To be honest, I really enjoyed Dream of Golden Years, and there are many reasons why it became one of my favorite recent C-dramas. While the second half wasn't quite as strong as the first, it was still engaging and enjoyable from beginning to end. My only real criticism is the ending. After the female lead returned to her original timeline, everything was wrapped up far too quickly.
The romance was one of the drama's strengths. Although the male lead clearly fell in love with the female lead at first sight, their relationship never felt rushed. Instead of immediately becoming a couple, their bond developed gradually through mutual trust, support, and shared experiences.
