The teacher saying “You think it’s love? Qin Nan sees SiBei as his religion.” Qin Nan saying that she’s…
I don’t think you’ve watched many C-dramas or K-dramas! , lol, because 90% of the ml and even some sml are like that they do anything for FLs and tolerate everything the FL does. Even if she breaks up with him multiple times, he still chases her, or he’ll stay single and celibate for years while she’s maybe dating and doing other things. And when she comes back, he’ll still chase her, lol. So him doing this is normal by C-drama standards, and the majority of viewers like it and call mls like him a green forest man 😅🥲
and here i am falling for the same trope for the 93839393 time lol so what
I completely agree with you, and that’s exactly what I’m saying. I stopped watching C-dramas and K-dramas because the male lead always does everything in the relationship. And that cliché about the second female lead always being evil is another frustrating one. They make the second male lead more perfect than the main lead, but the second female lead is always portrayed as evil 😅😅.
I also like slice-of-life dramas more, but I don’t enjoy the melodramatic ones they’re everything except romance. It’s always that kind of “romance” where one has to sacrifice something for love. For example, I disliked My Liberation Notes because they were always so distant physically, mostly just talking, and there was a time skip too. If I remember correctly, there were only a couple of hugs (or even less) in the whole drama 😒. And even after the time skip, they didn’t hug or kiss they acted like they’d just met for the first time again. She was always shy, and he was way too calm 🥶🥶🥶🥶.
I watched Because This Is My First Life and liked it, but I really disliked the ending that unnecessary breakup and time skip before getting back together. It was such a useless cliché that only wasted time. It would’ve been so much better if they had just shown the couple growing stronger together. (I also disliked the second male lead 😒 even in this drama they give fl two good men to chose between 😅🥲.)
I didn’t watch Summer Strike.
Some of my favorite dramas are Road Home (C-drama), Meet Yourself, Forever and Ever (C-drama), and One Spring Night (K-drama) I like calm slice-of-life stories with a good plot, few silly clichés, and where both the male and female leads put equal effort into the relationship.
and here i am falling for the same trope for the 93839393 time lol so what
sorry for the paragraph rants 😅😂 I forget myself when I write about this double standard in Cdrama and kdrama 😅😅😶🌫️
Mistreated!? Where!? In Western shows!? I bet they have more women cheaters than men in American shows (and there are even some shows where both cheat, like the disgusting Grey’s Anatomy). And I know more men forgive cheating wives than the opposite in Western shows.
In Asian dramas (Korean and Chinese), yes, you’re right FLs are not mistreated, but instead they reverse it and make men look like support characters to make women happy in those shows (what the majority of viewers call “green forest MLs”). But they never call FLs that, because they don’t write them the same way they write MLs and that’s my problem , why only man has to be like that ?.
It’s not what you understood from my joke about bringing masculism. And masculism is not misogyny that’s like saying feminism is men-hating!
If you read what I wrote at the end (and what I always say), it’s that I want equality in relationships not this pattern where MLs always fall first and unconditionally, sacrifice everything for FLs, and are often portrayed as virgins while FLs have trauma or exes and need the ML to be their happy pill and tolerate them to get healed .
In K-dramas and C-dramas, especially rom-coms, they make comedy by turning men into silly characters getting hit, falling down, acting jealous and insecure about whether the FL likes them or the sml so they end up acting stupid in front of the SML. And let’s not even talk about FLs slapping MLs like it’s the best solution, or stabbing them in ancient C-dramas 😂🥲.
I just don’t like how they write men in dramas. I feel they’re not equal to FLs in any way, unfortunately they only win fls on being more green forest than them 🥲😒 All I want is equality between them where both change because of love, both act silly, both get jealous, both sacrifice and fight for each other, and both fall unconditionally in love not just the MLs.
and here i am falling for the same trope for the 93839393 time lol so what
I'm waiting for the day they reverse this trope when they make the male lead has an ex, and both the female lead and the second female lead fight for him, while he’s focused on more important things like his dream or something 😅😂. Then he takes revenge on his ex by dating the sweet fl , who cooks for him, takes care of him, and loves him unconditionally 😅😅. Later, he breaks up with her for her good or because the contract marriage get exposed , but she still chases after him, and he has a close friendship with the second female lead that makes the first one jealous. In the end, they get back together and have a happy ending 😅😂
this will happen when the feminism end and start the masculinism movement 😂😂😂😂 because in kdrama and Asian dramas in general ( in rom-com shows) are just there to be in love with fl and chase after her even when she break his heart many times and disrespect him 😂😅😅.
