To say I was pissed is an understatement

Honestly, I'm into the revenge-romance quiet alot these past few months--- I find it fascinating to watch how the vengeful lead will soon realize he's an asshole mad dog who barks up at the wrong tree. that after the other lead character suffered form their revenge plots and is proven that they're innocent, the jerk one would grovel at his/her feet and beg for forgiveness. as in really beg for it, down on bended knees. but in this series, none of that happened to that f*cker. He was forgiven, just like that. what the hell.

what really made my blood boil so bad that I'm afraid it will run dry, aside from the fact that the douchebag sexually assaulted and forced himself on her--is that scene where Kin forcedly made Tawan kneel down infront of his dead ex's tomb. He insulted her with such snide remarks so uncouth, even a demon won't last hearing such words. He violated her rights as a woman and a human being, up to the point that she hit her head badly that she nearly bleed to death. Her life was put in jeopardy and the idiot Kin still had the freaking audacity to throw more insultes at Tawan. He's so goddamn irritating that I want to put my hand inside the screen and choke him real hard to infinity and beyond.

The story itself was so poorly written that the only reason I watched it till the last episode was Tawan's sister and Kin's younger brothers and his sister Nod and her husband, Wit. not to mention Kin's parents and their household helper. They're so adorable that it's only because of them that I completed the series. other than that, there is none. zip. zero. absolutely nothing. at all.

they could've made episodes that'll show the jerk male lead's character development but they didn't. and the rubbish romance was so rushed and bland that it'll really the viewers cringe. Just one episode and suddenly he loves her all along, despite him abusing her and violating her rights? seriously?! the writers could've made Tawan leave, be it still in Thailand or her going abroad. didn't these scriptwriters and the director knew the great effect of the classic chasing arc in any series there is? my goodness ?‍♂️?‍♀️?

If not for the support characters and their cuteness. if not for them---I dropped this series and won't even bother to continue watching. not recommended, I swear.

an adorable and heartwarming series

one of the things that I love about any series, specially in kdramas---are those with historical touch like BOTC. it gives off a mysterious and nostalgic vibe, making it a nice piece to watch.

I have not much to say, for the story and the plot isn't unique at all. stories like this where the typical arch of pretending to be someone else for money is so used in any series, it's becoming redundant. but, despite that---bride of the century has its own charm that'll make you stay to watch from the first to the last episode. it maybe cliché, but the way the actors and actresses bring their characters to life is what made this series good.

what I also love about this series is the moral lesson that it gives to its audience, specially the concept of karma. that for every wrong deed, there's always a great consequences one must pay, no matter how long it takes---even a hundred years may pass. and lastly, this series proves that it isn't true at all times to all people that the heart can never be taught whom it will love---for everything in this world can be taught if one is really willing to learn.

a brilliant, underrated gem

lately, I have stopped watching BLs due to the fact that nothing is seems to be good about it anymore. the stories, specially the plot is too bland and ordinary--there's nothing exciting about it. It's either the story is too cute that it's cringey, too explicit it looks like a romanticized porn or too violent that's it'd be too hard to get past the first episode.

another thing is the theme of a particular series itself. I'd honestly say this even if I'll get hate from rabid fans---but I really hate the redundant, repetitive and overused "mafia-falling in love-with his bodyguard" and "high school love" tropes. If I'd ever came across such series, I drop it immediately. It sucks and is really boring as hell.

but this one----it has everything I want in a series; though the story and plot itself is not that extraordinary, but the characters and the actors portraying them are so brilliant, one can't help but be impressed. Chan's cunning and clever ways, his arrogance and how flirty and feisty he is---specially to Tin. and Tin, being the tsundere that he is, compliments so well with Chan's playfulness. JamFilm's chemistry is fiery enough to set the screen on a blaze, making the series withy to watch from the first episode to the last. and the second lead couple? deym, Boi. they're so adorable together---and their story didn't overlapped that of the main leads, nor did the main leads overshadowed them. the screen time for both couples are equal, and I applaud the director and writers for that.

Overall, this is a highly recommended story for all BL lovers out there. You'll love it, promise ?️???

I was impressed. highly recommended ?

usually, I'm not into the slow burn type of romance---but I'd make CTG an exception. This series got me hooked since the first episode until the last. It was awesome and amazing ????

