Not surprised but disappointed lol This has only 10 episodes and the main couple's relationship isn't even established…
And plus, the way she treated her ex — first, she didn’t even want to breathe the same air he did, but then she’s suddenly going to Japan with him, laughing and reminiscing about their memories, treating the male lead like he’s nothing and ignoring him. And she forgives her ex like he never did anything wrong."

This male lead is officially in my top three biggest simps I’ve ever seen in a drama. He has no dignity or personality—just a simp who likes being treated like 💩, begging for love, and acting childish to make a joke of himself just to make her laugh and feel special. He worships her even though she doesn’t give a damn about him and is still close to her ex. He honestly gives off the potential of being a great cuckold if she ever decides to go that route—I bet he would accept it.😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

Literally Wei ShaoBorn to be a simp Forced to be a rulerFated to be both 😂
"Finally, someone said it! The majority of comments suggest the male lead's true personality is that he's cold and he doesn't act like a simp , and that the female lead did more and showed more love. I was shocked because in C-dramas like this , it's usually impossible for the female lead to love the male lead more or act like a traditionally submissive wife, or for the male lead not to love her unconditionally. I get that in this kind of drama, the minimum expectation is for the male lead to love the female lead unconditionally, always apologize, and focus all his thoughts on making her happy and pleased. Even if it's something he didn't like, he still changes to be what she likes, LOL."

They changed it for TV censorship. In the novel there was never a one year mourning period. They were constantly…
Yes, she should take the lead and show that she wants it too. It shouldn’t always be the man who has to take the first step and ask her to do it. Men like it when the woman does her part — not when she’s the leader from the start and he acts like he doesn’t know anything!

Also, I misunderstood the scene because I didn’t watch it completely — I skipped through it since I planned to watch it properly later while watching the drama. 😅

Thanks! If it’s like you said, then it’s actually a good scene, and there’s nothing wrong with it.

Ah, thanks! I get it now. So the year is the time when they are still enemies! They use that time to get to know each other and fall in love. That’s more acceptable than making him wait while they already like each other. And there are many traditional things from that time that they don’t follow, so I wonder why they should follow just this one 🤣😅🤣 thanks
Have a good night!

thank you, I didn't watch it it's just from reading reviews, because I like to know the spoilers before start watching a drama , because I hate love triangle and sad ending and one of mls do everything in the relationship and the other just receiving, and also hate simping and simps lol so I need to do a search before start 😅🤣 thanks

and what fl did !? is she like other smart fls that don't even know about his feelings and act like his close friend indirectly making ml act silly because of jealousy like they use in many Cdramas!?

ah I think you're wrong about that no one of them in love, because I read many reviews saying ml fall first sight just didn't act on it because she's his enemy , I just read it I don't if it's true

Thank you. But did she do that because she truly loved him, or just to win him over and stop him from taking revenge?

I saw a scene of them together, but I didn’t like it—because the ML was under her, and she was the one taking the lead. It looked like she had the upper hand in the relationship, and even in the bedroom too 😅🤣. She didn’t even let him be a man or at least act like one, especially after he waited a whole year for that moment( I know majority of viewers are women so they like it because of the same reason I dislike it ) 🤣😅🤣

Thank you again, and sorry for bothering you!

Good morning, I watched second time from the beginning to end. So, I can watch what did I missed first time watch…
You watched it, so I think you might know the exact episode where the FL falls for him, says it to herself, and starts trying to show it—do you know? I read that the ML fell for her at first sight but didn’t say anything because of the circumstances. Also, in which episode do they start acting like a real married couple? I heard they didn’t have any intimacy until more than a year into their marriage—is that true?

thank you

In ep 36 when WS and BZ fight, I don't think WS lost to BZ actually, but it seemed like WS didn't want to fight…
So now he's protecting the family that cowardly refused to protect his own family, and he's acting like a good son-in-law but a failed son to his dead father and others! How can someone change from being a good son to a bad one just because he fell for a woman? But of course, they make it all about the FL, so she gets all the praise! It's a FL-centric drama for a reason.

