I am excited about Jingyi's role as a blind princess and Zizan.
In Novoland Pearl, Tilan was abused a lot. I hope they dont use that plot. I am also excited about Liang Yongqi's performance. He was great in The Double.

I liked lighter and princess and think they have good chemistry. But I usually watch period and costume dramas.
I dont know chen zheyuan as an actor. I didnt really like Hidden Love's settings so I didnt watch it.
I think I will search costume dramas of his that are to my liking. Maybe I will watch the one with Hu Yitian coz I saw him in the cast too and I liked Hu Yitian from Blossoms In Adversity.

Reading these comments are so unappetizing. I see some of his fans try to restrain this attitude, but is this the norm for male fans? Who cares about these issues? I am more interested to read the plot. I only tune in because of Zhang Jingyi.

I think her beauty is unique. I have read the summary of this drama and I am heavily anticipating this.
I became a fan of hers because of Blossoms In Adversity.
I think this will be the first drama of Chen Zheyuan that I will watch.

Zhang Jingyi's appearance in the new trailer of Zanghai Zhuan is very beautiful. It is not just beautiful, it also has flavor! I especially like her close-ups because her face is really photogenic and can withstand any angle!

Many things about this drama get me excited.
1. Xiao Zhan's role is very interesting. It seems like an anti-hero which is a role I like to see him in. The posters are also enticing.
2. Zhang Jingyi can hold her ground when it comes to acting. She is phenomenal and understands intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships between characters. Beautiful eye acting. I discovered her in Blossoms In Adversity and loved her there.
3. The story is popular but we still dont know the exact synopsis. I love it when productions maintain the air of mystery and it excites the audience.
4. Zheng Xiaolong is godfather of chinese historical drama and is finally making another costume drama after xx years.
5. I appreciate that the fandoms are generally peaceful. I hope it stays this way. Other dramas really hype cp but here is the opposite. I dislike it when cp is so marketed it overpowers the story and characters.

She is so mature, elegant and well mannered. Her thoughts are also beautiful. I became even more enamoured after seeing this thread. She is an intellectual.

Her mother is a concubine herself and even at the beginning of the story, her goal is to marry to advance her status. Being a child of a concubine makes you higher in rank only with maids. When she was offered as a legal wife of a rich man, she organized his affairs and his household.

Sometimes this happens because when dramas get screened parts of the dialogue gets editted out. They mightve switched the original line out because it was censored.

He truly loved her but the circumstances arent in their favor. He couldnt bear to let her die so he took upon it himself... but what a great misfortune it is for Hua Rong to meet him. I like that girl. She was too innocent and throughout the series really dependent with her mom.
The shock of her husband dying and knowing Hua Zhi drowned because of her husband's family was too much for her to bear.

I like her better in the show too.

That guy is so messed up and the actor who played him (Ni Dahong) is so goo，I get triggered in every scene he was in

He is so cunning, crafty, and definitely one of top 5 worst emperor for me.

I can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
But not after my eyes have shed lots of tears.
It was a wonderful journey Hua Zhi, Gu Yanxi and the rest of the Hua Family.
I also learned a lot of life lessons in this drama.
Zhang Jingyi, this is only your first costume drama. You are a force to be reckoned with. Standing ovation to you.

The only thing I wished from this drama is that it should have been better if it was longer... and I rarely say this with 40 episode dramas but it is true.
This work is very moving. Definitely my favorite c drama this year. It would he hard to top it.
