9 & 9.5 something's a tad off to be a 10 like contained major or minor iritating stuff but not bad enough to start skipping.
10 means "emotionally engaged,entertained, glued to the end, watched many times(at least parts)".
I would not bother to finish or rate anything lower.
If I detect I'm just no in a right frame of mind for something I'd put it on hold.

If my ranking for series starts at 8.5 while others' it's the max they give.
So when someone looks at MDL rating ... what does the value mean? Nothing 😁

Ah yeah she practically doesn't feature in this part of the book in S2 she got more than her fair share. But when she appears it's "all eyez on me" impact. Maybe it's just me.

I think she is perfect in JOL. Her character is like an iron bar in a velvet glove. When s1 came out thought Zhao Ming could've done a good job but now I just don't see anyone else in this role. Very similar to PA too looked like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth but went off the hinges on 3,2,1 ... rampage... in a very believable way.

It's a good scene I loved the way he just echoed back her line. And he definitely knew she suspects him 😂 but that matter of fact kick to end discussion ... priceless
