genuinely wanted to see their relationship develop further.
The series also has many strengths. M Flow Entertainment continues to deliver impressive production quality. The visuals are beautiful, the cast looks fantastic on screen, and the soundtrack fits the emotional moments well. The ABO world building is another positive aspect, and I appreciate that Phatsa is portrayed as an Omega who can fight for himself rather than constantly needing to be protected. He has the potential to be a refreshing and strong protagonist.
However, after watching more than half of the series, I have to admit that the weak plot has become impossible for me to ignore. While the NC scenes and the chemistry between the leads are enjoyable, they cannot carry an entire series when the main storyline lacks depth and direction. The story introduces too many characters and side plots that do not add enough value, making the overall narrative feel messy and unfocused. Instead of building excitement, many episodes left me feeling confused and disconnected from the main story.
The biggest disappointment is that the Omegaverse element, which should have been one of the strongest parts of the series, does not feel satisfying enough. The build-up and emotional impact are not as powerful as I expected, especially considering the potential of the concept. The series had all the ingredients to create something intense and memorable, but the execution did not fully deliver.
The intimate scenes were also a mixed experience for me. While I appreciate that the series is trying to embrace the ABO genre, some NC scenes felt more focused on being visually appealing rather than strengthening the emotional connection between the characters. Compared to My Stubborn, where Boat and Oat's chemistry felt much more natural and convincing, their relationship here has not reached the same emotional level for me.
After 6 episodes, I was already struggling to stay invested. By this point, I felt lost due to the number of characters and storylines, and the main plot no longer gave me enough reason to continue. It is disappointing because the potential was clearly there, and the combination of Boat, Oat, and the ABO concept could have created something truly special.
My rating gradually dropped from an initial 10/10 based on expectations, to 9, then 8.5, then 6.5, and finally 4.5/10 after giving the series more time to improve. Unfortunately, the strong production, world building, and great NC scenes were not enough to overcome the weak storytelling.
This has become my most disappointing drama of 2026. I really wanted to love this series, but after giving it my best chance, I have decided to drop it. I still appreciate the effort from the cast and production team, but for me, the story was not strong enough to continue.
A Beautiful Summer Story That I Hope Doesn't Break My Heart
I absolutely love the atmosphere of this series. Every episode captures the feeling of summer so beautifully with its bright colors, peaceful countryside setting, colorful red watermelon fruits and warm sunshine. The family scenes are wholesome, and the fluffy white dog is adorable every time it appears on screen. Like many Japanese BLs, this series finds a great balance between comedy, romance, awkward moments, and everyday life, making it feel relaxing and comforting to watch. The story follows Natsuki, a high school student struggling with university entrance exams after being dumped by his girlfriend. Wanting to help him, his older sister asks her university boyfriend, Sota, to become Natsuki's private tutor. As they spend more time studying together, their relationship slowly begins to change in ways neither of them expected. The pacing is light, heartwarming, and easy to follow, making it a perfect summer watch.
I am more than halfway through the series and, so far, I am really enjoying it. The plot is light, fun, and full of heartwarming family moments.
However, I am not a fan of cheating, especially when it involves a family member. Natsuki admits that he always ends up liking the things his sister likes, but I really hope this series does not use that as an excuse if cheating becomes part of the story.
The sister is honestly one of my favourite characters. She is kind, supportive, and genuinely cares about her younger brother, even introducing her own boyfriend to help tutor him. If Natsuki develops feelings for Sota, and Sota eventually feels the same way, I have no problem with that as long as Sota ends his relationship with the sister first. But if they secretly fall in love, kiss, or start dating behind her back, then I definitely cannot support it. I really hope the story does not go in that direction because I am genuinely invested now and do not want such a good drama to be ruined.
If you enjoy summer settings, light and fluffy romance, family oriented stories, and the unique charm of Japanese BLs, then this series should definitely be on your watch list. So far, it has been a relaxing and enjoyable watch with beautiful visuals, lovable characters, and a comforting atmosphere. I am hoping it sticks the landing because it has all the ingredients to become one of the standout Japanese BLs of the season.