The suspense, thriller, psychological and the crime theme of this series is what keeps me at the edge of my seat. The romance part is sweet and not rushed----Ryung and Ji Seok's love did not just popped out of nowhere, but it grew from camaraderie, trust and friendship. It wasn't forced, so seeing their love for each other unfold is Soo lovely to see.

about their personalities, you could compare Newbie and Chief to the classic cat and mouse; that later on became like batman and robin. the troublemaker and the one who's there for her in every trouble she will encounter. Chief scolds her every now and then but he's secretly the guy who maybe tough on the outside but is actually softie, specially for her. Chief is a walking green flag that any woman would be so proud to be with. and that woman fortunately, Newbie Ryung is that woman.

I won't say much about the series, but for me it's one of the best. I highly recommend it. ?

To Kim Je Ha, the best bodyguard there is.

as I watch this series from the first episode to the last years ago, I was impressed. the story, the plot, the characters and the actors and actresses portraying them are simply amazing. and need I mention Ji Chang Wook's action scenes worth an applause and are always swoon worthy? and there's Yoona who portrayed Anna's character brilliantly, she's so amazing. and the actress(I'm sorry, I forgot her real name) who plays the stepmother is good, too.

One thing that I'd just like to say is this---I tried so hard to see the so-called chemistry between Je Ha and Yoo Jin. like, I really focused on watching even the tiniest details of the series but damn---those Je Ha and Yoo Jin shippers swooning on them is just.... nevermind. I want to avoid a fandom delulu war here so I'd rather keep it to myself. what the hell.

those toxic shippers swooning over that rain scene---the heck... It's not even a rain scene at all but sprinklers that gone off after it detected smoke from a burning thing that Je Ha did, to get Yoo Jin out of that room. there was nothing romantic in it for goddamn sake.

I don't mind their weird taste at all---but what pissed me off is the way they'd bring Anna down and call her names, defaming her character. I don't know if I watched the same series with these shippers what the hell---but Anna behaving and acting that way is a normal response and defense mechanism. She was forced to stay abroad at a young age, witnessed her mother's death and was abandoned by her ambitious and power-hungry politician father. She was locked up in a monastery, hidden from the world except to the few who knew about her existence. She became a recluse, diagnosed with sociophobia and a severe depressive disorder. anyone who has been in her place will totally understand that she didn't that life. It wasn't her fault. Mental Health issues like that of Anna needs sympathy and compassion, not snide remarks.

Yoo Jin on the other hand is perfect to the witch that she is---her cunning nature, arrogance, superiority complex and wickedness sealed everything. She has always wanted Je Ha dead right from the start and only gets interested in him after that car crash accident and the sprinkler scene. to be honest, what Yoo Jin felt for Je Ha which she obviously shows despite not saying anything is obsession, not love. she obviously like Je Ha, that even one of the oldest member of the so-called cloud nine noticed it immediately.

Yoo Jin was fascinated and obsessed with Je Ha---even calling him a dangerous wolf she can never tame and not some ordinary hunting dog who follows her every command and is always at her beck and call. He was the alpha male so capable and strong not to mention handsome---that dared to defy her orders, even talking to her so casually like they're not an employer and employee. to Yoo Jin, Je Ha is more of a challenge than anything. She may have genuinely like him, but her intentions were never pure at all. She wants him all to herself that even giving an order to shoot and kill her stepdaughter is a like a walk in the park for Choi Yoo Jin. and that night that Anna's mother died, she could've saved her by calling 911 but she did not. She left, leaving these words, "love is not meant to be shared." and at that time, she meant Anna's father. If that's not selfish and wicked enough, then I don't know what that is.

and and the way Je Ha looks at Yoo Jin? nah. K2 stares at Madam Choi with eyes full of coldness, animosity and indifference--- unlike the smile and warmth that Je Ha shows to Anna. K2's eyes lights up every time he sees her. his smile and him cheering for Anna in that ramen and rooftop scene is so cute and adorable, with JCW and Yoona's loveable and sweet on-screen chemistry. Je Ha and Anna are each other's safe space, aside from the fact that it was Je Ha who really fell in love first and fell even harder.

It was Anna's innocence and pure heart that made Je Ha love her the most---not because she reminds him of his past love. It even reminds me of the reason why Katniss chose Peeta over Gale. It's because of the great reason that just like Katniss, K2 already has enough fire inside him. that he doesn't want a fuel that will ignite that fire even more which will inevitably happen had he ended up with Yoo Jin and not Anna. and Yoo Jin didn't pulled the trigger, it was Je Ha himself who did it. He just needs the right time and the right person to do so.

The K2 will teach its viewers the lesson we need to know about the fact that it's not just money, power and influence that destroys the world and one's self---but greed. Just like money is not the root of all evil, but the lust and greed for it.
