Wow I didnβt know people were comparing S1 to S2 to the point some are even considering not watching lol. I…
From one point of view it makes no sense to compare the two. Yes it's continuation of the story and I loved it. Also, I knew it was going to be low/lore section so as far as my expectations go S2 exceeded them.
But just my observation: originally I've watched S1 back to back maybe 3 times. And it's one of 5 series which are on my travels so I watch bits and pieces now and again.
Now. S2 finished weeks ago, I still watched it only once. I agree with everything you said about the vibe cleverness etc., also what @EllisT said below. but it's just that consolidation of his position portion is different style and just does interest me as much. So,for me it was like "OK that's how it changed, let's see how they are going to tie everything up in S3". I loved it but so far I didn't desire to watch it again π
Silly apples and oranges comparison overall. But skipping S2 would probably be setting oneself up to hate S3. which makes no sense either.
All the more reason for them to come back again, rebuild it and give us a season 2!!
I think the Gods set the stage for S2. I always felt there was something off about Hulu. Wouldn't be surprised that in S2 it will turn out he was the one controlling liu ming. Like if I was going to believe that he didn't see XZ writing a message in blood ha πit was all part of his plan I tell ya π€£
π yeah that's a normal reaction. Just don't hype yourself up too much either. "Epic love" is a very subjective…
Glad you liked it! I thought it was a great show too. Though I don't recall Marc Chao's dreaminess being one of the aspects I focused on too much.interesting factor to consider π€ π
I remember seeing this a while ago, it was so funny, especially the editing. How does ZLY not laugh?
I'd say she stared at too many green sponges throughout her career to worry about silliness of the situation. Let's add to it at least 3 months estimate from CGI dept suddenly it's no laughing matter at all π
right!!! this needs to be the blue print for drama endings. I am so fβn tired of 5 min or even just open ended…
Oh lol yeah TTEOTM I was going like wtf too :)
Funniest one for me and similar to TSOL though is novoland castle in the sky S2. The main dude was frozen in a lake for a few years.FL kept visiting him. Eventually her tear falls in the lake. He pops out,she gives him a hug he says "who are you? Who am I?" Credits roll. I'm like is he a disabled vegetable now? Is the end happy? is there something deeper?
So yeah like 2 eps for closure is frigging excellent. Though I would've loved to see XZ's child rearing skills π
While rewatching I have one doubt, Shen Li's father can sense her mother's presence at Shen Li's home due to Shen…
I'd chalk it down to him being crazy and confused at the time. In fairness he might not be able to interpret what he is feeling correctly...so he thought he felt the presence of her mother far away when in fact he felt her daughter up close. Because he just didn't know how it's possible.
Checked the novel, there from his fight he only remembered bright lights. So one could say he was sleepwalking through it. He didn't sense his wife far away he just went to the house because that's where he expected her to be. Only when he got there did he start sensing the aura.
haha, did the taxi driver say, i know, i know Mofang is in this scene but i really can't skip now
Lol. I had to check up the book for the piggy scene ended up reading the next 10 chapters. Our cutie's character feels so much... better... than how I got used to him.
The substitution for these scenes is funny but sheβs so cool. I would love to see the piggy one too omg haha
There was no kick or description of piggy's trajectory so I wouldn't be surprised if she got it the first time. "Contact made, looks perfect. money saved is money earned.... tululu..πnext scene.."

loads of them were popping up but never saw one featuring the pig in any way. i expect a green sponge on a rubber band or a green dude with a long stick. but... i would not be surprised to see 25 takes of her kicking a rugby ball π

But on serious note, yeah it's frigging sad.

But, I still think he would be way more interesting if he had Hulu's antlers π
