100% agree with this. I don’t find it controversial at all. I wish more people were like “you know it’s…
Yes, that’s definitely another part of it.
I’ve noticed this with almost every drama where the same ML/FL have back-to-back projects. I usually just ignore those comments because, like I said, we all have different opinions — and just because someone’s take doesn’t align with mine doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist.

Also, comparisons are honestly normal. Are they reasonable? Not at all. But they are human. When people get emotionally attached to one drama, it can feel too soon to jump into another with the same lead a few days later. I’m the same way — that’s actually why I waited a week before starting this one.

And honestly, the platforms and production companies definitely know what they’re doing when they release back-to-back dramas like this. They know people will compare, rant, and debate — and all of that is engagement. Engagement means more visibility, more views, and ultimately they benefit from it. So in a way, this whole dynamic is kind of baked into the system.

I’m really enjoying this drama, and I loved LBL too. It doesn’t really bother me if people come in to rant — I just scroll past it. Maybe they need more time, maybe they need to let it unfold, maybe it’s just not their cup of tea. Or maybe, like you said, some people bash one drama to elevate another (this one is mind boggling indeed).

I think we’d all benefit from being a little more kind, patient, and tolerant (within reason, of course). People say they want open-minded spaces, but seems like that only applies until their favourite thing feels even slightly threatened. At the end of the day, it’s a drama — we can all relax a little and let people have their feelings about it.

Thank you 🤩 and agreed about down-voting a drama just to promote another one - some people have way too much free time 😂

Controversial take, but I feel like this needs to be said. I’ve noticed in a lot of comment sections (including this one) that people who don’t find a drama engaging — or who share something they didn’t like — often get met with a surprising amount of hostility.

To be clear, I’m talking about people who are sharing their opinions in a normal, respectful way — not being nasty, insulting, or attacking anyone. This is a comment section. People are allowed to have different opinions. Not loving a drama (or criticising parts of it) doesn’t make someone negative or a “hater.” You can absolutely enjoy a show overall and still have honest critiques — that’s normal and part of having real discussions.

What’s discouraging is seeing people get piled on or bullied just for sharing an honest opinion. That kind of toxicity makes others hesitant to speak up at all, which defeats the whole point of having a space for discussion.

We don’t all have to agree. As long as people aren’t being nasty or attacking others, different takes should be welcome. It’s unrealistic to expect everyone to be rainbows and sunshine about everything — and that’s okay.

Honestly, I get the frustration. The whole “no one communicates so everything explodes” trope is doing a LOT…
Totally fair.
I honestly think she would’ve said everything way earlier if the system had allowed her, but oh well, we wouldn’t have the drama otherwise 😅

I do wish she’d pick a direction and stick with it though, but when it comes to feelings — especially in dramas — they’re always messy and complicated. I’m really enjoying their dynamic a lot too, especially from ep.16 onward.

Only on ep 7 but thinking that I wish instead of her falling for him, it's him falling for her. Why does it have…
I think she definitely starts to care first, but he’s the one who falls first — with real, genuine feelings. That’s at least the impression I’ve gotten so far (I’m on episode 17).

I’m a little disappointed no hate though, it’s just a drama.I really don’t like how the characters keep…
Honestly, I get the frustration. The whole “no one communicates so everything explodes” trope is doing a LOT of heavy lifting here 😭

At the same time, I feel like that’s kind of the point of this drama? It’s almost a parody of the genre with all the classic tropes turned up to max, so it ends up being predictable and lowkey painful to watch sometimes (at least for me).

I’m still enjoying it mostly for the vibes and the leads. They’re fun and cute, but right now they’re giving me more bestie chemistry than full-on romantic one. Visually cute, yes — emotionally convincing as a couple, not fully there yet.

So yeah, I totally see why you’d be disappointed, even if I’m still along for the messy ride. Plus, unless it has a majorly complex plot, no modern drama really needs 24 episodes if you ask me...

don't let the comments run you away first, maybe start it just to see for yourself and then if you're really sure…
Good point 🌻 although the 40 eps for a short drama is making me nervous 🤣

oohhh I love Ryan too!! He's one of my favourites, glad to see him get the recognition because 🤌🤌🤌🤌

Ohhh the plot thickens, I finished ep.17 and dang the Princess Consort is playing 4D Chess bro. I will be very surprised if all the cast remains unscathed, usually they be killing 99% of them 😭😭😭😭

Nah, I definitely get you, I started watching my very first cdrama 5 years ago and was not able to go back to other stuff ever since. It's a pretty niche preference and way less popular than kdramas so I don't really have anyone to talk about it in real life, but I did manage to convince my cousin to watch a few and he loves them, still not nearly as much as I do lol. We cdrama fans are lonely people 😭

Yeah, this drama is a hidden gem, the humor might not land for everyone, but so far I'm loving it., I'm on ep.15 now and it's getting sadder((( There is lots of eye candy tho and the visuals are very pretty.
Loved the ML in the short drama Ban Xing Fu Sheng, a very unusual plot in that one! The feather dude is so extra lol, love him
Oh yes, saw Love better than immortality way back, I think it's amongst my first ones lol don't remember much of tho

I feel you, besides we cannot have a cdrama without angst, and it's inevitable here especially when we have past lives connection. My heart already broke for the ML when they were showing flashbacks of him being a a little white fox.
Oh I hate the CP, they sometimes put on some comedy music when he's on screen but I'm like oh no no no, he's disgusting y'all there's nothing comedic about it!
I'm actually surprised at how long the episodes are lol, they better not give us a sad ending after investing so much time ))))))
I am enjoying the drama a lot but I did notice the pacing and plot is all over the place especially in the first episodes, they tackle a lot of things and the comedy too so I can understand why some viewers would think that but honestly, I've seen weirder lol. It's a solid watch for sure and I think more people will watch it because it's still airing for those who didn't buy premium and it's not really promoted they pretty much air dropped it, but it has a solid rating for MDL
