Agreed! This is my favourite genre. I'm so excited for this (and I loved Moving and it's characterisations).

This hasn't put me off watching older dramas and movies. I'm open to watching anything that looks/sounds interesting. I've actually now seen the rest of the Liar Game series.

Without making excuses for DH, I think it’s more complicated than that. His one chance to escape his father (sitting that exam) fell through. I image he was offered help by HH which he took because he had limited options, not knowing that it would keep him beholden to HH. He doesn’t seem comfortable in that lifestyle. I may be misreading things but their dynamic does not look equal to me. We see how money and power gives people control over those not on their level. Look at the mother of the student flexing her power over DH. We simply can’t ignore the setup of that society and the choices it leads desperate people to make in order to survive, or in order to have a shot at their dream. But of course this is all speculation on my part, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I was waiting for someone to bring this up but I see that no one has, so I am going to mention it here. The very last scene with the SatNav showing the destinations of the Taekwondo gym and HH's law firm; what do we think that means? Did JY go to see HH before meeting DH at the end of episode 6? Did HH reveal something that gave JY a better understanding of what is going on with DH? It must be significant for them to linger on that shot, right?!

Completely agree, although I think they lost the plot with IPYTM. ITSAY, is in my opinion, as close to a perfect BL as I've ever seen.

Same. I have so much empathy for the characters. To me everything makes sense and the actions and developments are in line with the characters so far. I think I understand what it's about and where the story is going.

In the case of this BL I don't think the explanation provided in episode 5 is exactly truthful. I think DH is still holding back the truth and there is more to why DH cut ties with JY and that it has something to do with HH and the missing 12 years. I may be wrong, in which case you'd be right in your assessment. We shall see.
