I really loved this Drama and I’m quiet liked the dynamic between Ryu and Johan, even though it was never really defined what they are in my opinion it isn’t really needed. From the start they kind of pulled each other out of the darkness, idk how else to call it, what their life was. In some way we never really needed a indicator what their relationship was because I think it was subtle shown in some ways, For example the scene where Johan ran from Ryu and his sister and then where together in the mud, where he said that he didn’t want Ryu seeing him like this, because Ryu saw him as strong, when he falls he gets back up, or where Ryu suggested that Johan comes with him to Japan. So in some subtle way it wa kinda shown how their relationship evolved, at least that’s how I saw it.
Of course some things could have been left out, which weren’t needed like the truck scene, which leaves the question how some people get their drives license, if they drive recklessly like this and the sickness scene, i understand Johan, that if he stayed it would have been hard for him to let go and well, I could say we could have done without these scenes, but in the end they where happy together and in my head due some miracle a cure was invented and Ryu and Johan lived happily ever after and where the best uncles to little Kanau.
As already said I really like it and I could rewatch it at some point, when I’m emotionally stable enough. I think it’s a masterpiece, but some things could have been done differently, and the acting was of course super amazing
At the beginning I was like damn, is this the Heated Rivalry of Japan?! Because it had similar vibes, with Sugiki idk provocating Suzuki and Idk I overall just gave Heated Rivalry vibes, but it was really amazing and soooooooo damn good, like I need more, like 40 seasons with 50 episodes 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Those Seniors are so pathetic and still at episode one and I wanted to punch them so badly, my hands where itching to punch the living h*ll out of them
