Reason I don't think PM is a killer is because kdramas rarely turn SML into psychos they like the audience struggle, second PM would be the dumbest man on planet to use such a weak human to carry out a such a dangerous task, she will get caught easily which means he will get busted and he has too much to loose, lastly PC is relatively straightforward we only have 4 more episodes there is not much time to have too many villains.

Audience complicate the plot in our heads with overanalyzing the unknowns. We are stewing in predicting multiple events are caused by different characters creating a tangle webby mess, past deaths are this reason, who started that fire, car crash by this dude, poisoning by someone else, contract is who knows who. But it might not be such a complicated mess and might come together for a singular reason/person. I am holding out hope.

On a philosophical note, what Aide Choi said he is the luckiest person in the world to grow up in the palace, but if you ask I-An, his late brother the king, and even QM they would confess palace walls are a prison sentence. They have everything to make their life meaningful, be happy, be content but instead they are a miserable bunch. I-An's ability to be happy is ruined because of his father, king's peace/life is destroyed because of obligations thrust upon him which he is not capable of, QM is a pawn to fulfill a singular purpose. So the question is not what you have or don't have, it is about free will, it is who surrounds you that helps you thrive, and the choices you make for yourself.

Her father calls her greedy and wants a man that is beneath her someone she can dominate, but that is not who she is or what she wants. She is not greedy to want what she is deserving of, her father sees her confidence as a bad quality, so how can he judge what kind of man will make Huiju happy. By now I-an's staff and cats understand her better than her father.

I agree he not making a play for the throne is a tactical move not because he is scared. He loves his nephew he doesn't want to steal the throne and traumatize the child. His play for the throne is for some righteous reasons like, protect his brother's son, he is more capable to rule, he has reform plans that is in betterment for everyone. I don't know if he planned to use the marriage as leverage for the throne, or is this some side quest. For me it feels like 2 parallel goals for him.
