Annyeonghaseyo, Hajimemashite, Nihao!

Hello, I am (sort of) new in this MDL website**, but not that new in dramaland.

I grew up watching classic mandarin shows and anime.

In the 2000s I was obsessed with South Korean drama & Japanese Dorama.

My first Korean drama was Full House, I watched it while it was airing on TV and I fell in love with the quirky romance between the characters played by Song Hye Kyo & Rain. I love how even in the most serious scenes they could slip in a little comedy.. I guess that's why I mostly watched rom-coms during those times.

Can't remember my first Japanese Dorama. Probably Hana Yori Dango, because I watched the Taiwanese Meteor Garden and I heard it was based on a manga. I adored how the Japanese live-action adaptations tend to be comical and faithful to the original manga. I mean, look at Nodame Cantabille! 

Recently I am re-discovering mandarin shows. I am quite into costume dramas at the moment, but also enjoyed thriller/mystery genre in any timeframe.

Overall, I think I have a casual long-term addictive relationship with Asian dramas. There were some phases in my life when I completely stopped watching them altogether, but somehow I always come back.
