There's always someone who wants to be different in order to get people's attention. Imagine if a mere character who's good at getting high marks and getting beaten up is going to be more interesting than a protagonist who's a master of martial arts. I've honestly always had doubts about this director ever since I saw Phuwin's kiss scene with Chimon (Never Let Me Go), it was the worst I've ever seen in my life.
