LCF was just an avatar for General Cui's daughter to the point that he can't even remember his original name. So he is a scarecrow to hide Cui Lin's identity. Himself being in charge of some stuff or being treated like a son for external audience means very little.

Him going ... just a tad ... to the evil side would've been kidnapping FL and keeping her in some basement for the next 10 year. And no he didn't poison his own father, etc,.

Is he a psycho ... yes. Is he ungrateful/unreasonable ... no.

It was just about alright. Never thought I'd be taking breaks mid episode of a mini series, but yeah here we are. Still, the casting was pretty good overall.

Same girl but don't know about the screenwriter. It's a bit cheesier than this but it has the best super villain with evilest of evil plans.

Granted that it has some properties of a cliffhanger but at least this major section is over.

I recall someone saying that JoL had to be finished first.

I thought it was fairly light and pretty easy going. Storyline is well segmented and sometimes feels like a few miniseries. I guess I'm lucky that my experience was very different to Maureen's coz I well enjoyed it 🤣

His mother's killers and Nangong Pu She are from Beiman. So that's there the story will go next. Now it's very different to the novel and ending will be different but I wouldn't be surprised if it will need S3 as well.

E1 is the best E1 out of everything I've seen. But it took me awhile to reconcile with the ending.

Looked great no doubt, but after all that planning to get everyone in one place etc., they almost managed to lose ... 🙄

But it's not a cliffhanger and wrapped up well enough; so even if S2 isn't going to materialize I can live with that.

I miss ranting at him too! I finally went through the drama to edit it down to my fav scenes, and it's so much better without him! However not seeing him means hatred is petering out a bit. Hopefully when I'm going to do a full re-watch my fire of contempt and scorn will rage anew 😂

In most stuff I saw ZLS she had some significance to drive the story. While here everyone other than ML is a support character.
