Only had time to watch the first episode so far and it was very enjoyable. It's nice to see Meng Zi Yi play a cold and scheming character. The director is going so hard on the pretty, screenshottable shots where everyone lines up perfectly while looking at the camera that it's a bit too obvious. I hope they don't go fully overboard. But it fits the novel author's obsession with aesthetic characters. It's a faithful way to adapt that. 😂

Another drama with Riley Wang in the supporting role so soon after The Legend of Ros Clouds! I wasn't prepared for Key to the Phoenix Heart to be the next announcement, but I am really curious about the story and the leads's performances.

The ending is actually so beautiful. I expected it to just feel tagged on but no, it rounds everything out. I'm glad the writing doesn't just brush the trauma of these characters off but works with it for a brighter future.

Ye Li really out here getting a better showing during the last battle than Fan Chang Yu in PoJ's last battle. Who's the general here?😭

Very curious about the last episodes because I still don't really care about the East Palace plotline. But the drama has been so good, it'll be nice to spent a bit more time in this world.

I'm weak for two female main characters, so I naturally checked out the first episode. It's the typical revenge mini-drama with all its tropes but a bit of a heavier theme. I couldn't get into this but I am glad it made me check-out the standard drama adaptation Faithful sooner than I otherwise would have. Faithful is plenty different from The Embroidered Truth.

Didn't think a drama like this could exist post-2020. It's so thoughtful and heartbreaking. An incredible drama.

Either the translation is at times pretty bad or it's already noticeable that quite some scenes were cut. Nevertheless it's solid so far. I'm looking forward to their academy days.

So far silly enough for a mini-drama without being too silly. I just expect a bit more from the FL's fighting skills/bounty hunting skills when they erase every other personality trait for it.
