I've got to ask...what is with the stupid laugh by all of those men, not a haha funny laugh, but that laugh. I've noticed it in so many kdramas, but it was really a lot in this one.
It's 2024 and I am still waiting for a drama between ji chang wook and Yoon ah just because of how their sizzling…
I agree. The stepmother was an evil witch who only cared about herself. Je*ha said to her that she only wanted him to be her puppet, which was so true there never would have been anything substantial between them. Someone previous mentioned how weak the FL was. Well, sure she was, she was a child when she was accused of killing her mother, then rushed off to a convent where apparently she was never allowed any outside contact and by the way, no clothing either because each time she ran away she was in night clothes, she was used as a pawn by everyone except Je-ha, of course she's weak, shy and introverted.
waiting for the "bad guy" to grow a mustache that he can twirl and start rubbing his hands together as he thinks of another way to sabotage the ML, so far in epi 10 he hasn't gotten his son involved, but I can see that coming any minute now. I have a hard time thinking that the ML doesn't suspect him of all the bad stuff. Ended up having to go back a few epi because I couldn't figure out who took the pictures and who posted them, found out, but what is amazing is that the FL still was friends with that scummy guy. Why? Whose worse, the father or the son?
I gotta ask, why do any of these main characters ever listen to the advice of friends. OMG, the friends give the worst advice which then drags the show out for 2 or 3 more epi than it needs to be.
I've seen a lot of comments that its similar to Descendants of the Sun, but I think it also has some elements…
this is my second time watching and I see absolutely no similarity between it and Descendants, except that the FL is a doctor. DOTS is funny and dramatic/
started out not liking the little sister/cousin of the ML, but she turns into one of my favorite characters. She is bold and brave and doesn't let the FL's mother get away with anything and she's funny. The FL's adoptive mother is a horror show of her own, I want to wipe that sharky smile off her face every time I see it. Love epi 30 when the Qin Qin finally stands up to her mother choses Song Yan. I love seeing the plastic face of her mother droop when the Qin Qin steps toward Song Yan and tells him she loves him. I love his family, they are concerned because of the way it ended last time, but they are willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and bring her back into the family and love her. I love the growth of Qin Qin after she leaves the domineering parents. I wish the father had taken his b**** out of his wifes purse and helped both of their children learn to live happy healthy lives instead of letting the toxic mother direct them.
not many folks liked this, I did. I'm a real fan of Ming Dao. On YouTube the title to this is The Perfect Encounter. I'm watching for the 2nd time. the old girlfriend is definitely a bunny boiler.
How did this show make a rich, conceited, spoiled woman likeable from so early? I just started this show and was…
that's my question, how do they make her likeable. I'm at the epi where he takes her to get her passport and all I can think is that she is the most selfish inconsiderate woman, she forgets that she's not in the South any longer, she's not the princess in the North.
watching this for the first time because I got so many recommendations for it. Love the two leads, looking forward to getting through it. Edit: someone please tell me she becomes less selfish and inconsiderate soon, I think I'm on epi 5. This man is taking his career and his life into his hands taking care of her and she's so inconsiderate. She seems to forget she's not the princess in North Korea that she is in the South.
watched it for the second time. One of the reviewers called it Perfection and they couldn't be more right. There is nothing about this series that doesn't draw you in and make you anticipate the next epi.
I want to love this because I love JCW, but watching these people in the hospice is almost to much for me. I held my husbands hand as he died with the help of Hospice and I really don't know if I can watch this at all. I think I may jump back to either K2 or Healer.
Just finished, and honestly it was a decent series. People complained about the swimmers they were "actors" not swimmers, well, guess what, Bruce Willis wasn't a cop, and he didn't save the Nakatomi building in Los Angeles at Christmas time. So, yes, there may have been some inconsistency with them swimming, but what do you expect. For those of us who weren't/aren't competitive swimmers, it looked ok to us. The series was probably longer than it needed to be was my only complaint, oh and I didn't get to see Mom after the two leads got together, she would have been a riot when she found out she was getting the daughter in law of her dreams.
question for those of you that have watched. The creepy brother, stalker guy Lin Zi...what is his deal, the only interaction he had with the FL was that she picked his drunk butt up off the street and took him to the hospital and that is why he is now basically stalking her? I'm on epi 18 and still can't get more of it than that, and the guy from the other team who seems to be some how involved with Lin Zi's sister. What is their deal, because his father also seems to be involved?
ikr!! irl i think such characters will be so annoying. why can't they just make FL a normal or smart. geez.
unfortunately I saw a video of someone asking men on the street questions and one of the questions was about the little girl act and that was one of the things Asian men liked the best. I'm in the US, I can't imagine any man getting all atwitter over a woman acting and speaking baby talk, but apparently its really attractive in the east.
