But how can she care about the male lead’s feelings while also caring about her ex’s feelings!? She’s making the ex think he still has a chance. If they had broken up calmly and mutually, then yes, she could act the way she’s acting now ( I'm of those that don't agree to have any relationship with the ex while dating another) but not after what he did. Yet she still behaves like he’s the love of her life, can’t bear to hurt him, keeps helping him, answers every call from him, gives him her time, and lets him make her look like she’s the cheater and the bad one in the situation, not him. She’s just acting like she’s , be kind and gentle in places that needs to be the apposite is unwise, not show that she's good, like be kind with an abusive person and let them abuse you is stupid .

and yes that love need obstacles but not stupid one like being kind to her ex so ml has that obstacle to confess, because it's shows that he's only insucure in a way . I dislike this tropes in kdrama always the same in rom-com

She’s the one who gave him the courage to do that because she didn’t set any boundaries with him or show him his true self in the mirror. Instead, she acted like she owed him something, but she act like the one who’s in the wrong, not him

It’s a K-drama I bet before he came back that she would be like this, and it happened, lol. I know K-drama writers all think the same way with these stupid tropes to show the FL as kind and sincere like she doesn’t even hold a grudge against her ex. Then they make the ML jealous, act silly, and tolerate the disrespect from her indirectly toward him, while ignoring his feelings and acting like she can’t reject her ex because he’s her ex that she loved for so long. And, like you said, they make the ex think he still has a chance, so he puts in more effort to fight the ML for her, while she acts innocent, confused, and comes between them to look like the mature one, lol.

Yes, we’re alike in this regard 🙂. I just read your comment from a couple of years ago about a J-drama with a FL and her deaf boyfriend. You mentioned that she spent more time with the SML and even slept at his house or something like that “to help him” 😅😂😂😂. I wanted to thank you because you saved me time — I was searching on Reddit for J-dramas without love triangles, and people recommended that one, but since I don’t really trust J-dramas, I read the comments and found yours ,so I get that it has a love triangle, and the worst kind at that, which I don’t like , fl don't have any boundaries with him tell her co workers think she's dating both 🤡

Unfortunately, another cliché in these kinds of C-dramas is that the FL has a friend or brother she's completely clueless about she doesn’t realize his feelings until he does something bad or the ML points it out. Even then, she still doesn’t believe it. And after she finally knows, she still thinks they can stay friends. I really dislike this cliché in C-dramas. Why do they always write the same thing? It’s like they can’t come up with a different setup for the FL to have a male friend if they just want to show she’s open-minded , or to make the ML jealous because he’s always the cold, straight-faced type so they make him silly a little bit because of love , instead of using this overused trope about the long-time friend who only confesses after she’s with someone else and turn to be the villain !

I’d actually like it if you corrected me if I’m wrong because if I’m wrong, I might watch it. I’ve been waiting for something different for so long. I stopped watching C-dramas because they’ve all started feeling the same.

Sorry, but this FL isn’t the only one who’s strong and outgoing. To be honest, in recent years there are even more strong, outgoing FLs than MLs , the MLs often just feel like support characters, and the story is all about the FL. The MLs are only there to fall for them.

I didn’t watch this one, but I bet that when he falls for her, he changes and acts like every other ML , like a silly teenager in love for first time , whose only priority becomes the FL. He gets jealous and make fun of himself , chases her after she stops chasing him, and basically loses his own character. From your comment, I get that she’s the one who starts flirting with him (if she even likes him ), probably doing that for something she wants from him , before he falls for her because she did that thinking she's liking him , and later she also falls for him. Because honestly, there are very few FLs who fall in love first and even if they do they don't fall harder .

I hope I’m wrong, because I’d really like to see a different kind of plot not the same tropes where the ML’s only purpose after falling in love is to make the FL happy, save her, sacrifice for her, get jealous, and fight the SML because of her. I prefer when he stays true to his personality from start to finish, shows love maturely, and doesn’t turn into an insecure, shy teenager every time she flirts with him or tries to get intimate or saying her with other men .

My opinion is that they deserve more — they shouldn’t even be allowed to think about what they did while in prison to satisfy themselves again with it. For me, that’s what their punishment should be. But only a few countries in the world actually do that; others only do it if the victim is underage, and some only if he’s a serial rapist.
I did some research, and in China they give them three to ten years!!

Yes, you're right. Unfortunately, it drive you crazy when you think about how the brain remembers things through smells and sounds. So imagine what it’s like with touches!! a victim of rape who just wants to be intimate with her husband like any other woman, but when she tries, she gets the worst flashbacks. She can only hide it, or else she’ll never be able to have anything close to a normal life and will have to live with it.
I really feel sorry for them, and I can’t even watch it in shows. Even in shows that don’t actually show the scenes, I still skip the parts that lead to it. 😔

3) Yes, but it’s frustrating to watch even when it’s not about making him worship her because unfortunately, in most romances, they always make the male leads the ones doing everything in the relationship. (There are exceptions to this rule, like Hidden Love, Princess and Lighter, and a few other dramas.)

4) I just don’t remember the names of many C-dramas where the MLs think like that, but I’ll search for them and let you know. I’ve stopped watching C-dramas recently because of the imbalance in relationships between the leads mostly the MLs love unconditionally, while you can feel that the FLs just like them because they love them so much.

one of the he most horrible crimes, in my opinion (as a man), is rape. I really don’t know how a victim can move on from it or how her husband could, either. I honestly can’t even imagine how I would respond if it happened to someone I know. For sure, the criminal wouldn’t be alive to tell the story that’s the least I can say. But emotionally, I can’t think of any way to erase that fact from the victim’s or the husband’s mind, or to keep their lives from becoming a living hell because of it. I know I wouldn’t have the ability to do that. I also don’t watch any dramas or movies about it, because I can’t stand how lightly they treat the criminals or those who help cover up the crime like people who stop the victim from speaking out or protect the rapist. At the very least, all of them should go to prison, and the criminal himself should be sentenced to life in prison give him Three years in prison and go out and do it again or even take revenge on the victim, and this happened in many countries (since, by law, they can’t give him the death penalty ) And I also think that women who lie about being raped just to get money or ruin a man’s life should go to prison for that. They completely destroy someone’s life with their false allegations and still get away with it, acting like they didn’t do anything wrong and unfortunately, they usually don’t face any real consequences.
