now my question is, is red beans symbolizing love very common in china that if given to you or something you would automatically think it like that? like is it a common gesture of love in china?
Though I am actually feeling bad for zhuang xu.......but he wasnt actually innocent. he also made some mistake.
you and me 😭 i blame it on the music. I think feeling bad for all of his miserableness and acknowledging his mistakes and bad decisions can coexist, especially as the way i look at it he's quite a complex character neither full white or black, but in gray. He made horrible decisions that ultimately led to his heartbreak. it's his fault. as I'm on ep 31, i wish we would see even a tiny bit of improvement to him.
He needed to realize how mean and harsh he was towards NXG, and how she felt back then. He didn't need a break…
i agree. the way we're seeing it he was absolutely clueless how much XG suffered while he was just tolerating and enabling Ye Rong. He deserves it so that his character can atleast have some growth
I'm out of words. when XG was talking to jiang rui in the call. all of the things she said to him was beautiful. I can't explain how much i admire XG for her character. such a beautiful dialogue. it felt like i was reading a short form love poetry. If i couldn't pick my favorite scene of them until now, I think it was that moment. XG feeling immense happiness in her heart rather than whatever ZX made her feel in the past, while YS is walking upto her, it was such a monumental moment.
well let bygones be bygones. I am very happy that now SOM is getting the hype and love it deserves. I hope it reach even more heights. as for ZLH's fans, it seems they read too much into it, and this drama took the blow. I am new to cdramas and the chinese entertainment industry in general so these kinds of dramas I'm not really aware. thank you for your time tho 🩷
that is so sad. cnets really do take their idols and favs to a whole different level. i agree with you, it's insensible to pin 1 person when a drama fails just because of the top-billed thing in the industry.
I'm a fan of ZJM and when i was anticipating this drama to be released i didn't even knew until i read your comment that she seems to be the one who is top-billed here. but now i realized it's only reasonable because her character is literally the focal point of this drama, the story of cherry.
now i would be unbiased and truthfully say that this drama didn't really nail it for me too, but it's because of the story, pacing and characterizations. it's completely unreasonable to hate on a drama the way they did to this. I'm not the number 1 fan of this drama but i think there's some charm to it too that i felt watching it, still i feel sad and somewhat enraged that this drama wasn't well received because it's not criticizes by the way it should be.
i noticed in cnets, the art of dramas go over their heads especially when their favs is the one we're talking about.
personally for me i would accept the 7.9 ratings here if i knew it was not done out of hate or malicious intents but because the viewers actually soaked up the story it's trying to say.
i didn't noticed i was writing too much 😅 but there i said it. i wish people didn't bully this drama because of those reasons.
do anyone know similar vibes to this drama? strong intelligent fl and green flag ml, i would prefer them to be rich and wealthy too, cozy slow burn with great chemistry. something with very similar feels to this drama 🥹
