He Yu is excellent. There are a few characters I would love to see him play;though I'll be content to just to see more of him. But jesus, yeah, as far as back to back rewatches go ... I'm a bit embarassed tbh 🤣
Missing this show soooo sooo much. I'll wait until 2025 before a new rewatch so it's even better haha ❤️

Oh definitely. It's probably the first time I've bothered to check it out in depth. But now I wonder why we don't see it much in dramas? Like it's an awesome skill for a character 😁

"Belly breathing" is a foundational aspect of VQ. There other breath controls techniques which are utilized but it's kinda foundational to all. So, with regard to realism moving belly isn't a question of faith. Anyway, I'm going to take a guess that this field developed independently around the time began and in different places. Obviously now entertainment business is taking it to another level but given some training and time to practice I'd say anyone should be able to hold a Q&A session with a statue well enough to fool a bunch of kneeling people.
As for the explanation as to why people thought that, well, if I was an educated person of the time and saw a completely still person emanating sounds without moving lips, jaw, etc. And the only thing I see is a moving stomach... I'd say yeah he is speaking with his stomach. Although, there are records of people could make sound appear to emanate a few metres away from them. It's possible they were mezzo's, contraltos or some weird baritones or something but I don't discount help from demons 🤣.
Anyway, explanation isn't wrong it's really what they believed was going on. Luckily now we don't have to be ordained into some priesthood before it's revealed to us how an oracle really speaks.
In fairness it was pretty good. good dose of humour. Unusually the character growth was happening outside of the novel. Nice touch to have modern setting at the start of each episode. So, really no magic here. Good show.
Loved all seasons. I don't normally watch dramas in modern setting. But I had to make an exception here. Maybe just a little bit too sweet and I would've been OK if it ended in S3... Anyway I might have to check my testosterone levels but for me it was a good experience.
"Literally nobody did anything to him" ... come on now . He was literally stripped of his identity. LCF was just…
I was convinced up to the very end that LCF is going to end up with Miss Gu. They seemed to be very compatible and I was very surprised when they are not taking this route. Overall I thought they tried to cover too many types of relationships in one go thus giving no necessary depth to any of them. Anyway we have what we have. Cheers.

It looks like you understand that he has reasons but you just don't think that they are good enough. That's fair.
Luckily they didn't show their siblings background because I've had more than enough of others' backstories.
Anyway, the problem with LCF character I see is that although crazy but just not evil enough. Because once he realised that she slipped away and his position on top is also untenable he should've killed her. If he really wanted to keep her alive then yeah he'd need to kill the general. Reasonable thing to do here would've been to kidnap her and lock her up in some far away cave first.

"His dad wanted to return his real name", that's wonderful but a little too late?
Actually it's cruel beyond belief. So when FL's identity needed to be hidden he's like his son. But when her identity isn't needed to be hidden anymore yeah here you go your real name isn't Cuí it's some Hui instead.
"did you watch the show" Yes. Check earlier comments. Probably more times than you did.
"he did poison the dad" General Cui isn't his dad,
"The dad and FL treated him like real family" they were using him to hide the fact that General didn't have a son.
I do not appreciate how the fate of Miss Gu turned out. She was not a bad character but she was just misused by…
I agree. Miss Gu going crazy was just wrong. She should've been killed or given a happy end with someone else. LCF is also used for contrast as well. Personally I don't think they should've dug that deep. But yeah herself being crazy in the end really annoys me even now.
Anyway, she's afraid of water but she can swim .
