I think majority are complaining not because it is there but it has become excessive, more importantly it is leading to lazy writing, redundant scenes, lack of creativity in staging scenes between 2 characters. Drinking is kculture most understand that but now the alcohol is contributing to poor drama quality that is more bothersome than the drinking itself.

why has it become like this. kdramas from even 5 years ago never used alcohol like this, it has become a plague now.

Drama started strong with very pleasant/likable/relatable lead characters who had healthy conversation and endearing interactions, but everything around them is ridiculous. The mystery involving the medical negligence of ML is not well researched by the writer it makes no logical sense from crime or legal POV, the side characters maybe the SML can get a pass but everyone else add nothing substantial to the overall plot. Ratings are inflated because of the popularity of the leads especially PHS you cannot fault his acting.

I really wanted to like this drama because the acting was decent and the actors had great chemistry but the foundation of their romance had no logic. Yes love has no logic and normally that is good enough premise but not here, when you have taboo relationship one as sacred as love between teacher and student audience needs a reason to break our own personal moral codes to root for this couple. He loved her at first sight chalk that up to hormonal teenager why did she like him back? I am your bloom did this premise better with solid motivations, unfortunately not here.

it is not that old dramas are rated low, it is more that the new dramas are rated too high. the current trend is overinflated ratings that does not accurately represent the quality of a drama. this complaint that old dramas have toxic characters, no they are not people are flawed it is a journey we see them change, grow and adapt it is not who they are that matters it is who they become, but now in the new dramas god forbid ML or FL does anything questionable they have to start perfect and become more saint like. old dramas did not shy away from showing human fragility, real people do terrible things make mistakes but nowadays audience does not have patience for that everything has to be a fantasy.

This part we see in a lot of Korean historical dramas, because the king despite being absolute monarch does not enjoy the kind of power Chinese emperors or Japanese emperors had, the way left minister talked would have sentenced him to death in a chinese court, there was even a ridiculous scene where the left minister just walked up to the king and casuallly touched him which is a NO NOOOOO. Joseon kings are generally showcased as weaklings who seemed to fear the court officials, this is probably true historically that is what makes kdrama kings so lame.

I concur the acting by both the leads is sub par, especially the ML. The drama dragged a lot, FL motivations to lie for as long as possible is unbearable to watch.

I remember watching this drama and thinking she is the most unbearable FL ever, lies upon lies upon lies upon lies and there was no need for most of them. ML begs her to the tell the truth and even when there is no need to lie she is lying for 30 episodes. Writers use misunderstandings conveniently to stretch a plot and if done well it is bearable for some time but in this drama it is the worst you just want to break the FL head. I would not recommend this drama.

They had a beautiful chemistry

What is the deal with her so called friend, why is she so unkind. First she is not sensitive to the mental state of her friend nor is sincere in her gestures her attitude is nonchalant, why reveal what the other doctor said to your friend. She just met the other man how is she more loyal to his request which ultimately caused her friend pain, when you know your friend is suffering depression should you not be careful of your words.

people need to readjust their rating after they finish the full drama. most of us rush to rate something that starts good only for it to crash and burn later, as it stands right now drama is around a 7/10 or less rating.

This drama got the memo, most kdramas dragging to 16 and ruining the end but not knight flower it finished early, on a high and covered all its bases. Very good drama, sweet romance, comedy, watchable characters, great performances.

This drama is an underrated gem for romantic genre lovers. Yes FL is bratty but she is clever, resourceful, naughty, loyal, loving wife why are we so harsh on women anytime they show flaws and the ML is perfect with no flaw. They have a beautiful falling in love journey, a healthy relationship, like any other married couple they have arguments. The overall plot of this drama is not good but the romance, chemistry, moments between them are all beautiful some of the best you will see in any drama.

Japan needs to give us access to their Japanese Dramas/Movies they make it so hard for international viewers. I know they have strict laws against piracy but this is so bloody frustrating if they don't put them up on any legitimate streaming sites we are forced to watch them pirated.

I think 8 is fair, 8.4 will be generous. but the drama falls part in the second half hence the low rating.

If the major criticism against this drama is that the leads are not smart, I would qualify that as this drama's biggest strength, because they are one of us. They are not meant to be super geniuses, but the ML is a genius with his photographic memory that is why I found FL is the more relatable person because if I was in her shoes I would be even more stupider than her panic and keep dying. The FL is brave till her last breath and as she learns we learn with her.