I know this will never happen, because TV shows and dramas—especially romance—are mostly watched by women. So they always use the same plots and stories that make female leads look better than male leads, acting like they’re the prize men have to fight for.
Sorry for the rant, I just needed to let out my opinion about this.
It was like this in the past too, when they made male leads abusive or red flags, and female leads would still fall for them and suffer. They just don’t know how to make truly equal romance dramas (there are a few exceptions, but not enough)
and here i am falling for the same trope for the 93839393 time lol so what
And that’s why they don’t need to make their brains work to find good plots about rom-com, because the majority , like you, love these same tropes and don’t want any new good plots. So why would they ever change what makes them money? They just need to have good actors do the same thing, and that’s it no creativity needed, and it still sells. 😂😅
Could be better if the FL was not crushing on the SML so bad for like 3/4th of the show (that too due to a misunderstanding…
I dropped it because of that, especially when she was imagining the second male lead while sitting with the male lead — that was enough for me. She was always cursing him and being disrespectful toward him just because she thought the second male lead was the perfect man, and even when the male lead didn’t do anything wrong, she still saw him as evil. and I don't know how he fall for her and she's crushing on his friend
is they have many scenes with each other like she has with m!? l and is there jealousy scenes only for ml or also…
Thank you for answering. I dropped it. I watched 4 episodes, but I didn’t like how she was rude to him and always compared him to her crush. That scene when she was imagining her crush made me drop the drama (I hate something called a love triangle , specially when it's the friend or brother of the ml 😅)
I'm watching episode 4 right now, and I don’t understand how the ML can like the FL when she keeps disrespecting him, cursing him, and comparing him to her crush all the time. How could he still like her after knowing that she likes his friend? And that scene where she imagines her crush while looking at the ML is just disgusting , it’s hard to believe he’ll fall for her later and not remember that she did that. I know it might seem like I’m making a big deal out of it to some people, but honestly, from a man’s perspective, it’s really disrespectful and humiliating to like someone who has feelings for someone else especially when that someone is your friend and she clearly thinks so highly of him.
I regret I downloaded all the episodes thinking this will be any different from other jdrama about this stupid love triangle cliche especially when it's an 8 episode drama.
Why are people review bombing on a romcom drama. Do they expect this drama to be on level of my dearest, my mister…
about the 7 point, I read that she had a crush on the sml for more than half of the drama and I watch some clips of ml get jealous of her sitting with someone I guess he was sml !? is that not love triangle!? thanks ( I dislike love triangle cliche the most😅🙂)
ML role — to be in love with FL and nothing else, just worshipping her and always doing whatever she wants or orders 😂. I watched a clip yesterday where he was coming to meet her, and she said, “No, I’m with my friends, I can’t see you. Go, we’ll meet tomorrow, and I’ll sit next to you then,” 😂 and he acted like he was mad, but a second later he accepted it and said, “Sorry, I was late to respond to you.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 This is the second or third K-drama where I’ve noticed he likes to act like this like teenager in love without any dignity or personality just do everything to make fl like him and never make her mad and always follow what she likes, but she has more important things and he's just there to comfort her , and a prize for her failed relationship , and to satisfy her in other things 😅🙂,
Oh my gosh I love the FL (and ML ofc). The way she “innocently” calls everyone out on their hypocrisy and…
so she's not one of those hypocrite towards him !? I read she lie to him and she used him for what she wants!?
a question about love rival, is it a man or a woman!? and is it a big character so it's love triangle or it's just for making things a little harder, thank you
I’m sure she drag him with all her strength to her horse even if she have to died , just like the lil kid Yao…
What do you think!? It’s a Cdrama, so of course, women being as strong or even stronger than men is considered normal and totally fine. You see, the ML is so powerful he can lift a grown man off the ground with one hand and kill him with a single finger like it’s nothing — which is mind-blowing if you know how much strength that actually takes. But then, somehow, he gets beaten up and has his nose broken by the FL, and he can’t even defend himself 🤯. And when he shocks her, suddenly he has zero strength can't even shown on her that he use any. So yeah, this makes no sense on any level — just watch and say, Sure, it’s adrenaline or it's something enigma ,😂.