In real life, at the very least, he wouldn’t have a relationship with them, nor would he respect the coward who didn’t help fight the enemy out of fear. But now the ML has to protect them—even if it puts him in danger, and even his own family—just to show how amazing the FL is for "changing" him!

Please tell me they at least appreciate him for doing that, and that they sincerely apologize and thank him like he deserves… not just ignore his sacrifice 😮‍💨

so you telling me in the drama she didn't sleep with him for more than a year and she rejecting him !? so he looks like he's the only one who wants it and she didn't!?

That’s not admiring — that’s something else. Drawing her and dreaming about her isn’t admiration, lol. He’s gaslighting, and the male lead just accepts it!? 😅 Good for him. So the male lead is supposed to be okay with other people trying to take his wife and acting like they're just friends with her!?

Sorry, a quick question please:
In episode 27, have they still not confessed to each other? Are they still acting like it's just a political marriage, or do they live like a real married couple? Have they had any intimate scenes yet, or does that only happen after he comes back from the war and the tunnel incident I read about? Thank you!

is she close to wei Yan !? so ml will misunderstood or she have boundaries with him and not act like she's his…
I know she has no feelings for him and is just friendly with him — not like with the male lead. I was just speaking in general. I bet in this one too, they’ll probably make it seem like she doesn’t see anything wrong with how he acts because he likes her, and the male lead will notice — like you said — or he’ll find that drawing he made. But he won’t say anything because he hasn’t confessed his own feelings yet.

What I dislike is how she’s so smart and can command armies, yet she can’t tell how someone feels about her. Meanwhile, she can read her enemies perfectly and always stays one step ahead of them 😅. I find that illogical. But maybe, like you said, it’s still early, and he hasn’t shown anything obvious yet. I just hope she turns out to be different from other female leads.

One question, please: in which episode does she actually start to fall for the male lead? I read that he like always fall for her at first sight but doesn’t say anything because of the past! So, when does she start liking him for real — not just pretending to be a good wife because of her plan?

Thank you, and sorry for bothering you

And again, the FL — like always — is supposed to be so smart, on Sun Tzu-level , but she doesn’t realize anything and still acts friendly with him!? Unfortunately, this is the illogical thing in C-dramas: they make FLs so smart, but they have zero clue when another man likes them. They don’t consider the ML’s feelings when acting like that. I bet she’ll still stay close to him like family even after she finds out. And the ML? He acts all silly, jealous, and constantly insecure 😅😮‍💨 I really dislike these clichés in dramas. thank you

Title The Prisoner of Beauty Spoiler
I read in a review that the grandfather of fl who killed ml father and others!? is it true or I misunderstood!!?…
And after all this, the ML still respects them and talks to them like they’re his friends!? I really don’t get how they can make the ML give up revenge—or at least cut ties with them—just because he loves the FL, and forget that his father, brothers, and a lot of his clan died, while not one of them helped or even tried!!? And I read the FL always puts her family first, even over him! But he has to forget her family’s betrayal and even respect her grandfather!? A coward who let his friend's family get killed!!?

If I watch this, I’ll get really frustrated because I could never forget someone who betrayed me and my family, especially someone who called me a friend—and then later I’m supposed to respect him!? I would rather die than ever do that. 😮‍💨

But the ML—just because of a woman—completely changes and starts trusting her and respecting her grandfather and family, and even respects her for always putting her family first!? And he also forgives her easily for hiding the tunnel from him, just because she didn’t trust him—even after they got together!!? They really wrote him as weak for doing that, and then they used his grandma to make him feel free from guilt!?

At least he cut ties with them and didn’t become family with them just to please the FL.

Thank you—if I read the plot right, then this is definitely not something I’d watch. I hate stories where strong male generals with a mission change everything just because they fall for a woman who didn’t even trust them until near the end. And he ends up loving her completely like a loser, giving up revenge, changing his personality, and acting submissive and pathetic in love. 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

Sorry for the rant. and thank you for answering
