To Kim Je Ha, the best bodyguard there is.

as I watch this series from the first episode to the last years ago, I was impressed. the story, the plot, the characters and the actors and actresses portraying them are simply amazing. and need I mention Ji Chang Wook's action scenes worth an applause and are always swoon worthy? and there's Yoona who portrayed Anna's character brilliantly, she's so amazing. and the actress(I'm sorry, I forgot her real name) who plays the stepmother is good, too.

One thing that I'd just like to say is this---I tried so hard to see the so-called chemistry between Je Ha and Yoo Jin. like, I really focused on watching even the tiniest details of the series but damn---those Je Ha and Yoo Jin shippers swooning on them is just.... nevermind. I want to avoid a fandom delulu war here so I'd rather keep it to myself. what the hell.

those toxic shippers swooning over that rain scene---the heck... It's not even a rain scene at all but sprinklers that gone off after it detected smoke from a burning thing that Je Ha did, to get Yoo Jin out of that room. there was nothing romantic in it for goddamn sake.

I don't mind their weird taste at all---but what pissed me off is the way they'd bring Anna down and call her names, defaming her character. I don't know if I watched the same series with these shippers what the hell---but Anna behaving and acting that way is a normal response and defense mechanism. She was forced to stay abroad at a young age, witnessed her mother's death and was abandoned by her ambitious and power-hungry politician father. She was locked up in a monastery, hidden from the world except to the few who knew about her existence. She became a recluse, diagnosed with sociophobia and a severe depressive disorder. anyone who has been in her place will totally understand that she didn't that life. It wasn't her fault. Mental Health issues like that of Anna needs sympathy and compassion, not snide remarks.

Yoo Jin on the other hand is perfect to the witch that she is---her cunning nature, arrogance, superiority complex and wickedness sealed everything. She has always wanted Je Ha dead right from the start and only gets interested in him after that car crash accident and the sprinkler scene. to be honest, what Yoo Jin felt for Je Ha which she obviously shows despite not saying anything is obsession, not love. she obviously like Je Ha, that even one of the oldest member of the so-called cloud nine noticed it immediately.

Yoo Jin was fascinated and obsessed with Je Ha---even calling him a dangerous wolf she can never tame and not some ordinary hunting dog who follows her every command and is always at her beck and call. He was the alpha male so capable and strong not to mention handsome---that dared to defy her orders, even talking to her so casually like they're not an employer and employee. to Yoo Jin, Je Ha is more of a challenge than anything. She may have genuinely like him, but her intentions were never pure at all. She wants him all to herself that even giving an order to shoot and kill her stepdaughter is a like a walk in the park for Choi Yoo Jin. and that night that Anna's mother died, she could've saved her by calling 911 but she did not. She left, leaving these words, "love is not meant to be shared." and at that time, she meant Anna's father. If that's not selfish and wicked enough, then I don't know what that is.

and and the way Je Ha looks at Yoo Jin? nah. K2 stares at Madam Choi with eyes full of coldness, animosity and indifference--- unlike the smile and warmth that Je Ha shows to Anna. K2's eyes lights up every time he sees her. his smile and him cheering for Anna in that ramen and rooftop scene is so cute and adorable, with JCW and Yoona's loveable and sweet on-screen chemistry. Je Ha and Anna are each other's safe space, aside from the fact that it was Je Ha who really fell in love first and fell even harder.

It was Anna's innocence and pure heart that made Je Ha love her the most---not because she reminds him of his past love. It even reminds me of the reason why Katniss chose Peeta over Gale. It's because of the great reason that just like Katniss, K2 already has enough fire inside him. that he doesn't want a fuel that will ignite that fire even more which will inevitably happen had he ended up with Yoo Jin and not Anna. and Yoo Jin didn't pulled the trigger, it was Je Ha himself who did it. He just needs the right time and the right person to do so.

The K2 will teach its viewers the lesson we need to know about the fact that it's not just money, power and influence that destroys the world and one's self---but greed. Just like money is not the root of all evil, but the lust and greed for it.
